I was a bit disappointed at first from an apparent lack of resources, it seemed like it was just a bunch of pdfs and a few assignments. But eventually I got in touch with my tutor and asked for some more support and they were amazing and I'm feeling much better.

United Kingdom | 12 March 2024Other than the fact that I eventually passed, there was nothing that went right with my experience with Oxbridge. From the very start they made promises they didn't keep, and sent out incorrect paperwork with incorrect word counts and assignment briefs. By the end of my course I had had 4 different tutors as they kept leaving/restructuring the programme without letting me know in advance. There is no teaching or guidance with the DET Level 5 whatsoever - you just have to figure it out on your own. I love studying and have an MA, but this was genuinely the worst experience I have had when it comes to studying - When my certificate eventually came through after over a year after completing the course, it was such a relief that It was over. Please, please, please avoid at all costs.

United Kingdom | 07 March 2024A good principal however not particularly suitable for under 18's as the support isn't good enough, you hardly ever get a reply and the replies that are sent aren't particularly helpful, so it's okay learning the content but applying it isn't successful because we rarely know where we are with learning. In hindsight, I should have monitored how helpful it was going to be within the 14 days in case it wasn't suitable, however the length of the units is that long, that getting to the tests and assignments, especially with 5 GCSE's took much much longer than 14 days and by the time we realised how unhelpful and useless the assignments are, it was too late and we were told we couldn't cancel. Especially considering the content is locked until you complete the steps, you CANNOT skip ahead and check HOW and in what manner the assignments are done, which essentially means you're stuck with them. When you speak to anyone about it, they just re-iterate no cancellation for ANY reason outside of the 14 days. I think that really, it should be on a case by case basis RE Cancellation and it would have been helpful for them to work with us on this, I asked for no refund but to stop paying any further and for them to take the course back and considering as I've said before the content is locked, I didn't think was that unreasonable but unfortunately it seems it's less about the students and more about the cash. *Edited after reply to add there always seems to be some arrogant reply on each of these comments, as far as I am concerned there is nothing that would ever make me change my rating and I advise everyone reading this to be careful with these contracts and do as much research as possible. It is not just the under 18 that have had issues looking at these reviews. I will let you know what grades she gets successfully using a different platform because, no home learning isn't for everyone but neither is Oxbridge clearly.

United Kingdom | 28 February 2024I'm very shocked about the lack of empathy and helpfulness of the company. I tried to request a cancellation and refund for my course as I no longer needed to complete it and they weren't considerate at all. They kept saying I had surpassed the 14 day cancellation period and did not want to find any alternative solutions to help me. I had signed up for the A level biology course and exam package with a monthly payment plan. I even requested to stop any future payments as I was no longer using the course. They didn't even consider what I was asking and just replied by saying "there is nothing we can do". They provided no explanation for their refusal to consider my request. I believe my request was reasonable, as I would pay for the portion of the service I had used. They are not even willing to refund me the exam fee although I won't be taking the exam! It feels as though I have been SCAMMED! Their lack of understanding and unwillingness to accommodate customers facing setbacks is truly unfortunate. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this course provider to anyone based on my experience. In times of difficulty, I believe companies should strive to be understanding and supportive. Unfortunately, Oxbridge's customer service fell far short of this expectation. It is incredibly FRUSTRATING to be enrolled in a course with such poor service!
