I was miss-sold TopCV and encourage everyone considering the service to Google, 'TopCV is a scam'. I had a well written CV anyway, but was lured in by their promise to improve it's success rate with ATS systems within a specific industry. I also trusted their offer, since I came across it on The Guradian Jobs website. What they returned was laughable and the refund they agreed to pay me is yet to transpire weeks later... Here's a portion of one of their replies to one of the emails I was forced to send, questioning their integrity: '...since our system is a generalist ATS, you may find that the industry classifications are a little different from what you expected. Rest assured that our ATS is only one of many, so when you apply to jobs in your field, those companies will have specialized systems to ensure that they can properly identify and sort qualified job seekers like you. Our ATS determines your management score from your job titles so it is rare for this to change after a rewrite because your job titles won’t have changed...' If I could score them a 'zero', I would.

Bottom line: If you have a CV that needs to be rewritten do it yourself or use a cheap/free AI to do so. The quality and cost will be markedly better than this company and you will avoid needless frustration. **I have since read reviews on reddit and REVIEWS.io all with very similar experiences BEWARE OF THIS SCAM** Wish I could give this a negative 1 star. I would advise anyone who will listen not to buy this overpriced, poor-quality product with terrible customer service. I purchased the Premium package. Immediately they are not upfront that it will take awhile to even have a draft of your new CV. I purchased an additional add-on to have the first draft completed in 48 hours. 5 days later I was sent my first draft, with neither an apology nor an acknowledgment of its delay. And the terrible customer service continued from there. The draft I received was possibly one of the worst things I had ever read. From the formatting to the word choice and organization, this draft was awful. It seems it was made by someone totally incompetent. I would say it was made by AI given how strange the formatting and wording was, but I have since used a cheap AI program which provided a much better result. They waste your time by having you fill out a detailed questionnaire prior to generating your draft which they promptly ignore. I ultimately had to rewrite and format my entire CV myself since their product was unusable. They offer to have you "work with their CV writing professional" to rewrite the draft, but honestly, once you see the quality of what they turn out, it is a waste of time. If you have a CV that needs to be rewritten you are far better doing it yourself, you will save your money, time, and own frustration by doing so. I circulated the CV draft they gave me around my office and the unanimous verdict is that it was an unusable and unacceptable CV for my professional setting. Now what makes this a true 1-star review is the customer service. They are somewhat responsive but it took MONTHS to even have a partial refund offered after receiving not only an unacceptable product, but also one that was given to me in 5 days after paying for a 48-hour rush processing add-on. Ultimately, TopCV cares more about making money than they do about the customer, something they admitted to me in an email.

My experience was very good and met my expectations with the support and help that you gave me. It was faster than I expected, and the communication worked perfectly. You did it spectacularly and put me in competition with a CV and cover letter more than adequate for the market.
