United Arab Emirates | 05 September 2022I have been a customer with LC for many years and have bought and sold with them always receiving great service however it will be the last time I ever deal with them. I sent a handbag in for sale which they were happy to sell when I sent them the pictures. They then messaged to say it was an unsellable item which I was baffled about as the bag was like new. About 3 weeks later after me contacting them on various occasions they returned my bag to me damaged with a broken handle and it 'Like New' when they received it. When I called to make a complaint they said they have reviewed and come to a final decision which would not be changed, they would be; 'Happy to repair the bag at my own expense' I could not believe what I was hearing. How can a well known company take someone's valuable belongings, destroy them and then return then expecting them to pay for the damage that they caused whilst also not giving the customer their say in the matter. Its an absolute joke and I will let everyone know about my experience.

United Arab Emirates | 29 August 2022I have placed several items for sale with TLC. One of them was completely new top branded item. I didn’t agree for TLC to manage my prices or to bring the price of my item down. I just opened my account once and saw that my item was sold and my payout is less than 50% of the originally promised payout! Who authorized that? I would have rather picked up my item and used it rather than sell it for a price that I didn’t agree to at all! Where are the terms and conditions that authorize TLC to do this?! Never I will place anything for sale with TLC.

Costa Rica | 23 August 2022Dreadful company and shocking customer service - do not be ripped off by this firm! I have bought and sold with them and now have three outstanding payments owed - one from 2019! I have sent so many emails and calls and been promised the payment would be made and just sent on a wild goose chase. It seems to be blatant theft. I also bought a Chanel bracelet (expensive) and Dior earrings, both of which fell apart within a few weeks. Again, I sent emails and photos and just dealt with email chat bots that do nothing. You might be lucky and get an ok item or get your money from selling but honestly I wouldn’t risk it.

United Kingdom | 17 August 2022Totally not happy. The item I wanted was on discount and when it was about to be delivered, I have to pay about nearly half of the price for customs tax. The discounted price plus the tax duty is equals to the full price of the item. I thought I was saving money here. Plus you better guys read the terms and conditions prior purchase because it is not a full refund if ever you changed your mind or not actually. "In case of an unsuccessful delivery, any Customs Duties & Taxes borne by The Luxury Closet shall be deducted from the buyer's refund."

United Kingdom | 13 June 2022I received an incorrectly described item from TLC and my heart sank when I saw they were based in the UAE as I thought I would have to fight for my refund, including the £50 in taxes I paid directly to DHL. However the customer service was quick to solve the issue and they collected the item, refunding me in full, including the taxes. So even though I was disappointed at the incorrectly described item, I found the customer service was very good and I think this is a trustworthy company.

United Arab Emirates | 07 June 2022PLEASE READ BEFORE USING THIS SERVICE I used this company regularly in the past both to buy and sell. The buying aspect is fine. No problem. Items come fast and well packed. Selling however is a very different story. First of all your items get lost in the vast amount of items they have on sale. Items have no viability unless LC choose to market them. There is just too much stuff on there. Second, they reduce prices arbitrarily without consulting with you first so you end up with far less than agreed originally. Thirdly, when you ask for your item back they will do everything they can to delay. I called, sent messages - my items took weeks to be returned. I was a VIP customer! Fourthly and most importantly when my items were returned eventually I was absolutely appalled. They had squeezed two of my handbags into a tiny box without putting them in their dust bags. There was no tissue inside them which damaged one of my bags - it lost its structure and had dints in it that were not there before. I didn’t give my handbags to them like yet they saw fit to return them in terrible state, without the box I had given them. They mistreated my bags because they no longer cared - I had asked for them back. Disgusting. I called them immediately and was told I would get a call back by the ‘VIP’ team in 20 minutes No one called me or replied to my WhatsApp messages. I’m now left with a damaged bag and will now have to take legal action. There is no respect for other people’s property from this company. It’s just disgraceful.
