I can't rate McEwan and Fraser highly enough and in particular Claire Morris, from start to finish, claire provided a excellent service and some great advise. This was a very difficult period if my life and Claire certain played her part in easing my stress. Equally theres a mis-conception regarding cost when selecting a large law firm, this is not my experience, i found McEwan and Fraser to be very competitive and the service cannot be matched. I have very recently had Sarah Douglas acting on my behalf as my solicitor through a very difficult process of selling a home with an ex partner. At times, I have felt very stressed and frustrated with the process itself and all the work that has come with it - however Sarah has been excellent in terms of reassuring me throughout and assuring that all legal aspects were covered professionally and efficiently. She has been an absolute star, supporting me and keeping me right - even when my attitude and confusion towards certain areas could get the better of me. She has took it all within her stride and made sure that we rode the journey with eagerness and hopefulness. From the off I got a great feeling from Ben Clark when he came to value the house, he was open and honest and explained everything about the procedures etc of selling a property. Once I agreed to McEwan Fraser selling my property everything moved swiftly and smoothly. Everything happened when they said it was going to happen even though it was just before Christmas when most estate agents were closing for the holidays, everything worked out well from the surveyor and the photographer they arrived on time when they said they were arriving, I know this sounds like a simple thing but in this day it is not the norm unfortunately. The Property Dashboard is great and easy to navigate. Adeeb was an absolute delight to work with, great in communication and always got back to me in good time. All in all fantastic service provided throughout. Would recommend McEwan Fraser to anyone.

Disastrous legal firm, would not recommend for property sales/purchase. We were consistently delayed proceedings by over two months and the blame was always pushed to other companies but eventually McEwan Fraser did take ownership of issues when the director became involved. I was then assured by this director that our completion date would go ahead without further delay only to find out 48 hours later that it was delayed by another two weeks. The slight reduction in fees did not cover our additional expenses and the partner on our case didn’t seem fussed by this. Overall, would not recommend as they seem to have went downhill massively in recent years.

McEwan Fraser Legal helped my partner and I purchase our first home. This was an overwhelming process for us but these guys made things so much easier for us. Answering any questions we had, being on call (even during the festive period) to ensure everything was dealt with and covered so we could move in on the date agreed. I found the Property sale arm of the firm to be brilliant. The Valuer who worked on the sale was first class in being professional, enthusiastic and a wise counsellor. The Legal arm I found to be very disappointing and had I known in advance the quality of service they provide I would have paid more to use an alternative firm. I found them to be slow and uncommunicative; lacking any real desire to make timely progress let alone a sense of urgency. We did not need a quick sale or a quick move from accepted offer to missives and completion. Just as well as it took months to get from offer to missives despite the fact we encountered no great difficulties. Everything just took ages and the only reason for that I can imagine is that the case seemingly wasn't looked at from one week to the next. The response from McEwanFraser says someone will get in touch. Guess what - 4 days after that comment nothing heard from them.

House sale and purchase handled by Ben and Claire. The initial work handled by Ben during the festive season then closed out by Claire when Ben was on annual leave. The sale and purchase was complicated by the fact that three different solicitors were involved who were all closed either completed or partially over Christmas and New Year. Both Ben and particularly Claire during the final few days handled the transactions - and our stress levels! - in a professional and timely manner. Keeping us informed and advised every step of the way. Great service in very trying circumstances.

Absolutely dreadful. Couldn't be more helpful until I had signed up to sell, then couldn't care less. Communication throughout the selling process has been abysmal, continually having to chase them to find out what is happening. And not getting a reply for several days. Now on completion day. Almost 4pm, still nothing, still having to chase and getting nowhere. Absolutely would look elsewhere. This lot are a total shambles.

From the first contact with Craig Peters at McEwan Fraser regarding the sale of our house we knew that we had chosen well. He was in contact frequently, and gave us the advice and the confidence to put our house on the market. When we chose our new home, Craig was extremely helpful in making a, successful as it transpired, bid. And he was always on hand for support. Fantastic.
