UPDATED REVIEW: My initial experience with TFX was very challenging (see below) but after a few weeks trying to escalate matters TFX finally heard me and switched the CPA on my account. After that, things went very smoothly as my new CPA was extremely responsive, professional, and knowledgeable. Given TFX's business model of fairly independent CPAs working on specific projects, my only insight is that it can be hit or miss which CPA you are assigned and what they have going on at that moment. In any event, TFX ultimately did a good job and I will use them again this year. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is my first year working with TFX and so far the experience has been horrible, which is super disappointing as there seem to be so many great reviews here. My tax preparer has been unresponsive for weeks at a time, all deadlines have been missed, and while the support team is empathetic, they ultimately haven't been able to do anything other than say they have "passed on" or "escalated" my concerns (but nothing ever seems to come of it). I'm currently in the process of requesting a refund and trying to find another expat tax service that will do the very basic tasks of responding to emails within a week, hitting deadlines they themselves advertise, etc. I went in with such confidence, so it's been a huge bummer to have such a challenging experience with TFX, especially because it now puts me in a very difficult situation of having to scramble to find another provider that can actually get the job done in a reasonable amount of time.

Great Service, Makes filing easy and they know their stuff!

I found TFX about 5 yrs ago when I was getting confusing answers from other expat tax consultants about fixing an Fbar filing problem. They were upfront with costs and clear with the solution. They solved everything, And I've happily been using them for my yearly filing ever since.

Would have loved to have moved my business to TFX based on reviews on here, but after I paid them $50 to discuss their service and my circumstances, they did not show up for their pre-booked and confirmed call. They blamed it on a national phone outage so the call was rebooked for the next day, and then they did not show up for the second pre-booked and confirmed call. I have to date made 11 international calls to their US number to no avail except for initially speaking with their helpline when I was told to book a call via their website to speak with someone who knew more. Currently waiting for a reply as to whether they'll refund my $50 for a service they failed to deliver. Edited to add: I have heard nothing back from them about the missed calls but I have received an automated email following the call no-one showed up to which stated: "We truly enjoyed our onboarding call with you and wanted to check in to see how you felt about it. Were we able to clarify everything about TFX for you? Do you feel more comfortable using our services now?"

The tax consultants at TFE are very efficient, polite and professional and have been guiding me through a complex subject with answers that need done research. The website helps me finding relevant information and is self explanatory that offers very good guidance.

Outstanding Services! My tax preparer Mr. Richardson was very professional, knowledgeable and patient explaining tax laws and the process! I have been OCONUS and was playing catch-up for 3years of returns. The TFX site makes the process a smooth oiled machine for documents up/downloads and notifications.
