Horrific experience renting with this company in Glasgow. We were left without a working smoke alarm, and several outstanding repairs, including no lighting upstairs for months. This company said they have done their bit by flagging repairs to the landlord but not ensuring anything ever gets fixed... dangerous and incompetent! ***edit I have contacted your mailbox several times and you have rejected my complaint, so please don't make these offers. You are incompetent and represent shoddy landlords. Five star reviews are clearly fake or people just trying to desperately rent properties!

We recently viewed a property with Caitlin, a property manager based in the Edinburgh lettings office. We are relocating urgently back to Scotland from the south of England and Caitlin has been so helpful from the initial booking through the tenancy application process - very open and friendly, checking in with progress, quickly and thoroughly providing us will all the necessary info and keeping us completely up to date - helping to make a big move a lot less stressful. It’s been almost 2 months I left the property, and there was no mentioning of my refund for paying extra on house rent until I reached out, by the time I got paid, it was half, throughout my tenancy, they hardly respond and it took them 2 months to fix my washing machine, what I met in the property as spoilt, they are billing me to fix it after I left, I don’t have an explanation on why my refund is been halved and they have hidden charges that would be levied against you once you leave

I have rented my property with DJ Alexander for several years and they have provided exemplary service. When tenants move out they are highly efficient at securing new tenants and ensuring the property is up to an excellent standard. In particular Amy Vass and Nathan Eastwood have been brilliant in ensuring this is a smooth and seamless process.

Please proceed with caution if you reside in Aberdeen and are looking for private accommodation through DJ Alexander. Don't hesitate to say goodbye to the private accommodation they've offered you. I started leasing the private flat in August 2023, and the contract expires in January 2024. They respond so slowly to complaints that I have to wait 1 to 2 weeks for their response. Also, my deposit has not been returned after nearly two months. I clean the flat (have video of it), and they charge me £230.4 after I queried why they haven't returned my deposit after two months. They are extremely sluggish to reply to complaints yet very quick to collect money from tenants. When using them as an agent, you must take certain factors into consideration.
