This is my second year using the service. The first time the CPA told me I needed to pay and file taxes due to my occupation despite me having to dig up case law in California to prove that I did not and they finally accepted it. I felt like they were trying to get money out of me the first time because I have never had anyone else tell me this based off my employment type. They even have a separate division for people who work in my field at TFX so they would have known, so there is really no excuse for trying to take thousands of dollars from me despite it not being necessary. This past year, I had to mail my taxes to the IRS and due to their CPA's error of not informing me of an issue on a previous version on my taxes, they were returned. They refused to take accountability for not explaining the issue and refused to refund me for the time and money I spent printing and shipping the first batch of taxes and refused to compensate me for doing it again. Overall, I wish I enjoyed this service more because they have a good UI but when it comes down to it, their CPA's are terrible and never take accountability for their errors. Edit: I appreciate their acknowledge of their second mistake finally. However, their lack of acknowledgement of the first and much more egregious mistake shows how dastardly their attempts to swindle me out of thounsands of tax services that I did not need was. And $25 is not enough to cover their terrible customer service and fraudulent practices.
