I have been on 1stdibs as a seller for over a year. In this short period we've been targeted by scam and fishing attemps numerous times. The last attempt came from a perfectly valid 1stdibs email which refered to a sale validated on the website, urging us to update our complete card details (CVV included of course). Contacted 1stdibs asking for the urgent deletion of our details which refused, saying our contract is valid for another year. So: data breach, takeover of 1stdibs itself by hacker, and they still want to bind us to a stupid contract ?

I am beyond in shock! I bought a Chanel cream bag . It arrived with it being painted on the corner large and obvious. My bags never have been painted. Chanel repairs from Chanel or a bag expert. Google for that. I asked to return the bag because the value was destroyed with touch up paint on it. The policy said I could return and their bags are protected. The seller they represented said I sent a different bag back . I was that is not possible. I have tracking number of my return. Next I am sent photos of a bag that was not the bag I returned! They sent the fake bag back in a different box. On the phone got me nowhere! Customer service was terrible. A different person continued to contact me each time not knowing anything about the situation. I have saved about 40 e mails from them to prove this. They said did you take a photo of the bag ? I said no what for there is nothing that says take a photo and on the phone a representative said true. I couldn’t believe it . Then the seller showed photos of the two different bags. I could see it was not the bag I returned. They are charging me over $5000. They sent the fake bag back to me charging me twice to do that. I suggest you must video returns at the counter where you return it open and seal it in front of the clerk. Video the entire thing . I tried to work it out even after this answer from them. They know exactly what happened and did not take accountability for their seller!!!! Do not use them. They should have returned the money . I now need to take them to court! Kimberly Bacardi

I ordered a table from 1st Dibs and the seller did not ship the table on the timeline provided and stopped replying to communication. 1st Dibs helped me sort out the problem, reached out to the seller and was willing to help with a refund if the item did not arrive as promised.

The Seller was Dandelion in the UK. Communicating with them was very simple and quick. The expensive jewelry item arrived at my home in the US sooner than expected and in perfect condition. I could not be more pleased!

Beware!!!! Beware!!!! Beware!!!! Terrible site for sellers! Only fraudsters sending emails with attempted fraud. Support and company do nothing to stop/filter the scams. Only the same standard answers every time that don't really answer our questions. Once you are captured by 1stdibs they don't care about you. No response from the person at 1Stdibs who signed us up, before we joined he bombarded us with emails about the site's excellence and good reputation. Damn we regret joining! This is not how we as serious entrepreneurs want to work. A shame to drag companies into *, charge and then not care!

I am deeply disappointed with my recent experience on the 1stdibs platform. As a seller, I have been scammed by a hacker who managed to phish through the platform, leading to a debit of €490 from my account. I strictly followed all messages and procedures within the 1stDibs environment and never ventured outside their branded tools or requests. This clearly indicates that the platform has been compromised. I have screenshots to prove that I remained within the confines of the platform and adhered to the prescribed processes. The fact that 1stDibs is not acknowledging this fraud is unacceptable. This is not SPAM; this is a legitimate complaint about a serious security breach. The fraud I encountered involved a hacker impersonating a 1stDibs' support team member to scam seller using the internal inbox, which is a textbook example of phishing. This type of attack exploits users' trust to steal sensitive information or money, and it is precisely what happened to me. I was a victim of targeted fraud where attackers specifically targeted users of 1stDibs platform to obtain confidential information such as login credentials, personal data, and financial information. It is 1stDibs' responsibility to monitor and secure their platform to prevent such incidents. As an online service provider, they have a duty to ensure a safe and secure environment for all users (buyers and sellers). It is crucial to take this matter seriously and address the security vulnerabilities on the platform to prevent further incidents. I hope for a swift resolution and appropriate measures to ensure this does not happen to anyone else.

All of these reviews that have the title the same as the first line of the review are most likely AI bots or people being paid to give good reviews. There are over seas companies that do this all the time. You will find the same names in many reviews. Names like General or Gay Lee (a food company in North America the ai bot chose to use)

If I could leave zero stars I would. I am actually pursuing complaints with all of their regulatory agencies and also filing proper reports with agencies that have jurisdiction over this trash and fraudulent and lying upon lying company. I have never seen worse customer service in my lifetime but it is basically fraud. I would like them to try and take this review down b/c I have absolute proof of it and the only defense to a comment like this is the truth and I am telling the truth. I have plenty of evidence of it. I had one company sell me an Hermes bracelet that was a fake and I returned it. I bought two earrings from a company (trash) that they do business with and took the side of in spite of the massive amount of evidence I had about this despicable company *(VR Jewels) repetitive LIES. Yes I am an attorney and yes I will pursue every avenue I have at my disposal to make sure this company does not defraud, lie, deflect and stall. I started my complaint process in JANUARY it is JUNE and nothing but taking this ridiculous company who others have written badly about here's side. Also go look at their trustpilot *(VR Jewels). Most reviews are bad except the ones they paid for all posted on the same day. Deepa was my "customer service" person. Please if you get her, ask for someone else. She is slow, ineffective, has zero information for you, stalls and basically knows nothing about anything in your process of questioning about all of the lies about the jewelry they sold me. VR Jewels started harrassing me on my private channels, email, text, whatsapp, most unprofessional thing I've ever seen in online shopping. VR Jewels sent me fake GIA numbers *(with no certificate) for tiny pin point diamonds. My jeweler in the US first of all said NO ONE has GIA numbers for such tiny diamonds and if they do, they have certificates, not just some "gemologist" from India's made up numbers. Total Garbage JOKE. Stay away. Far more reputable sellers our there. You don't need to waste time and money here. EDITED TO INCLUDE (FROM GIA): GIA certification typically doesn't apply to small diamonds, usually less than 0.25 carats, because the cost to certify them is a larger proportion of the diamond's overall value. However, some say that GIA Labs may certify diamonds as small as 0.15 carats. They have not sent me certificates and I looked up the "GIA Numbers" their "Gemologist" certified in India and they do not exist. THEY ARE LIARS. FLAT OUT LIE, BOTH 1ST DIBS AND VR JEWELS HAVE BOTH REPEATED THIS LIE AND SENT OVER FRAUDULENT NUMBERS. FRAUD IS A CRIMINAL ACT. Edited to Add: AI Overview Learn more … Yes, fraud is a criminal offense in the United States. It is defined as intentional deception for personal gain or to harm another person. Fraudulent activities can include: False statements, Misrepresentations of facts, and Other deceitful conduct. Because these jewels are allegedly valued at the amount they say, it is a federal crime. This place is disgusting and transferred over state lines, federal.

Worst buying experience of my life. Seller promised to crate the very delicate purchase, an antique ceramic plant stand and pot. It came instead in cardboard boxes, no bubble wrap around the edges and in a second box only an inch larger than the first and filled in with rigid plastic foam panels. Of course it was broken. Reported the resulting damage to the pot immediately, March 29th, including photos, and was assured their customer service team would handle it. After 2 weeks with no response and unable to reach anyone I filed a fraud complaint with my credit card company; they called 15 minutes later to tell me it was being reviewed by their customer service team. Ivori began sending emails buried in over 30 blank pages one had to scroll through to find it. Despite telling her repeatedly to fix this, it continued every time she sent anything. I said I might consider an offer of partial credit if it would be enough to restore the object; instead she told the seller I would accept $1200, a number she never mentioned to me, and which I never agreed to. When I finally requested a full refund it still took another 2 months to get any response--one message a week, countless calls to their customer service number--which does NOT provide access to the agent, all they can do is "flag" the complaint--which does nothing. Finally Ivori said she had the return labels for me, but again in a 30-blank-page email, and no attachments, no labels. Finally I persuaded the customer service phone contact Nawaf to send me the label in a properly functioning email, and he did it, but there was only 1 label, and, as the piece was shipped to me, it was returning in 2 boxes, and thus needed 2 labels. This took another 2 weeks, and needed the help of someone other than Ivori so they were properly formatted and in a readable email. The item was finally shipped back on May 17th, and I noted it arrived at its destination on May 27th, but since then there still has been no acknowledgment of this until I finally called again today and threatened to resume my fraud claim if I was not immediately compensated. I got confirmation of my refund an hour later. Despite their self-proclaimed prestige sellers and vaunted customer service,no evidence of either. Seller was completely clueless as to basic packing protocols for the very items he sells, and support is nonexistent without threat of legal action. Never, ever again will I even look at this site, and I've removed it from my browser. Should you be fortunate enough to have something delivered safely, you may be OK, but if you have any problem, look out!! And be prepared for a hellish ordeal. Wow, and it only took you 5 months to respond--sounds like your efforts to improve are really taking off! I'm sure everything is all better now...

Estimated delivery date was missed. Had to chase up multiple times (almost daily) with no clear view on when it would be delivered or even updates. I was in direct contact with seller was equally disappointed with 1stDibs service and lack of response. At the point that both sides had given up they came back to suggest it would be standard delivery and a further 6 weeks. Had I known it would have been such a tortorous experience perhaps would have cancelled the order and dealt directly with seller. Such a shame to have such a beautiful site with such poor service. Once item finally received, that will be my last interaction with 1stDibs.

Selling on 1stDibs and they offer little or no support. Once they have your contract and money they don't care. All the inquiries I receieve are spam. This platform is a waste.

Attention Business Owners: Be cautious—the promised support is nonexistent, even in critical situations like dealing with scammers. When you reach out for help or guidance, there's no response. Furthermore, if you decide to terminate your contract, they continue charging your credit card, even beyond the contract's end date.

Excellent seller. The shipment was sent without delay, promptly and arrived on time. The product itself is exactly as the seller declared it and I like it very much. Exclusive packaging testifies to the extraordinary approach of the seller to its products. As a customer, I express my utmost satisfaction. Thanks.
