With fiat money being continually debased, Gold has always been an attractive alternative but very hard to actually use as a form of money, This solves the problem and I am able to spend my Gold anywhere and the vendor doesn't even know it! Genius. Been using it for a year now and continue to top my Gold for the inevitable collapse of Fiat money.

United Kingdom | 20 February 2024I travelled to South Africa for a 10 day trip Dec 2023 and what a disaster it was trying to use my Glint card!! I did one successful transaction on Day 1 and after that it was blocked everywhere. Numerous emails to the help desk, unblock, fail again. Lucky I had a mate with me with a reliable card. Glint helpdesk finally emailed something vague - which they clearly did not entirely understand themselves - about "U.S.A. sanctions triggering" these repeated rejected Mastercard payments but I don't buy it. Are they saying Mastercard became unacceptable for the 10 days I was in S.A. because I certainly didn't hear that from any shops, restaurants or other travellers while I was struggling to get a payment through. Unlikely. Lack of knowledge regarding correctly solving the issue rather than just keeping unblocking every day is poor. Where was the Glint tech team or their Mastercard team or their app warnings for solo travellers who might have got in very sticky situations relying on them. V. sceptical of their big sell on travelling the world on your Glint gold wallet.
