I thought I was getting BU bars but they were secondary Market few scratches

My husband and I purchased thousands of dollars worth of gold and silver on 10/8/23. We just received it today (12/19/23) after driving 20 miles to go get it with a whole lot of hassle. Our first package was lost by the post office on Oct.27th and then the replacement package wasn't mailed until 12/6 and it was supposed to be mailed on 12/1 or 12/4. They so restricted the package that my husband could not change the delivery date to a day that we would actually be home to sign for the package. After much back and forth between fedex and sd bullion, we decided to go get the package after being told by SD bullion that they would hold it for 5 business days (starting 12/14) and I even called Fedex before we left to confirm the package was there and we could pick it up. After arriving at the Fedex facility, we were told by the CSA that SD Bullion requested for the package to be sent back and they could not release it. I called SD Bullion so they could call the Fedex 800 number to open a tracer and release the package as that was what Fedex said needed to be done. The first rep basically told me they had too many customers waiting to deal with me and there was no supervisor to speak to, the 2nd time I called I was placed on hold and hung up on, the 3rd time I called I was placed on hold and the rep returned to tell me SD Bullion didn't have time to call Fedex to release the package and Fedex would need to call them which was the exact opposite of what Fedex said. Thank God for Shbrita at Fedex that took the extra step to help us get our package by calling the number at SD bullion since SD bullion wouldn't call fedex. They will never have to worry about me buying anything from them again because they don't care once they have your money and they will refund your money and subtract 5% if the package is returned. The big kick in the teeth was when I opened the box and see John 3:16 written on the box. Please don't insult God like that by your crappy service because you didn't reflect God in any way. Maybe you should try do unto others as you would have them do to you. After all, you might be upset if you spent thousands of dollars on a package and over 2 months later had absolutely nothing to show for it and then you can't even get it delivered to your house on a day that your home and then expected to drive to go get it.

SD has an easy platform and great prices when it comes to purchasing bullion directly from them. If I have any criticism it’s directed to the postal service who seems to have difficulty delivering packages that require a signature. But that is out of SD’s hands.

Buyer beware! They don’t stand behind their products. I purchased 1 brilliant uncirculated (BU) coin and 4 very good (VG) coins. The “BU” has rim damage, very little original luster, and deep scratches. One of the “VG” coins is cleaned, 2 of them have an outlined design/missing rim details. Emails asking for assistance were given dismissive responses and a manager on their call hotline was unwilling to even receive pictures of the coins in question. Apparently, their merchandise is “graded by third party sellers” and they “have no control over the quality of merchandise”.

very professional, quick to quote, quote is highest anywhere, fast turn around time, I sold some coins last week and was so pleased with how smooth and quickly it went that I decided not to sell back to the original dealer the second time around, as the quote was just as good as original dealer and much quicker turn around. I’ve purchased from SD bullion for some years but have never sold out nail recently. I started with selling off some silver to see how the process would go. First off the buyback price was very competitive and once I linked my banking info in a secure portal everything else was streamlined including using their shipping label which is insured. Just follow their packing guidelines and print off the label and drop it off at FedEx. I received an email when they received my package as well as when payment was sent. It went so smoothly that I let go of some gold as well. This time went even smoother because I already had an account on file, so no need to link bank information again. This is a quality company that operates with integrity and they have a life long customer with me!

Always a good experience buying from SD Bullion. I pay by paper check via US Mail to take advantage of the price discount. My orders take a bit longer but my price is locked in at the time I place my order and I get timely updates of the progress and shipping status of my orders.

Do NOT do business with this company. I placed an order first time. They or they carrier botched the delivery and they simply told me I was out of luck!!! Incredible that they think I should pay for their mistakes or their carrier's mistakes. They failed to get a direct signature as instructed. For whatever reason they also refused to file a claim with FedEx. That is not going to fly, SD Bullion, you should be ashamed for thinking this is acceptable.
