This was my first time getting a local e-sim while travelling and found it very easy to purchase online prior to arriving and easy to immediately activate as soon as I landed in Vietnam, excellent coverage across all of Vietnam. Really great value for money.

I got an instruction mail upon purchase of the esim. Followed it and activated it upon landing in Vietnam. It worked mostly well throughout my trip. Only thing is that all the esim related updates and communication was in Vietnamese and I had a hard time translating it. Especially if I had exhausted the data limits for the day and so on. There should be an option to get these SMS in English as well for international travellers.

The instruction was very detailed with some images, and it made me feel easy even though I ended up not having to do all the steps explained.

The company advertises a package for Vietnam called “GIGA120 - Vietnam eSIM 120GB for 30 days with FREE calls“ However the free calls are to only telco providers. They mention this in the details however the title is totally misleading. Which I call it pseudo scamming. You can buy a better package from Viettel for half of their prices.

The service is good. Mind, that the offered eSim comes with LTE only. 5G is not supported. However, it works fine. I bought a 30 day eSIM. Unfortunately, the Free Call offer is a trap. You should carefully read the conditions. Free calls are only provided in the intel network. Nobody in Vietnam uses that. So if you need to call anyone here you might be completely lost. And trying to top up the eSIM is a completely mess. Anyway the WhatsApp Customer Service will even help you with that.So if you need a SIM for calling too , then better avoid this service and buy tourist SIM at the airport. Even if it’s a little more expensive, at least you can make some calls which is really important here in Vietnam.

Easy to configure on my iPhone. Simple to use and very reasonable tariffing. Will definintely use when travelling in Vietnam again.

Our family used 3 eSims for our 12 day holiday. It made travelling around, booking taxis and hotels so much easier and I will now always use an esim when travelling. Using a local Vietnam eSim was also much better value (plus better reception) than the global resellers. Easy to install (makes sure you read the email PDF) and we had no service issues. So much convenience for 10USD!
