I did not like that both of my gold pieces had big dings in them. I understand I did not order "proofs or graded" product, and some scratches would be acceptable, but these looked like they fell off the counter onto their edge.

STOP… Do not buy from SD Bullion! I made a large purchase of gold and silver. After placing my order an item I purchased went on sale the next day for $300 less. This was not due to spot pricing just an "On sale" item. When I contacted customer service prior to shipping I was told too bad better luck next time. Approximately three days later I was doing some online price comparisons and found a competitors site selling the same monster box I purchased from SD Bullion selling for $1500 less... Yes $1500 less! I again contacted customer service to get an explanation as to how this other seller could be selling it for so much less. I was told by the customer service representative that he had no explanation, which obviously did not sit well with me. Fast forward a couple days later and lo and behold SD Bullion had reduced the price of that same monster box that I had purchased a week earlier by $1100 on their site. Keep in mind that the spot price on silver had gone up nearly seventy five cents per ounce. Once again I contacted customer service to express my displeasure and was told too bad so sad. The customer service at SD Bullion is the worst I have ever experienced. They are obviously trained to deflect and make ridiculously poor excuses for their bad business practices. If they put half as much focus on training in dispute resolution skills as they do in to obfuscation practices they would have many more faithful customers. I understand that they cannot account for changes in market pricing but in my case they made a big score and had no intention of trying to find an amicable solution to retain me as a customer. I would never use SD Bullion again and I strongly suggest that you don't either! Caveat emptor'!

I guess a signature required would make the cost go up? I would be cautious about ever ordering more than I'm willing to just "lose" that way. Options?

The level of service is high, the offer of products and availability is great. I recently was offered a silver coin at spot price with no premium. It is my experience that the actual cost of product is available at the near very end of checkout process. The special "spot price offer" was (to my understanding) not clear whether the offer would be fulfilled for a single or multiple coin purchase. I am greatly appreciative of the SD Bullion team and family for all YOU do. Truly a top notch and much needed service.

If you are a serious real purchaser I would advise to NEVER buy from SD Bullion. I wasted an entire week dealing with their incompetence. They said they couldn’t verify me so I sent them the extra info they wanted. Then no response so I called and they said they had the info and reviewing it. Then no response again. Called again every day and got different stories. Finally they just cancelled my order with no reasoning at all. I never received my order from them. Now I am worried that they have all this extra info from me that they say they didn’t get but did get and what are they doing with it. They won’t delete my account. They are incompetent and useless.
