A reasonably good company to work with. They explain everything in great detail (to the point of overexplaining sometimes) and there is lots of support throughout the process. I was very wary of going with this company as there have been lots of negative reviews, but the reviews gave me a lot of things to look out for. Here they are: 1. Their pricing; the only reason I went with them is that they reduced their price by about 50% to be comparable to other companies, and gave me 6 months interest free credit, so do make sure you get at least two other quotes for comparable equipment. Don't believe the hype about their product being superior to others, it's not worth paying many thousands extra for. 2. Their contracts aren't the best, so make sure you read and understand them and pick them up on any inconsistencies, as there will be some. 3. If you don't understand something, ask them to explain it until you do as there's a lot of info and they do speak quickly sometimes. 4. When you do have it installed don't expect to get 100% of the potential power output - the max I've had so far has been about 74% when the panels are in direct sunlight, which is okay, but not as good as expected even though I've been told everything is working as it should. I will say that there is some output even in dull conditions and we've been about 99% self-sufficient (there's always a little bit of draw from the grid for the inverters) which I would expect in the Summer months. The install team were excellent as have been the scaffolders so far (it's still up which I was told about, but hopefully not for long) and I've been in touch with the aftersales team a couple of times and it's been easy to get through and they have been helpful.

From start to finish very impressed from bailey on the initial visit to matt and the instalation team and scaffolders nothing was to much trouble for them and were helpful before during and after instalation really happy I chose project solar

Right from the start Project Solar were first rate. We had an initial consultation with Adam Knight who was very knowledgable about all aspects regarding Solar Panels. He helped us to get things started and things started to move very quickly. The scaffolders turned up on the following Sunday (a day early) then on Tuesday the installation engineers turned up about 8.00am one team delivered all the solar panels while the next team started installing it all. Everything was completed by mid-afternoon and the lads cleared up everything and left. Half an hour later Adam turned up to make sure everything was ok, gave us a few tips on how to get the best from our system which we appreciated. We then had a phone call about 6.00pm and the scaffolders came back on the Wednesday and removed all the scaffolding from site. We couldn't have asked for a better service, it really was a 5 star service.

Don’t do it, despite what it may seem with their clever marketing and referral schemes. The tech is grossly overpriced for what you’re getting if you research it properly. They are also deliberately vague in the consulting stage about important aspects of the kit, installation and don’t tell you about some of it until after you commit. It seems like a scheme to get you signed up to a bad long term finance deal (which is probably where they make most their money via commission) rather than making sure you get a good deal. Do lots of research before committing! Much better company’s out there that will really take the time to make sure your getting the best deal and appropriate kit for your needs. Be careful please

Brilliant service system working great

I have received 5 solar quotes to date and have never been so patronised or had my time wasted by their sales person!! After 90mins I still didn’t have a quote for solar (they were more interested in next doors panels on their roof than mine) and wouldn’t quote because my wife wasn’t present. I informed them I had done my research and wanted a quote as they were one of the top rated companies, in which I had even had looked at there products online to try and speed up the process. However this did not speed up anything and they proceeded to try and sell me why solar was so good - I already know this hence why I want a quote and I told your sales person this too 🤦🏼‍♂️ In a nutshell this was a complete waste of time which other companies had warned me about and unless you are over 50 the sales persons probably couldn’t care less what I said as everything was related to people getting ready to retire in his sales pitch how how it’s helped them evolve… I have never been as patronised like this during a quote and had my age discriminated (I’m in my 30’s) over all poor performance. I have been asked to verify this feedback so have now discussed this with project solar on the phone but no one has responded or called me back as I was informed on the phone… called on friday 02/08/24 @ 1348

I can say the whole process was great my only slight comment is the office staff needs to co-ordinate better I was bombarded with lots of calls asking the same question over and over again. Now I can’t even register the item different info from my provider of choice and pro Solar. Probably need a degree to complete. Records needs to be updated more regularly

My experience during the whole process of getting my Solar panels installed was of a professional company, with efficient and knowledgeable staff. Their sales representative Sam was personable and very capable keeping in touch through out the whole process. The scaffolding and installation teams linked well and despite an unforeseen problem which delayed things for a week everything was kept on track. All certificates and guarentes have been received promptly and what ever contact I had I was impressed by their helpfulness and efficiency. You also have the assurance of knowing that an independent company are authenticating the contract as it progresses. . Overall, very satisfied with my dealings with Solar Project UK, particularly their communication with their customer on all aspects of progress.

Easy switch now saving money and doing a great thing for the planet. After 36 years in NHS procurement I know all about value for money and life time costs and this system achieves all of that and clean efficient insulation left us feeling warm inside re our experience thank you

Very clear explanation of the system, how it works and what to expect. Installed within a week of signing contract and all certifications received. Panels have a lifetime warranty which is a key element that sets Project Solar apart from other suppliers. Highly recommend.

I had been researching solar panels as an option to reduce my electricity costs. I contacted Project Solar UK and very quickly had someone call me to arrange a meeting to discuss this. There was no pressure selling and I had time to think about it, ask questions and conduct more research before making a commitment. The work was carried out on time. The workmen were courteous and cleaned up very well after they'd completed the job.

From the first meeting to the after installation call they were very easy to deal with. Answered all questions I had and also took all my considerations into hand when installing scafoolding or wiring up the panels. Would 100% recommend!

The fitters arrived when they said they would. They were friendly, polite and courteous at all times. They cleaned up after themselves and explained every thing to us in plain english so we could understand what they had done and how things worked.

Overall from Start to finish the company Project Solar UK have provided an excellent service from the sales person Bailey and his constant overseeing of the project and back up support and the office team members quick to reply to any queries and often calling to check up at each stage of fitting. The local scaffolding team were also excellent and considerate and tidy and efficient in arranging a time to erect scaffolding to removing it all quickly as were the solar panel fitters . There is alot of paperwork via emails which is good as a lot of it is compliance and also warranty’s and guarantees for everything installed which reflects the prices but you pay for what you get. The change of tariff with local electricity company was relatively quick just under 2 weeks after installation and easy to arrange , but sales can also help with this if required and already saving on the consumption in a big way mainly due to the weeks of sunshine weather we have enjoyed, although the panels only require daylight .Overall excellent sales advice and technical information to suit a budget with a type and position of roof space with finance options available , and follow ups with a relatively quick installation,professional and responsive. I would recommend them for sure. Reduce electricity bills today.
