Before placing an order, I was told there was item in stock and then recieved an e mail confirming it had been dispatched. A few moments later I received another e mail telling me the item was out of stock and I now have to wait week after placing it to get what I want. If I had known this I would have tried elsewhere.

Easy to order and fast delivery. The meter I ordered (Hanna checktemp HP98505) is a brill piece of kit.

Very happy with service

Purchased the unit to check dampness in a chimney breast which the meter readily indicates. One issue however is understanding the meaning of the readings you get from the meter. Have resorted to 'Googling' for answers - there is no guidance for such with the packaging supplied which would have been nice. The meter is a nice piece of kit and neatly does its job - just make sure you know what to understand from its output!

The shopping experience with Digital Meters was excellent. The problem that I had was with the instruction booklet provided with a sound level meter that was very badly translated from the Chinese. It was almost indecipherable and I was minded to return the meter. I contacted the company and they immediately offered to accept the meter back - their response was excellent and I felt secure in dealing with them. Eventually, I decided to keep the meter although I have not been able to download the data to a laptop.

My initial phone call was rewarded by a knowledgeable and helpful first contact. This resulted in my order being placed for the best sound meter to suit my own requirements. So far, this has proved to be of real value to me in my efforts to describe a noise problem with more accuracy and credence than I could have done otherwise. Scientific data is the only way to describe such a complicated subject as sound. My only criticism is directed at the brief operating instructions for the meter from the manufacturer. Other than that, it's been a good experience for me.

Delivery came within 3 days, which is good for the highlands of Scotland. Unit worked well, all instructions and packaging was intact - Good price too.

Very cheap, but bought to gauge moisture around the shallow roots of young plants, which it isn't good for. The probe needs to be inserted for several inches for it to get a reliable reading. Dipping in a saucer of water reads dry. But testing of big pots of plants with deep roots works a treat. Maybe mine's faulty?
