Really helpful advice. Clear information which helped with making the best decision. I was concerned that there may be pressure or a hard sell approach. Not at all. Just a very helpful conversation.

Don't trust good move, there was a agreed time for all offers to be put in, our offer was put in straight away, for a call back the next day (as agreed time) to say our offer was accepted on a house.. We have a whole weekend excited for the possibilites of moving house. to monday we had contact with our solicitors and started getting things moving. to half an hour later. Good move rang us to say someone else has giving them an offer and us being out bid. when it was already agreed price.. they was rude, abrasive and wanted us off the phone very fast. they didnt seem "sorry" at all.. all about money with them. so dont get your hopes up. itll most likely wont be true..

Katy has been fantastic throughout the process, showing an equal amount of tenacity and empathy (total understatement)! The process was slowed down considerably by the other side, which wasn't something I'd considered, but the company ensured that our wellbeing was at the centre of their care and ensured we kept afloat during some worrying times. Katy was beyond caring and constantly ahead of the curve in every aspect and genuinely someone who really gives her all to the job; she made me feel incredibly reassured and was prepared on any day off etc to ensure I felt supported!

Be careful. One of us works in property and we explored this option with trepidation. We explained we didn’t want to be messed around with any underhand tactics. They will promise you they don’t mess around and will agree a date of completion. Suddenly you will find a delay here and there of when the surveyor is going to visit and then a delay of the report being sent to them by the surveyor and then a delay of coming back to you after receiving a report. All likely designed to take you right near completion date. In our case it was a week prior. Then comes a drop in the valuation. Don’t fall for it. We had a sale fall through (due to the buyers personal circumstances) before using this company and a survey was done. There was nothing at all that caused the buyer or surveyor any concern regarding the value. We didn’t proceed as we already knew the property value from the previous survey and we also suspected what they were going to do due to the subtle delays. They try and look fair and reasonable and then hit you at the last minute. You are already accepting 80% or less than of the property value. To do this to people on top is bad business and I’m sure a few more people with knowledge will be along to confirm. We will also be contacting some of these organisations they say they are accredited with as we believe an investigation of how independent these surveyors may be worth exploring. As for all the good reviews. I would be wary. Perhaps these people thought they were getting a good deal or perhaps they are not as credible as they appear. We will make sure we get this experience told in many places including money expert as we have information that can verify rather than just opinion to confirm this was foul play on their part. Update: We have had 2 calls from goodmove. They feel our explanation of the events are not accurate. They stated that it isn’t their fault the surveyor made a low valuation so it isn’t their responsibility.
