They were all professional whenever they call me on the phone. They would respect my time and ask if it was convenient when they call or to reschedule a call that was good time for me to discuss matters.

Good effort for promoting book friendship

I used iUniverse to publish my first book Operation ARGUS in 2018 and chose them again for my second book Bikini Bravo, and my third, Cold Courage - the latter two both in the works and due to be published later in 2019. At times communications are a little frustrating but overall, I rated iUniverse with 5 Stars as ultimately they come up with the goods and turn a writer's tales into a professional publication that has access to a wide distribution network (print on demand) for sales.

I am grateful this experience. It is my experience that my concerns were heard and the representatives were responsive to my needs.

The staff persons I worked with were generally friendly, courteous, helpful, and professional. With the exception of one instance when the transition from one operation to the other was seriously delayed, I was pleased with the quality and promptness of the services received.

Very helpful staff especially since this was my fist time to write a recipe book. Communication excellent via e-mail. The book was published promptly as soon as all the corrections were completed. I was happy with the final result.

I've been wanting to get my novel published for a while now. Iuniverse caught wind of it like a bloodhound and made me an offer. "One fee, 3 installments, get everything you will need." That was a lie. They have been charging me for everything from editing, to marketing, to making me a website. They charged me for cover art, promising an artist to make me what I needed and get me a site of copyright-free pictures to choose from. I lost my job after my car and my wifes' car broke down. I asked for a refund to try and put the funds towards getting a car working again. They won't refund me $2,000 of the $2,500 I've put into the project because of its been longer than 3 months. They won't refund me the full 500 from my last installment because I will only get 10% or 150, whichever is greater.

iUniverse did a very comprehensive and professional job in helping me to transition my book into a finished product ready for the market. From getting permissions for figures and photographic images, developmental editing and copy editing, cover designing the cover and interior, and indexing, the entire process was done with great skill and attention to detail. iUniverse placed my book at Amazon, the iUniverse website, and other portals where access for readers is easy. Their social media campaigns and publicity campaigns are available as add-ons. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience with iUniverse and will choose them to publish my next book.

The process was a smooth one. I was surprised at the speed and efficiency of the service received. I will definitely recommend this publishing company.

I had some issues understanding what I did and didn’t have, as I was under the impression I had the ability to use a custom Illustrator and it would be covered by the expense but later discovered I did not have it and it would be an extra charge, I was also under the assumption I would have an editor but it made sense that I did not.

They constantly will try to get more money out of me but can’t deliver on there end my book was searchable for weeks up until yesterday all of a sudden it’s no longer searchable and because the library of Congress had an update for the site my book isn’t available on other platforms except iUniverse and they can never give me an answer as of why things keep going wrong. I will never go through iUniverse for a book ever again.

This is my sixth book with iUniverse.

Two things: First, I have been a published author with Iuniverse now since 2012, and this is the second time their printing press has made multiple mistakes in my novels. Granted, they fixed the problem, but it is very annoying when you're so ready to put your work out to the public and this happens Number two: In the future, when I or someone else wants to order copies of my books, I would really like the experience to be less stressful. I hate having to speak with several different people in order to purchase one book. I should be able to go to the website or call up and be done within minutes.

I am thrilled and 100% pleased with iUniverse. I started out with some reservations, but they were for naught. Each consultant was extraordinary. The proceedings throughout were most professional, helpful, and friendly, resulting in a book I am so proud of. IUniverse is a found gem and a blessing to writers and readers!.

IUniverse is an excellent self-publishing company. They are responsive, supportive, and incredibly helpful: especially the editorial staff and publishing staff. Their input and feedback is outstanding and we found the additional line editing to be very worthwhile. The result is a professionally published book that is polished and beautiful.
