I don’t normally write reviews but after the most amazing 10 day family holiday in Tanzania I felt compelled to do so. This trip was booked with Travel Nation as holiday of a lifetime before our girls start out on their careers and it didn’t fail to disappoint. It’s certainty not a cheap holiday but well worth every single penny. It was a first class experience from beginning to end. Our private guide for the week, Fred, was delightful, highly experienced, informative, entertaining, spotted the wildlife before anyone else, tailored the trip to meet all our needs and nothing was ever too much trouble. Unlike many of the other travel companies we looked at, all the luxury lodges we stayed in catered for small groups. Each had their own personality, the wow factor and made us feel very special indeed. The Tanzanian people were incredibly welcoming, the service was seamless, the food endless and very good and the overall experience was something we’ll never forget. We saw far more wildlife than we ever expected, herds of elephants crossing the road in front of us, 16 lions feasting on the latest kill and the very noisy wilderbeast migration crossing the Mara River!! Travel Nation were very informative and had had first hand experience of all the places we were visiting. When we missed our connection home due to a burst tyre the team at Travel Nation went above and beyond our expectations to ensure that everything was taken care of. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company. Huge thank you to all at Travel Nation especially Grainne, Jonny, Scott and Jim for everything you did for us and we’ll be in touch very soon to book the next trip. Jim and the travel nation team were an incredible help with booking my flights. I had 7 flights in total over a 6 month period which they helped find the cheapest options for. I received regular updates when my flight times changed with advice attached and a detailed itinerary and document to help explain all the requirements and procedures for each country I went to. They were always quick to respond and found myself and my partner a great deal on all of our flights. 100% would recommend.

Olly was nothing short of fantastic in helping to plan and execute our dream trip around french polynesia. He worked with us to find out what was important to us and suggested some islands we wouldn't have thought of, and they turned out to be incredible. The whole experience of being able to log onto the travel nation portal to view the trip and itinerary was great to really work through the finer details. Once in French Polynesia the arrangements couldn't have been smoother, someone was waiting at every airport and all transfers and excursions were without issue. We 100% will book with Olly and travel nation again and have already recommended to friends planning big trips!

I spent ages looking around for someone to help plan my Honeymoon to French Polynesia. After many unrealistic quotes I finally came across Travel Nation in Brighton. It was perfect for me as I work in Hove and I was delighted to find someone that was local. I was immediately put in touch with Olly who was incredible right from the start. I told him what I wanted from the holiday and where I wanted to visit and he came up with the perfect itinerary that was even below our budget. We have never been ones to stay in 5* hotels (although I`m sure you could if you want), and the places we stayed couldnt have been more like us. We booked about 13 months before the trip, it was seamless and so easy to do. Olly sent me the itinerary to look through before we committed and it was just perfect for us, like he knew us personally when booking everything. We have recently just returned and I could not fault anything at all. It was honestly the BEST holiday we have ever been on and perfect in every way. The islands we visited, Moorea, Huahine, Tahaa, Bora Bora and Tahiti were all amazing in their own way and the excursions that were booked for us by Olly were just incredibly perfect. I know I am going on about how perfect it was, but I could not praise this company enough. From the communication to the flights, accommodation, food, people and destinations were just so PERFECT. Thank you Olly for creating our dream honeymoon and making our dreams of visiting French Polynesia come true.

Just back from an amazing retirement trip organised by Jim😁👍. Only contacted Travel Nation late February to put together an itinerary for us. The itinerary and flights worked great and Jim's suggestions of hotels were spot on. We had 6nts in Vancouver/Vancouver Island the hotels in both locations were perfect for our needs with us knowing it was going to be busy - we had harbour views both times and made sitting having coffee on the balcony so relaxing. We then headed down to French Polynesia with Moorea being our first stop for 3nts - it was all we could have wished for- small friendly hotel Cooks Bay Suites right on the beach with a lovely restaurant ate there twice and breakfast was very adequate for being continental. Next stop for 4nts Bora Bora - Maitai Polynesia maybe a bit more older style but again perfect for our needs good choice for breakfast which fitted in well with the 3 excursions booked. As you land at Bora Bora Airport it just takes your breath away oh to be back🌞😎. Had one night in Tahiti on our return in the Kon Tiki wished we had an extra night room was so modern and lovely. Our last stop was at the Hyatt Regency LA Airport after a discussion with Jim - we enjoyed the pool the morning before our evening departure home. Have already been in discussion with Jim regarding our next adventure. If you have not used Travel Nation before I could not fault the service we received. Thank you again Jim

What a fantastic holiday in Tanzania! This was our first ever safari, and having no previous experience to go on, we were totally dependant on the experts advice. Johnny Goodall from Travel Nation turned out to be the ideal man for the job! He was friendly, efficient, and helpful, and tailored a safari to include all the things he thought we might like, and then organised everything perfectly from start to finish. Every little detail was covered, and the whole holiday went smoothly, without a hitch, from start to finish. What an amazing experience, and what an excellent travel company! I have just returned from a six month trip of a lifetime around the world. Jim at Travel Nation was unbelievably helpful both in the long months of planning my trip and during my time away as I made last minute changes to my plans as I travelled. He always found great deals on flights and came up with excellent suggestions for hotels and adventure tour companies ( my two Intrepid trips in Africa and Costa Rica were amazing!!) The Galápagos Islands are a world within themselves. The landscapes and above all the animals are scarcely believable. So tame and so completely different to anywhere else. A nature lovers paradise. The Archipel-1 was a fantastic boat. The staff were friendly and the food fantastic. Our guide was fantastic too. 14 other guests allows a full itinerary of exploration and twice daily snorkling. We highly recommend the Western islands tour… but there is so much to see we need to go back again! A land base on Santa Cruz and San Christobal allowed more extensive trips and relaxation. The hotels we stayed at were mid range - comfortable but not luxurious. Perfect for us. We’d highly recommend the tours to Bartolome and Kicker Rock and the cycling tour on San Christobal. With more time Española and its albatrosses or Floreana would have been interesting options too. If you scuba dive, there are even more ideas! It’s an indirect route to get there. It would be nice to explore more of Ecuador if time and circumstances allowed. We went via Bogotá but via Spain with Iberia might also work … maybe better.

Once again Chris West at Travel Nation, nailed the brief!! I wanted to take my family to Florida and visit not only the theme parks, but also see the rest of what Florida had to offer. Chris, organised a fly-drive holiday based on our budget. This allowed us to tick all the boxes we wanted as a family, plus visit places we hadn’t really considered. This included superb hotels and activities that we weren’t aware of. Chris, and the team at Travel Nation, really do take the hassle and stress away from planning a multi-location long haul holiday. I fully recommend you try for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.

With just six weeks before I wanted to go away on a three month trip across South East Asia, Fiji and French Polynesia I got in touch with Jim at Travel Nation with my very last minute, very ambitious request. And by the end of the week I had my itinerary with a few stops along the way that I wouldn't even have thought of! Everything from start to finish - the hotels, convenient travel times with minimal stop overs, the transfers to and from ferries and airports - was just fantastic and the app listing out your itinerary day by day was so handy. I would (and have) recommend Travel Nation in a heartbeat. And Jim really did make my dream trip come to life and then some!

Just back from another amazing holiday. Third time we’ve booked using Travelnation and every time has been wonderful. Jim listened to what we wanted and our budget and helped us plan the trips of a lifetime- surprisingly good value too. Have holidayed with and without teenage kids and combined family from different locations and it all worked perfectly. Totally recommend.

We cannot recommend Travel Nation highly enough. Our trip to Tanzania was flawless from start to finish. Our Safari was amazing and all the properties we stayed at were just gorgeous. Our agent Chis was so helpful and any questions were answered virtually immediately. We will use Travel Nation again for any future long haul trips.

We booked our trip to Bora Bora with Travel Nation and the entire experience was excellent. From finding the appropriate destination, flights, resorts etc to the whole experience being there was second to none. David was very accommodating in giving us multiple options and and focusing on our needs. The pricing was significantly better than all the high street travel agents and the options were even more than what other would offer. Overall an excellent experience and we will be definitely going back for our next big trip.

Planning of holiday: This was superb. Chris was very helpful and responsive to our suggestions. Answered emails quickly. Presentation of the holiday plan in the on line format made it easy for us to review Accommodation highlights: Hotel Tupina (Huhaine) - this was delightful. Host was just incredible. Our room was right on the water front - just lovely. Delicious food home cooked. Gift on departure. Had a car on site to rent. Stunning sunsets from the porch watching the land crabs. Very peaceful. Le Fare Miti (Moorea)- room was a little more basic but clean and extremely well positioned as well as having great views of the sunset. Very peaceful but within 20 min walk to local shops and restaurants. Good access to beaches and the water. Raiatea lodge hotel (Raiatea)- fabulous hotel and welcome with drinks and cool towels - very attentive staff who organised excursion to a neighbouring island and car hire (on site). Room had great views over lagoon and sunsets - very pretty to sit on balcony and watch the sunset. Plenty of beds by pool and food was great. Bar shuts very early so quiet at night later on. Mai Tai Bora Bora - gorgeous OTW bungalow with views over lagoon. Great snorkelling just outside! Helpful staff and gift on departure. Room came with a resident fish (Albert) who you could see through the glass bottomed coffee table! Transport Pick ups all spot on - always someone waiting for us to take us to the hotel. Only small thing was that at Bora Bora you have to get the ferry across to the pick up point in Vaitape and we were not really sure which ferry to get on here. This was easily solved for us by a helpful local lady. In terms of main flights from and to the U.K, we had some very long stop overs but actually these went over quicker than we thought and allowed us to be relaxed in case of delays. Flights between islands were great with stunning views thrown in. Sit on the left of the plane when you fly into Bora Bora for the views! All the small island airports were an absolute joy!! Excursions: 4 x 4 on Moorea - an informative host and interesting half day with fabulous views from parts of the island you cannot get to by car. Snorkelling on Bora Bora - despite a very windy day (confidence in the water we thought was a must in these conditions), local guides took us to 4 snorkelling spots to swim with Manta Rays, Sting Rays, Eagle Rays and Sharks. Must be done to see the island from the sea. Day trip to Taha from Raiatea - excellent full day with Manu the local guide - took us to a vanilla farm, a pearl farm as well as to a coral garden and some great snorkelling to see sharks and stingrays. We also had lunch on a lovely small island. Lagoonarium (Moorea) - this is not an organised excursion but a small boat takes you across to a privately owned Motu and the guide takes you back when you want to go. You can spend the whole day if you like (they provide some water, fruit etc). There is a coral garden and we had a very close encounter with stingrays which was very special. There were only about 6 people on the whole island. This is well worth doing. Car hire This is made very easy when the hotels have the cars on site and is cheap compared to other places we have visited. We found we needed a car to fully explore the islands as there is not really public transport or taxis easily available. Overall, a fabulous holiday and intend to use Travel Nation again for next year. We have always booked travel independently up until now but this experience has been so much easier!

Travel nation provided an absolutely fantastic service from start to finish. The rep who was managing my booking always responded to my messages quickly, and was really flexible with adapting the intinary of the trip to meet our family’s demands. The trip was really incredible, travel nation provided a first class service with regards to the quality of hotels and tours included. Would 100% recommend their services, can’t fault them.

I spoke to Olly to price up a RTW trip for myself and my family. He listened intently to our wish list of countries to visit and was knowledgeable enough to point out a tweak that would save us money by connecting through a different country. Olly quickly set about pricing the trip including flights, car hire, accommodation and trips. Within a day he had a quote e mailed across. Any amendments we requested were quickly added and cost adjusted accordingly. The viewing of the itinerary online enabled us to view it easily and also print it in pdf format. All in all Olly was fab to deal with.

From start to finish, Travel Nation provided a high quality service with a personal touch. We were lucky to have Tracey as our travel consultant, and after one 30 minute zoom call of getting to know us, Tracey prepared two exceptional honeymoon proposals to choose from, where she was able to tailor them to exactly what we wanted. We ended up going for South Africa followed by Mauritius, and Tracey was very knowledgable on both locations. Not only that, but the communication and help in answering any of our questions leading up to the holiday made the whole thing completely stress free. This was amazing for us as we were in the process of planning our wedding at the time. Travel Nation also provide a portal for all the information and documents, as well as an App with all the details and this proved very useful. Everything was considered and planned carefully, including transfers and timings to make the journeys as pleasant as possible. While we were away, we wanted to extend our holiday in Mauritius by a couple of days and Tracey responded quickly and sorted this out for us without any hassle. We can’t thank Tracey enough and if you are thinking of booking a stress free honeymoon or any other big holiday, we would highly recommend Travel Nation. Thank you!
