United Kingdom | 01 April 2025One of your sales team cold called my 89 year old mother in law who has dementia and totally misled her to believe she was talking to EDF and got her to change suppliers to Utility Warehouse which she had no understanding of how this had happened. They also sent her a SIM card, what was she supposed to do with that. This has caused her unbelievable distress, What makes matters worse is that your Company did exactly the same thing 12 months ago. This is an outrageous practice phoning very elderly people and persuading them to change suppliers without any knowledge of what they are agreeing to. We have lodged a formal complaint with Utility Warehouse who were very helpful , however we were advised to make a formal complaint to yourselves. When we called the person on the phone didn’t want to know and stated you need to complain to Utility Warehouse it’s nothing to do with us that is the process. I asked if you were a separate company to Utility Warehouse to which she replied yes we are a separate Company. I said therefore the mis selling and appalling practice is your responsibility and I wish to complain to your company after which she cut me off. This whole practice of cold calling the elderly and vulnerable adults is totally unacceptable.

Je m'aperçois que je suis en négatif sur le compte électricité et en positif à peu près pour le même montant sur le compte Gas. J'ai beaucoup de mal financièrement en ce moment, c'était t'il possible de régler mon compte négatif avec le compte positif car je pense qu'il y a eu des erreurs de frappe pour en arriver à cette situation. I asked them so many times to remove myself and they promised they will do it, but they are liars! I strongly believe they are scammers! Stay away from this company!

After a short conversation with a pleasant sales person I found that I was being asked to change my energy supplier. I explained that I would require a satisfactory written proposal before I would make a decision. I have not yet received this proposal and made any written approval. I was therefore astounded to find that with no approval from me a request has been made for my MPRN
