Product perfect, communications excellent. The problem occurred after order completion at which a specific delivery slot had been requested and verbally agreed. Post order we were contacted by the delivery company to say the items were ready for delivery and if not delivered by a date before our original requirement then the storage charge was £50 per week. This was challenged with the selling store in Solihull who checked the order said we had not specified a date and then tried to hide behind the contract detail. Verbal agreement was then given by the store that any charges would be waived, after which it became apparent no conversation had taken place by the store with the delivery company. This was the point at which we committed to their date which created great inconvenience by having to work around delivered goods while work was taking place. The arrogant attitude of the store manager was breath taking. Moral is get a confirmed delivery date on any order you place. Judging by other online feedback post sale customer service is not of the required standard. Ex Service Manager.

I found the upholstery on the arms of the chesterfield style sofa bed to be too loose. The buttoning along the back of the sofa has tightly finished pocketing of the material, yet along the arms it seems to be looser. The edges of the padding beneath the velvet appear to have harsh edges, not the rounded shape to be expected on this style of upholstery. I had expected more, especially considering the price tag.

Well laid out showroom with samples to make it easier to visualise. Very helpful customer team. The sofa looks great and is clearly good quality, built to last.

Darlings had a great choice of furniture of a very high quality. The sofa I chose arrived slightly earlier than expected, and I have been very pleased with both the item itself (the build-quality and excellent materials used) and also with the delivery. I am generally delighted with my purchase.

Customer service not great and not very responsive. We had an issue with taking delivery and DoC had to keep the sofa in storage for a few weeks and charged the for the liberty. The agent we were dealing with kept saying things were sorted, when they weren’t in reality. He would make promises and then wouldn’t deliver. Not reliable and unprofessional.

Everything excellent

Ordering the sofas was easy and everything was clearly explained. There was a slight delay on delivery but it wasn’t a showstopper. The delivery guys turned up slightly early, 7.45 am which was great. They were incredibly helpful and efficient. They took all the packaging away. All in all we were very happy with Darlings of Chelsea.
