Had the valuation done, I tried to find out what the valuation was having had a valuation done in April 2024 for £210,000 with a bridging loan company. I heard on the radio 12/12/2024 that house prices had gone up one point something each month for the last 5 months. The valuer said he would value the house as a BUY TO LET and also for a straight sale - it took 7 days for Good Move to TELL ME that the house is worth nothing because there was history of subsidence in the past. I say, "what if I get a structural survey to show that the property is stable". They were not interested. They could value the house at maybe £150,000 and I would get £100,000 (80% of 150,000 is £120,000 so whoever I was speaking to couldn't do the 80% maths in his head). He was adamant that a structural survey would not change the valuation. I made several journeys (90 miles round-trip in a 4 x 4 and trailer) to the house to clear the 4 bedrooms of all the furniture. Then they TELL ME my house is worth nothing. I should have known the offer was too good to be true. I will pay for a structural survey and auction the house. I'm sorry I wasted 2 weeks with my hopes high on completion of a quick sale. I got nothing in writing just a phone call and an offer to sell through an auction. I will not use their services, I have already wasted 2 weeks. I will not just give the house away. Beware, they hope that you are absolutely desperate and will sell at less than half price.

I will not go into details but i will say Bradley, Ross, Sophie and the rest of the team have made a very difficult and hard time a lot easier. I cannot thank them enough and please give them a try, if you go into the process of selling a property in an exceptionally sad time what you get from Good move may not be the best price (As opposed to selling on open market) but you get personal service and a lot of support through the process i have never dealt with this kind of sale before but compared to the normal route this was quick simple and stress free. Contacted Goodmove to sell my house, which was in need of complete refurbishment and repairs. the same day i applied they offered me an acceptable price, given the condition of the property. In the end I sold to a local builder so did not require Goodmove's services. I was impressed with the service provided by Goodmove which was quick and professional. Even though I did not use their full services I would not hesitate to recommend them to someone who is not able to sell their property through the standard estate agent process.

Buying a house or a car can be a very emotional purchase, after all people do love them!, and reviews play a large part of the process of buying anything nowadays. They have done the easy things really quickly, and the difficult things very well exceeding my expectations many times during the transaction.
