I have purchased 5 Alligator choppers (three stainless steel and two plastic) over the past ten or so years. I still have two stainless steel units (one was stolen and the plastic ones were gifts to others). I use my Alligators constantly for lots of kitchen chores; onions, just about any vegetable, potatoes for fries, and dice. My favorite use is for canning. I make pickle relishes, pressure-can beet root, and other assorted vegetables. Using the Alligator for relishes saves so much time and the final product has just perfect little dices. The Alligator is my very, very favorite kitchen tool. I also own two Alligator grater/fine julienne tools and a slicer. All of them are top quality and stay sharp. I just LOVE Alligator products.

A great bit of kit. It's only been used this for chopping onions, half an onion at a time. It's easy and, because it is enclosed until tipping the bits out, hardly any smell to make ones eyes water. Some care is needed to ensure that all the bits are cleaned off the chopper grid.

Sharp blades but gets stuck when pushing down on the vegetables. Not as sturdy as expected.

Was a christmas gift for my wife. It requires too much strength to cut vegetables for her. We could not return because 30 day return policy did not allow extra time for Christmas gifts.
