Dealt with Lee and Will. Speedy process. Recommended by a friend. Non pushy salesman. Updating my original review 2 month later from original purchase on 02/12/2024. At the time of viewing the car the battery was dead, I was assured this was common in winter months with cars sitting around for an extended period of time. After looking to purchase the car mid November there was a delay as the dealership wanted to get the car ready, which included replacing the battery for an entire new one. While I was frustrated with the delay I thought it was good they were taking extra care being thorough with the checks. Upon arriving to pick up the car, I was informed that there was an issue with the "tyre monitor" sensor which needed an update and could only be done by Ford, but the earliest they could book in a car would be mid January. I was given the option of leaving and waiting until then or taking the car and living with the light (conveniently after paying the deposit). In my need for a car, I took it as it was and everything worked OK for a couple of weeks. By the 27/12/2024 the battery was going flat on average every 48 hours in the previous week, and being over Christmas was unable and unwilling to book in. I called on the 27/12/2024 and was told I could bring it across on the 30/12/2024 - however when I arrived was informed they did not have a courtesy car available until 16/01/2024, which was incredibly frustrating. I decided to keep the car until a courtesy was available such was my need at that time, and by the time of giving the car to the garage, the battery was dying in less than 12 hours. As of the date today on the 04/02/2025 I still do not have my car back, and in 3 days time the garage will have had the car almost as long as I had from day of purchase. Definitely will not use again and will be looking to return the vehicle.

I recently purchased a fabulous Golf GTI from Redgate select at Shiremoor . Being quite fastidious about cars and after having searched the internet substantially I visited Redgate where they had a selection of cars that I was interested in .. all were presented in an excellent manner .. the attention to the finer details in the cars prep is what really stood out.The 199 point checks carried out before the vehicles were put on the forecourt gave great peace of mind and any work highlighted had been done so no worries in the future . The sales team were outstanding with no pressure or hassling whilst I viewed the cars and were on hand to answer any questions , My thanks to Stew who dealt with me for his excellent service and reassure and advice whilst I completed the purchase ..from viewing to test driving and sorting out any queries to actually driving the car off the forecourt was 3 days ( I could have done it quicker but 3 days suited me better ) . The experience of buying a car from Redgate was relaxing, enjoyable and totally stress free ..I can not praise the team enough , even those not directly involved with me were friendly polite and extremely helpful and approachable , what a great place to work. The car I bought is like brand new and is a credit to the team .. I can not recommend Redgate enough . They have basically smashed it in all aspects. Thanks again to Stew for is outstanding service

Excellent customer service from start to finish. We saw a car being sold by them via Autotrader, the photos, video and and information was excellent saving us having to contact them to ask various questions. We decided the car (and XC60) was the one for us, we have been looking for quite a while and knew what we were looking for. We paid the deposit and then received a call from Andy to go over everything and check we were happy with everything. We arranged to go and see it the following day with the plan that we’d then collect it the following week. However when we got there we decided that if everything allowed we would take it home that day. Andy was supper helpful in getting everything sorted out with our trade in, finance and tax. The car is everything we hoped for and as described which is all we could ask for. We would definitely buy from them again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a car.

Recently got my new car from the Redgate Lodge Select branch and could not have had a better experience. As someone who finds anything to do with cars very stressful, Lee has handled everything in a way that made this easy for me. Responsive, approachable at any time and never made me feel like I had to make a decision quickly.
