The minibus that I booked did not turn up on time. I called the driver's mobile number, who turned out not to be the driver and who told me to call the "office". I was then in constant touch with the company to see where the minibus was while I waited. I was given various, contradictory reasons - that it was stuck in traffic, that it had been involved in a crash, and that they had been completely unable to contact the driver in the first place. After waiting 50 minutes, it became clear to me that I was being lied to and that the minibus was never on its way. The following week I received a full refund but no satisfactory reason for the no-show - the out-of-hours team said that the minibus had in fact "broken down" en route - yet that was not even one of the original reasons given to me over the phone on the day. While the refund was prompt, the blame was laid at coachhire.com's supplier where the real issue was the dishonesty and unwillingness to help from coachhire.com's own out of hours team.

They have been fantastic in helping me organise a coach for a festival. I have received great, attentive customer service throughout the process from Laura and Alex and they were able to find me a fantastic price for the coach we were wanting. They proceeded to go even further out of their way in helping me with an issue from a coach company requesting further unspoken deposits and costs and were able to waiver the charge for me. This was something arguably out of their control in which they intervened and stood against the supplier. Would highly recommend for a smooth service at a great price.

We looked to book a mini bus at a week's notice and the person I dealt with (Laura) went above and beyond to help and found us one, with a driver. The driver was kind enough to stay with us all afternoon even though it was not required. They were thorough and double checked everything where our requirements were concerned. Fantastic.

Exceptionally poor service! 1. Out of 5 buses we booked, 4 were late. Some of them by 30 minutes. 2. One of the buses was stinking. Everything a driver could offer was to spray an air freshener. 3. Another bus had a problem with overheating and had to stop from time to time to cool down. The same bus had a problem with broken air con and jammed heating system (it could not be turned off). Imagine yourself on a summer day with heating on and no air con. 4. Weekends - no operations phone line open. Their office is closed on the weekend so if you have any problem there is no one to call. 5. The overheating bus was promised to be changed for our return journey the same evening. Well, it was not. Which lead to the bus travelling more than 3 hours instead of 1-1.5 hours, with stops every 15-20 minutes to cool off. Another bus followed the broken bus, as a moral support, I guess? With around 50 minors on board, let me remind you... 6. You might have noticed that this company has either 4-5 star reviews or 1-2 star ones. It is because they cannot guarantee who the provider would be, they don't have their own fleet. So if you want to risk your journey, go ahead, gamble away. You might end up with a good one or a very bad one. 7. Despite all these problems, the company did not offer any compensation or refund. Nothing at all. Not even a single gesture of client reassurance. 8. And, oh, did I mention that they messed up and a day before a massive booking, and it emerged that buses will be arriving at a completely wrong time? I had to spend an hour or so on a phone during a very busy event of mine to sort out their mess. The mess that they have created. 9. And if you are still not convinced - go ahead, try it yourself. We learn best from our own mistakes, don't we? 10. Our manager was Matthew. Although I got a feeling that whatever happened to us was not really his fault but rather a common thing in this company and a sign of a poor business processes set up.

We chose to use Coachhire.com to book travel for 24 people to a football cup final recently. Unfortunately due to the recent snow the game was cancelled and rearranged for the next week. We had only booked at 1 weeks notice and coachhire were great at getting it organised so quickly for us. However due to the snow, when we asked for the trip to be pushed back one week, the provider coachhire.com use were not agreeing to do this and our football club was due to lose out on the money we paid for the trip with no way of getting to the game the week later. After some phone calls and a letter explaining our situation I was contacted by the company's head of ops, they endeavored to do everything they could to help our situation. They managed to secure another coach for us to get to the final this weekend with no additional cost, coachhire.com have absorbed all the costs to get us to the final, which is great news! They have really gone above and beyond to help a community run club that often relies on charitable donations to keep the club going all thanks must go to them. We also bought the trophy home which made it so worth it. The company representatives were helpful, friendly and hardworking throughout and they really went out of there way to help us here. I would recommend them to anyone and now know our club will be using them for cup finals from now onward.

Looking to book a coach to take a load of under 7 and under 8 kids to a rugby tournament in Twickenham. Having requested a few quotes, decided on using coach hire.com. They have been brilliant! We needed to increase the size if the coach and the new quote etc provided quickly. We needed to change some pick up and drop off details as there were changes to the tournament, again not a problem and all sorted out. Matthew Denny was incredibly helpful and kept me up to date, especially with the changes. (thanks Matthew!) the coaches were nice and early, had all we requested. The drivers were really friendly and helpful. My only tiny niggle was not getting contact details of the coaches until the Friday evening, but to be honest wasn't a drama. Would definately use again and recommend, faultless for me.

I used Coach Hire for a corporate event, having to get a group of 18 people from Maidenhead to Oxford in the shortest possible time. Coach Hire were great: helpful and efficient throughout the process from booking (thanks, Lee!) to the driver on the day ... and most importantly, the driver was on time and got us to our destination safe and sound. I'd definitely recommend Coach Hire.

Coach Hire has been very useful for a last minute booking after being let down by another Coach company. Although the booking was around 50% more expensive than previously quoted due to the quick turnaround time, the customer service received from Lee Hunt from the Sales team was fantastic. Lee was able to help with any questions we had and assisted us in working on the logistics which all ran smoothly on the day.
