United States | 01 July 2023Update: July 8, 2023 I just received a new replacement salt cell from Pool Supply Unlimited. Thank you, I appreciate that and I do try to give credit where credit is due. However, the company they sent the information to would not reply to my email so the only way I knew it was going to be replaced was by shipping emails. That in and of itself is fine. Here's where things get strange. The (brand new) replacement cell is cracked on both sides near the neck where the threads are. Much in the same way as the previous 2 year old one. It was shipped in a box with bubble wrap inside of another box and the boxes were not damaged. I know that PSU would like to blame the shipper but, it honestly cannot be a shipping issue since the two boxes had zero damage. Either way, it is a Quality Control issue and I believe the manufacturer is where the problem lies. But, I will try to get a 3rd one and start there. I will again update my progress. Until that time, I cannot recommend using Pool Supply Unlimited nor the Compupool salt cell. //////// $283.14! I bought a salt generator cell as a replacement back-up. I purchased it in May of 2021 and it arrived in June. It stayed on my shelf until this year in late June 2023. When I installed it it immediately leaked from both side of the cartridge neck below the threads (see pictures). I emailed the company with my concern and they emailed back stating that I was just out of luck and that I should not expect their products to last for 2 years. Even Amazon offers affordable 4 & 5 yr. warranties on their durable items. Anyway, I sent them these same pictures and you can clearly see that the cracks are not from misuse nor wear. It is obviously manufactured with poor materials. The least Pool Supply Unlimited could try to do is contact the manufacturer for a replacement. I guess they are comfortable selling short life disposable items at high prices. Now I'm out the $283.14 for the salt cell.

United States | 21 June 2023Ordered on 4-26-23. Was not told that it was a direct ship. I called the manufacturer, SR Smith and found out it was a (4) week lead time. Finally after (5) weeks, it ships and is wrong. Yes, not Pool Supply Unlimited fault, but customer service after this has been horrible. You cannot get anyone on the phone. They only email and say they have submitted a claim, but no further info is rec'd. They sure were quick to charge my credit card, but can't seem to get help from them to make the order correct. ** DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. **

To be clear, I did not use it. I plugged it in to the power source, and it did not energize. It is defective, and I think they know it.

Didn't hear about our order for a couple of weeks, so I called them back. My purchase was still under review and had no record of me calling and resolving the issue. United States | 15 June 2023Pools Supply Unlimited advertised a pool pump EC-015583 as a direct replacement my pump 011580. After receiving the pump and testing it out, I found it would not put enough pressure to the system. I contacted customer service for a RMA return number and was denied and referred to THE MFG Pentair for warranty. After talking with Pentair they told me I was sold the wrong pump. Pentair put me back to Pools Supply. I gave them the case number and haven't heard a word back from Pools Supply. After reading many, many similar experiences I know I am out $909.00. I should have done more research into Pools Supply before I made the purchase. They bury there policy about testing the equipment that they sell you. If you test it or in their words "use it" it can not be returned. Even though the product was falsely advertised as a "DIRECT REPLACEMENT! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY! I don't know what world you live on but in my world a direct replacement means "A DIRECT REPLACEMENT" DON'T SAY IT IF IT ISN'T TRUE!

United States | 13 June 2023On April 5th, 2023, we ordered a Waterway Proclean single cartridge filter from this company (Pool Supply Unlimited). We received the item on the 24th (19 days later), on Saturday May 6th, and when it was unboxed for the installation, we saw that the inlet port was damaged beyond use (see images). I went to their website and filled out a Refund/RMA request on Sunday the 7th of May, but no one reached out to us for a refund or return shipping label. After calling multiple times eventually I got through, and a ticket was created by Isaac Chagoyan (sales) who requested photo proof of the damage. These images were sent on the 11th of May for a “UPS Damage claim”. This is where things took a turn. I am still waiting for my refund and for a return shipping label on this item. I was told that they have all they needed but still it's been over two months since the initial purchase, and I have yet to receive my refund for a broken product. In all this time my pool has turned green, and I had to front the additional cost to purchase another unit (with another company thankfully) to get everything working properly. I don't understand why, given the proof of damage (sent images), that my money is being held hostage by this company. They couldn’t even hold up their end of the transaction! No one have ever reached out with an update, or to process my refund. In fact, every conversation with the company was initiated by me. To this date, my last email to Isaac was 11 days ago with him telling me to “please stand by for a response”. This has been one of my worst customer service experiences so far and just an outright fraudulent business practice, holding people’s money ransom. If you are considering buying from the company, DON’T! Save yourself the time and hassle. It’s not worth the aggravation. BUYER BEWARE!

United States | 04 May 2023I ordered three parts for a UV light. Two came in in 5 days. The most important is a quartz tube that protects the bulb. That took 8 days and came in broken. I wrote to the seller who asked for proof so I sent a picture. He has continued to stall. First, he said he was waiting for the manufacturer to respond. After 2 weeks, I was emailed a new invoice with a $0 balance but no explanation. I write daily but they are totally unresponsive.

Called x2 to confirm and no one answered both times to ultimately find out that neither item was in-stock and up to 6-8weeks away. asked them about it through online chat and they abruptly ended the chat(Sergio) when I accused them of false advertisement. But below that it adds, in smaller print - these tiles are sold in 12” squares of tile. So I ordered what I thought was 30 sq feet of tile and instead I received 2 measly sheets of 12” squares of tile. Then of course they were willing to send me more, but I would have had to pay for extra shipping to have it arrive for a job the next day. Lousy business practice, poor advertising that shows they’re dishonest and cheating their customers. I won’t be back!

United States | 18 February 2023If I could give them zero stars I would. Called them and explained the pool light model I had and being it was an older model asked which one I should order. The told me the part number and took my order over the phone. When it arrived it looked too big for the niche so called back and was told I could try and wait until my installer came and see if it fit. Installer came and it was too big, I called them back and they asked for pictures, I sent them pictures and then they told me oh you put it in the pool we wont take it back now. how else do you tell if it is going to fit? Now no refund no exchange nothing but rudeness. Stay far away from this company. Wish I would have seen all these reviews before I ordered from them. Buyer beware
