My claim was small and under £1000 but it was money I could not afford to lose. I provided all paperwork requested promptly, but waited two to three weeks between each response from the insurers. They finally requested a doctor's report from my GP and this I provided feeling confident that everything was correct with my claim as I had filled in my original application completely honestly. The insurers finally made a decision after almost 5 months. They paid out under £10 since they said the doctor's report had shown two conditions I had failed to mention. Neither condition needed treatment and had been picked up during a routine scan some years ago. They had no relevance to the chest infection I was claiming for.The implication was that I had been dishonest.

Easy to do online. Reasonable price although was slightly surprised that one stop in Spain on our cruise cost an extra £200 plus.
