This company should be shut down for fraud! Contact your Attorney General in your state ,criminal charges should happen! Charging me 108.76 for a cancellation ,no email from them ,I ordered once after apparently ,and then actually tell ing me that i will receive a email for my cancellation ,but no verification number! Lol ! Better Business Bureau ,Attorney Generals everywhere will be notified! This criminal theft is outrageous! Especially ehen a family member passed away ,,,,the whole reason for the cancellation invoice,!You people make me sick! I pray for you all!

Ordered March 23, 2023. Check cancelled March 30, 2023. By April 13, 2023 order was still not shipped. Contacted SD three times inquiring about my order and given the same response you see throughout all the SD replies to complaints. Now 15 days since they have had my money and still no receipt of my order. Everything SD says about how they process you order is untrue. Poor customer service and you wait and see what they say in response to my complaint. It will be the standard canned response. Not a happy customer nor will I be a repeat one.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH SD BULLION!!! The customer service representatives are the worst!! I had cancelled 4 orders with them! I was waiting forever for the orders and 2 were a week beyond the ship dates. They owed me $6,780.48 and they told me the check was mailed and I was to receive it April 13, 2023. It didn’t come in the mail but I waited till 2:30, thinking that it might have been sent FEDX. I called at 2:30 and the representative told me, yes it will be delivered today. I asked for the tracking number because to give an arrival date you need a tracking number. He put me on hold for at least 15 minutes and then came back and admitted there was no tracking number. I actually had a rep call me a LIAR!! I finally did receive the check on April 17th. They contacted me asking me to remove my review now that I received my check but I revised it because I still have to make people aware of the treatment I received from the reps. I have done business with Money Metals and have never experienced anything but 5 Star service. Needless to say I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH SD BULLION AGAIN!!

Make sure you don't make any mistakes with your shipping because they will charge you a $25 fee to help you change it. Pretty crumby when you spend more than 10g with them. Thanks for no help on the customer service I will be using you competitors from now on!!!!

I find it really odd reading all the neg. reviews people have left because I thought SD was great! I've only made one purchase from them and thought they had very competitive prices even better on some items, they didn't have a wide of a selection as some other companies I've purchased from, I did really like the first time buyer promotion they had on a 5 oz bar of silver for spot price no premiums, only company that I've seen do that, shipping took about a week after my check cleared and that perfectly fine in my book, I will definitely be doing business with SD in the future and would recommend to family and friends!

MISTAKE to deal with this company. Sent a wire, everyone was great until I tried to check and see why my order never shipped on the promised date. Had I spoken to a person with real customer service skills, I might be ok with waiting. I got the most ignorant "so called" Customer Service man, Al. I had plans to invest my substantial IRA and a lot more. But the jerk that answered the phone, I'll never work with this company again. He was so rude, he acted like my questions about my order, MY MONEY, were unfounded. You should have read, you should have done this. Immediately he went into "defense" mode which makes me very worried about the money I probably lost to them. Not to be trusted. They give FAKE dates for shipping. I fully understand policy and difficult times. I'm on hold now trying to find out how to cancel my order. I will pay more at a reputable company. Don't shop here! Well, got the same talentless rep, Al, and he advised me they will charge me a ton of fees if I choose to cancel so I'm screwed! Don't shop here!

I sent my payment in the most efficient way possible, via Bank Wire and it took them EIGHT (8) business days (from 3/29 till 4/10) for their fulfillment to process and ship the orders while their normal processing time is 5 days (which is honestly unacceptable as well). On top of that now I have to wait an additional 5 to 10 business days for them to ship it to me. 8 Days is excessive, I did my diligence in getting them payment and they sat on my request by dragging their feet and using the excuse of "unprecedented demand" Well guess what, purchased a Palladium coin from a different broker (Liberty Coin) on 4/4/23 and via a Credit Card and it ONLY took them 1 day to process and 1 day to ship. I received my shipment on 4/6/2023 w/ their standard shipping (NOT expedited). Basically SD Bullion is running a classic ponzi/pyramid scheme with customers funds, there is zero reason for them to take this long to fulfill the order unless they really selling inventory that does not exist. If you can't fulfill an ordered they they have no reserve inventory, instead they are taking in new investor incomes, earning interest on the float time and then when it suits them fulfill the order and if there's any delay just use the excuse of "unprecedented demand" I followed-up with 2 times and each time they said it takes 5 days and I followed up after the 5th day. After the 8th day (honestly it's been 9 days if you count the original wire date) I get an email that it will take another 5 to 10 additional business days to get my order delivered to me. 5 to 10 business days? What, what are they using stage coach? They are not they are again using this an excuse to hold your cash as float to earn interest before they actually secure the item you purchase. What a complete scam! THEY ARE RUNNING A PONZI/PYRAMID SCHEME, I WOULDN'T BE SURPRISED IF WHAT THEY SENT ME IS FAKE.

Well, ordered 3/23. Money cleared within a few days . It’s 4/7 and no sign of processing, shipping or even an expected update. I asked for an update and got the canned response that was a copy and paste from the website. Which is fine. Ordered from Apmex a few days after (3/26) and my product is set to be here Monday . I don’t mind the wait and understand the “demand and shipping times” but at least give customers an estimate on when to expect delivery. If you are reading this and haven’t decided on which company to buy from … you know who I would recommend. On the bright side , if they keep this up enough customers will stop ordering and they can get caught up on orders.

After reading multiple experiences here on TrustPilot, I will say the canned, generic, boilerplate responses from SD Bullion are not building my confidence in buying from them. Plus it seems it is always the customer's fault. I am now reconsidering buying from SD Bullion.

So sad… SD used to be my go to dealer with lower premiums but they’re now a metals dealer I DON’T TRUST! I paid through ACH and SD received my payment March 16th. Today is April 6th and I get, after 3 emails and 3 phone calls, NOTHING! I offered them to cancel and refund the purchase price AND THE INCREASED AMOUNT OF GOLD SPOT PRICE SINCE. That’s $887 in appreciation but they said, “no”. I was told my order “should ship in 3-4 days”. It’s BS and they and I know it. SD, why did you let your loyal customers down? JM sent my metals out quickly as usual but SD keeps saying, “the industry is underwater trying to catch up”. BS! SD is underwater. My trust in SD has been shattered. The customer service is so lacking I don’t know where to begin. You get the picture. JM has been outstanding and ALWAYS has a better selection. With JM you can ACH up to $100K but are limited to $20K at SD. At the very least, SD should refund the $17.99 2-day shipping. Anything less is a gross insult to their customer base. Update 4/14/23 Got my most recent order. Now I can sleep again. I’ve had MANY transactions with SD over the last 3 years and this one is my last. I’ve paid SD at least $10K in premiums during this period and to not better serve me as a customer than they have most recently, is despicable. I’ve read the SD response to my initial review from 4/6/23 and it’s just a copy/paste from their FAQ page IMO. Guess they didn’t think I could read either. Adios SD!

Same experience as others. I am a repeat customer and after 2-3 weeks I am still waiting on my order. I find it funny that SD Bullion will take you to collections if you don't hold up your end of the deal, but when they don't it's just "sorry". Then if you want to cancel its a % because THEY aren't doing their job correctly. The apology note was a joke because others are shipping just fine. This is an SD problem not an industry problem. I won't ever come back, if you are a new customer stay away. There is many other great dealers that won't treat you this way. I also talked to customer service and apparently I was irritating them by calling. Stackers, newbies and collectors go elsewhere for you metals, unless you like waiting and excuses after payment clears.

Same as everyone else waiting times are ridiculous! Going on 10 days! When i called super rude customer service pretty much telling me to shut up and wait i bought from them before but that will be my last order with them i rather spend a couple dollars more over spot but get a better experiance just saying

I paid for the two day shipping and I paid with a wire so the shipment should have got to me quickly. I still don't have it a week later. The two times I have called the representatives were rude and if they were in front of me I would have punched them in the face. This is the first transaction I have had with this company. I have used JM Bullion for over 100k of gold/silver and decided to they SD because they had a lower fee. When I called today the guy was a total a-hole and charged me $35 to cancel an order that they haven't even put together yet a week later. I say scam but what do I know I am only a doctor.

Horrid site. They have a $500 minimum now. That sucks. And their premiums are par with other seller who don’t have a minimum. Guess I’ll go to the other guys who will accept my money

The company advertises and promotes that all it's packages are insured and yet when I had a package that was either never delivered or was stolen they refused to do anything about it. Even after sending a sworn affidavit and eventually the police report nothing! Stay far far away from this company.

Update as of May 2023: I gave this company another chance and their shipping improved greatly. Since my original review I have ordered 2 more times and my items were shipped quickly. Lack of variety of items to choose from keeps me from rating 5 stars. Original review: Slowest delivery, bad business practice and terrible customer service. Placed an order and paid by PayPal. Got same day confirmation from PayPal that SD Bullion was paid. However it took over 5 days for SD Bullion to acknowledge they received payment before moving my order to the shipping department where I had to wait 5 more days before my order was shipped. Finally 16 days later I receive my order shipped in a priority mail envelope that was folded up to fit in my mailbox. All other companies ship out next day in a priority mail box with protection inside. When I reached out to customer service to inquire about my order all I received was a non caring response quoting their online policy, which I was already aware of. However payment was confirmed same day so SD Bullion shouldn't have held up my order because it's not a mail in check payment. Will not buy from again. I received multiple orders from other companies during the time I was waiting for 1 order from SD Bullion. I do not recommend them.

This company started out by delivering my orders within 3 business days. I started with small orders and placed larger and larger orders. I only ordered items that they stated that they had available for immediate delivery. as my order size increased the longer it took for them to get my order (s) sent out. My latest order was placed and money accepted 9 calendar days ago (7 business days). when I followed up on this order, I was told that they could not give me a tentative ship date but if I had not received a notice of shipment by next Friday, I should feel free to call and follow up. It is one thing to be late it is another to not be able to let a customer know an approximate ship date.

SD bullion used to be much quicker at getting orders out. Used to take 7 days total from time of receiving payment/payment clearing to arrival at my P.O. box. Customer service is sloppy at best and just hand out a very vague response to your questions and concerns after years of doing business I'm moving on.
