I used a well known CV writing company about 5 years ago which was a one star experience through and through. I decided to have another go with TopCV and couldn't be more delighted. I had Daniel H as my wordsmith/writer who did a brilliant job, lots of subtle changes and formatting and really quick to respond. I've now reposted with the new CV and I've had lots of great results so I can't fault the service. Great job.

What I asked for and earlier than I thought

Thanks to Irene's contributions, I now feel more confident in presenting my qualifications to prospective employers. I have no doubt that their expertise played a significant role in enhancing my resume and increasing my chances of securing interviews.

Great experience how the company apply the AI and incorporate expereinecies, outcomes into the newly written CV.

A quick email was received on 30/01/2024, however, the assessment looks very generic and incorrect; lots of the statements are wrong or inaccurate, so I thought that they have reviewed someone else's CV but not mine. Very basic examples: 1. In my CV in several areas, I indicated that my experience is 22 years, I mentioned this on the summary, and I detailed my work experience from year 1 to 22 in the work experience section. However, the assessment insisted on indicating 16 years of experience. 2. The review has referred to "Khalifa Stadium" as one of my employers, which is surprising as I did never mention in my CV that I had an employer called Khalifa Stadium, and my employers are clearly mentioned in bold font with the dates of employment. 3. It shows contact info as Not Found which is surprising. 4. Most recent education as not found, while I am clearly stating a PhD with the date of graduation. And many other basic mistakes. So, I do believe that the free service is just useless. Maybe the paid service is different, and I received a poor report because I had the free service, so I got what I paid for. Amir Yousif

Understanding the needs and expectations

I have been waiting for customer services to help since 7 December 2023 - I have contacted them weekly for help. My cv was so badly re-written I could not use it. I paid £219 for a premium service, the service was slow the draft cv was atrocious and took me so long to sort out the errors - I had to re-write the whole thing myself. I delayed applying for roles because I had paid TopCV to rewrite my cv. I used them based on recommendations from others but unfortunately it did not look like a human wrote my cv, I think it was done by AI which did a terrible job. Edit: I have emailed TopCV again today and I have been emailing since 7 December 2023 Edit: They did not sort out the issues nor refund for the appalling cv they wrote for me. Stay clear of them

Fast and professional service. Assisted me with vital updates to my resume and cover letter that helped me align with AI evaluations and eliminate my "doer" emphasis and focus on accomplishments. The LinkedIn update was of particular value, as I was underutilizing the use of my profile in my search.

I sincerely love how the error in the CV was listed out not harsh but well pointed out, Seems like sandwich approach.

Very professional and fast service

This is absolutely a scam. Do not fall for their claims. I signed up after having a review on Reed.co.uk which told me my cv was lacking in areas. Despite the large amount of money charged I decided to try them, thinking that the association with a reputable company meant that they would at least be able to meet the claims made on their website. However I was wrong. The document I recieved was one of the worst examples of a CV I've ever seen. There were: Spelling errors Grammatical errors Randomly switching tenses An incredibly generic template opening paragraph that did not relate to my experience and made several claims about me. The worst design I have ever seen for a professional document with inconsistent text justification, overlapping paragraphs and clashing font choices making it almost unreadable. I immediately raised this, requesting a cancellation due to them not living up to a single claim made on sign up and despite claiming to answer all messages in 24 hours I waited over 48 hours for a response. Eventually I spoke to several members of the support team, who seemed unaware of each other, and after being told a different writer would be able to actually do what was claimed, and several back and forth emails my request for a refund was acknowledged. 3 days later, conveniently just after the 7 day review period had expired, I was offered either 30% refund or just go with another writer. So now I'm torn between giving them 70% for the stress of having to chase them or pay for a document that would look and read less professional than one made myself in word. They are preying on people low on cash and desperate for work. Avoid them and tell anyone you know looking for work to do the same. Update: 01/02/2024 Thanks for getting back to me though I've already spoken to your help team as I mentioned in the review. That's how I got the choice between a 30% refund or pay full price for another try. Neither of these are acceptable and if you can't identify me from these details it sounds as if these issues are very common and only reenforces the idea that this is a scam I'm afraid. Update: 07/02/2024 I didn't update after the last reply as it was the exact same message as before demonstrating a company that cares so little about its customers it's happy leaving it to a bot to deal with issues. I was in contact with the Helpdesk email at the time who ended up offering me a 70% refund but after providing no actual service they were effectively charging me 30% for the inconvenience of dealing with them. Another sure sign that this is not an actual service but a way to sucker money out of people in need. That was 5 days ago, I replied immediately and I have had no contact from them at all since then despite following up by email, in site message and their online help bot. Just the absolute worst examples of both a product and customer service. Avoid this company at all costs. They will scam you out of your money and leave you weeks later with nothing to show. Also if the next reply also reads "Hi, We regret any issues that occurred with your project and would love the opportunity to fix it for you. We cannot access your information via this post, but if you could email us at ... we will provide you with document revisions that align with your career goals. We hope to hear from you soon. " you will know for sure they don't even care enough to get a decent bot to deal with your complaints. Update: 09/02/2024 Its been a week and not even so much as an acknowledgement of my email. It would appear that both the claims made to take your money and the claims made on all their reviews about providing support are both lies. I will update when I get a a reply or every few days until I do just so this stays at the top of the page and people can be warned about their shady practices.

Absolute scam. Robots, ChatGBT or ESL. Avoid at all costs.

The website was clear and concise, easy to use. The expert assigned to write my cv was professional and knowledgeable. The entire process was swift. I am very happy with result.

Turnaround time was quick. Writer was very helpful in answering all the questions and made sure I'm fully satisfied with the outcome. Final content was great matching my profile and target role.

Paid for a CV and cover letter. Not only was the CV generic and not related to the roles I am applying for, but I am yet to even make it through the internal systems at organisations I am applying at. The cover letter seems to have been run through ChatGPT, and when I asked for an improved letter I got the exact same letter again. I would prefer to get a refund for their services, it simply is not good enough.

I am super excited seeing the final reviews of my resume & LinkedIn profile the best of my years of experience and who I really am were professional presented a real masterpiece. In all modesty TopCV are what they say they are Professionals.

TopCV is awesome in helping us "sell" better our professional experience. It is worth the investment.

Not going to lie but My CV writer did an excellent job in crafting the perfect resume. The choice of words used in my resume looks way more professional and effective. Recommend. 10/10
