I purchased two pre-owned handbags from The Luxury Closet. I have not received them in the mail yet because I was hit with a 17.6% customs fee before I could receive my purchase. I have just paid it. This is the first company I have shopped with that does not cover customs fee's. I have purchased multiple items, brand new & pre-owned, from overseas & have never had this happen before. I'm not sure if these other companies pay the duties or if there's some other reasoning I didn't get charged but, regardless this charge was ridiculous. If I had realized I would be paying an extra $200 on used items I would have either purchased elsewhere or not at all. I'm hoping that they arrive in good condition because the fee is nonrefundable. This will be my first & last time shopping with TLC as there are so many other sites with authenticators to purchase from without worrying about extra charges you won't know the amount of until you receive an invoice. While they do notify you that "Duty/Taxes May Apply," it's still a shock when it happens, & at such a high percentage. I chose two stars because there are multiple disclaimers on the site about any charges that may incur when purchasing from TLC. This is a lesson learned on my end. *I'll update this review with the authenticity & condition of the bags when they arrive.

I am absolutely pleased with my purchase. The product and service was amazing. I ordered a Chole purse. I ordered it on 5/13 received and email from DHL 5/16 regarding the import fee. Paid it and received my handbag on 5/18!! Amazing. No problems. I love, love, love my Tess bag. It looks and feels authentic. There are serial numbers stamped on the inside of the bag. But I have to admit, even if it turns out not to be authentic I would not be angry but it is a masterful dupe. Beautiful handbag. I've been wanting the Chloe Tess for years, but just could not bring myself to spend over 2 grand for a purse. I saved over $800 with this site. I am beyond pleased!

Pessimo! Ho acquistato un paio di jeans per 550€ e ho contattato l’assistenza via whatsapp per chiedere se ci fossero tasse doganali da pagare e mi hanno detto di no. Un giorno dopo la spedizione mi contatta DHL dicendo che ci sono 214€ di dazi per farmi consegnare il pacco così decido di rifiutarlo per farlo tornare al mittente come già accordato con l’assistenza, ora non rispondono più e non so cosa fare.

I purchased a handbag that conveniently head tears in the leather which was left out of the description and photos. When spending over $2k on something, you would expect for more transparency. I also had the wonderful surprise of being charged an additional $440 for duty fees. I could understand $100 or somewhere around that amount, but not 20%. I will never shop with them again and recommend you also do not.

I'm about to buy some stuff here. but when I read those reviews it gives me a headache. no need! I know they are not making stories and btw, this is the Trustpilot website. next time target customer satisfaction and have a legit checking from the professional. honestly, you are losing your client.

The item is fake. It’s better to have the authenticity verified from other sources as well. TLC is a scam and would ask no one to take the risk of shopping at TLC. This was the 3rd time my order turned out to be fake.

This is my first time purchasing from 'The Luxury Closet'. The company strongly promoted they have an in-house team to authenticate all the items being sold on the sites. After placing the order, the team reached out saying they found some little flaws on the item, and wanted to clarify with me if I still wanted the item, in which I requested for a small discount and confirmed that I still want the item. I had to follow up with the team to get the email from the team, but I wouldn't say the communication was bad, you just have to follow up with them. Parcel received few days after confirmation, and hit by the infamous custom tax, which was such a rip-off. However, their sites did mention on their T&Cs that they will not cover custom tax for certain countries, so I guess the fault was on myself. With the custom tax, the item pretty much costed around similar price as to buy it from the boutique itself. Took the items for a third-party authenticate check, surprisingly result came back as a 'fake'. Reached out to the team (which I had to follow up after initial email again), currently in process of claiming refund back, so will update on this. With all these hassles and the custom tax issue, I will never buy from this site again. Also lesson learnt hard is please always go for another authentication check for every preloved items you bought!
