I’m have always been very pleased with the products I receive from Directplants and this time was no different. The plants arrived promptly and are so carefully packaged that you don’t end up with loose plants in a box of soil. The plants themselves look vibrant and healthy as they always do. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my plants now.

Ordered pack of 5 Rosemary plants and was seriously impressed with them when they arrived. Very well packed and arrived in excellent condition. The plants were bigger than expected and were ready to be potted on, with roots showing at the bottom of the pots. Seriously good value for money, many thanks to Direct Plants. Will be ordering again soon.

Good-sized tree arrived promptly, well-packed and looking healthy. Has since been planted out and is doing well. Excellent service from Direct Plants (as usual), so there's no doubt I'll be back for more.

Ordered fruit trees earlier this year. They arrived very quickly in perfect condition and as described. Really nice size that should fruit within a year or two. Thanks.

Tried to message them, Kept being told I had wrong Captcha?? whatever that is and to try again. Tried 3 times without being able to send message Searched for phone number, eventually found one but permanent message "This number is engaged on another call please try later". An hour later given up

Ordered a polytunnel and paid, received a phone call to arrange delivery which was planned for the Wednesday, LEFT STAFF ON SITE TO AWAIT DELIVERY AND OPEN GATES. NOTHING TURNED UP !!! Sent an email and received a fast response stating that the office had no idea who had rang me but the polytunnel was just being sent out today ? I said cancel the order as you clearly dont know what your doing and there will be no staff onsite to take delivery, they then stated it could not be cancelled which we replied there will be no access to the delivery address, Eventually they cancelled the delivery then stated i would receive a refund on the return of the goods that i have never received, why anyone would use this company is beyond me as we are buying elsewhere !!! CLUELESS !!! Please read the other poor reviews as i wish i had , there is quite clearly an issue here

I wish I had read the many negative reviews before using this company, it would have saved me a lot of money. I purchased a plant after moving into a new property. Just after ordering, I went to dig a hole and put some compost in as prep, only to discover 20cm down, there was solid concrete in the flower bed. I emailed to cancel the order before it was dispatched, it said 'awaiting fulfillment'. I asked for cancellation confirmation and heard nothing. The next day I get an email to say its dispatched. I emailed more than ten times and Direct Plants have yet to respond, the plant has arrived and I have nowhere to put it. They are clearly a company who have no integrity and do not care about the customer at all, they will make money any way they can and looking at the many negative reviews, cannot be trusted.

I have given DirectPlants ample time to respond to my complaint when I emailed them straight after my delivery was received. They did not respond, and so I once again emailed them to let them know I required a response. They did not respond for a second time, and so I feel I have no other option but to leave a negative review for this company based on my actual order and the customer "service" I have received (i.e. none) since I let them know I was disappointed with my order. I spent £250 on three topiary cypress trees and a large shrub. Having been a previous customer of DirectPlants I had received a spiral topiary tree last year which was absolutely lovely, healthy, bushy and looked exactly like the photographs provided. This year I ordered a pompom tree and two more spirals expecting similar quality. What arrived, frankly, looks miserable. The spirals are not even clipped at all, they perhaps were vague spirals once upon a time but they certainly have not been clipped for an age, and in fact are so un-spiral like that I cannot even begin to see where to clip them back into shape. In addition, they have brown dead growth in the centre and are very spindly compared to the full healthy trees I received last year. The pompom tree, while not as poor, also has a fair bit of dead brown growth and clearly has remained unclipped for some time also and is very spindly compared to the website pictures. The only good part of the order was the healthy large shrub. I let this company know that this did not reflect £250 worth of plants and that there were better specimens in my local garden centre for a fraction of the price, and they have not responded. I wish Trust Pilot would let you publish pictures, because believe me, I took them and sent them to DirectPlants who failed to respond. You pay extra for topiary because it is clipped into a shape and you do not expect to have to do that yourself after paying a premium for "topiary". Whoever packaged those trees must have been aware that in no way did they resemble the pictures on the website, which says "you will receive a healthy specimen exactly as pictured". They must have seen the brown dead branches too. And yet they packaged it up and sent it out to a customer. A repeat customer who has spent several hundred pound with them in the past. Direct Plants, you have lost a customer, not only because you sent inferior trees which in no way resemble the pictures on your website, but because you failed to acknowledge my complaint and ignored my emails (twice). I cannot express how disappointed I am in your company, and I will be letting my gardening friends know of my experience too. EDITED 30/07/24 - Direct Plants finally emailed me back and promised a 50% refund. They took 4 days to process this though! I have been refunded 50% of the price of the worst trees. They also offered a replacement but I didn't have faith that these would be any better than the originals so I opted for a partial refund. This could all have been avoided if they had only responded in a timely manner when I first complained. Direct Plants, you need to work on your customer service skills and re-train whoever is responsible for customer complaints. Unfortunately I won't be doing business with you again.

Ordered 3 x 3-4foot silver birch trees they was delivered much quicker than expected and arrived as described and in very good condition. Very pleased with this purchase and will be ordering again. I did my research and this is an established company with a good reputation as far as I can see.

I purchased a Taxus Baccata Standishii from Direct Plants. It arrived with no label on it to confirm what plant it actually was. I have purchased several Standishii plants before for different gardens and never had one that looks like this. The branches are very thin, lose and floppy. I have contacted Direct Plants on several occasions querying it and they won't reply. I have looked at their website and there is no facility for speaking to them. They keep sending me advertising emails but until they answer my query I will never buy from them again. Looking at all the bad reviews I am waiting for the plant to die

Bought a Rochester plant for £55 plus delivery fee which few weeks later died as it was diseased, reported several times neither replaced or offered refund for it, Last time left a review and asked me to send them them an up to date picture and wait until May will burst into life, a dead plant will it come to life but still communicated with Direct Plants, never heard back after repeated emails, since I have not bought a single plant or tree from this company and will never do. Advise, please avoid they are big scammer otherwise its your choice. I'll return the plant's corpse in a bin bag for this company to bury it in their back garden.

We had a little apple tree from direct plants and it has died in less than a year despite being well cared for. It seems other companies offer guarantees for 1 or 3 or 5 years but not this company. Also the only way to contact them fir support and advise is via email

I have spent over £300 with Direct Plants in the last six months. I have ordered from them as they seemed to provide more mature plants. All shrubs/trees ok - nothing special but at least they look alive- except for the last tree which is awful. I contacted them by email and sent photos and each time have received the automated email back from them. I have requested either a replacement tree of a different kind or refund. They replied to that email saying tree would improve! Please don’t waste your time and money with them as they have no customer service skills and even if you telephone the given number it redirects you to their email. I rarely complain but feel other customers need to be warned. The last tree was a birthday gift!
