DJ Alexander provides an easier way to book and manage the viewings in one go rather than looking through other rental websites. We found our property (we had imagined) based on the same and our property manager Kieran Mooney is a star. He clarified all our queries and provided additional information related to the property which helped us to make a decision on renting it. Overall it was a nice experience from property search to lease agreement. Highly recommended.

John Sturgeon, our property manager, has been incredibly helpful and considerate during and after our move. He has gone out of his way to accommodate for and resolve any issues that have come up professionally and kindly. Very happy with our experience so far.

We have had a few maintenance issues over the past few months with a property which we let out and Norman MacLean has been extremely helpful in ensuring those issues are attended to in a timely manner. He is very good at communicating and also very responsive to all queries and at all times is very professional. He is definitely someone I feel I can rely on to ensure my property is maintained to an appropriate standard.

Lauren Brown was friendly and courtesy when doing her inspection. Listened to my thoughts and assured me she would pass on my remarks.

DJA do not provide a property management service to landlords. They are not proactive, the service in both Aberdeen and Edinburgh is severely lacking control and understanding. It is no more than a postbox service expecting landlords to fill the gaps and pay!

Amy was always very helpful and where necessary always returned my calls/emails promptly.

We were selling a property and the team at DJ Alexander (Sarah and Abby) were helpful from the outset. We live over 400 miles from Edinburgh and everything was done remotely - and it worked really well. The team advised us on what needed doing and organised everything that was required on our behalf - and kept us informed throughout. They helped take some of the stress and worry out of selling and, for that, we're extremely grateful. Thank you Sarah and Abby.

Avoid at all cost If you are a landord or a tenant in Aberdeen. They cant provide even the lowest level of service you would expect from a leasing agent. I’ve been with DJ Alexander (formerly stonehouse) for 14 months after my previous leasing agent sold their business to DJ Alexander. In those 14 months I have had constant grief and stress. I have had to write countless emails, make numerous phone calls, chasing up all sorts of problems I never had before with my previous leasing agent. Their inability to provide a proper service has cost me a small fortune, well over £1000 , through lack of experience and poor judgement. To make matters worse the staff turnover at DJ Alexander is incredible. In the 14 months i have been dealing with DJ alexander I must have had 7 or 8 property agents. That’s a ratio of a new agent every 2 months. I have to constantly go over and over simple things, constantly chasing them up, only to get excuses, or passed down the line. It must be an awful place to work. I know it’s an awful company to deal with. My previous tenants hated them. At first i thought they were being dramatic but now i can see why. All they care about is lining their pockets. Knowing what i know now i would not let this company look after my property even if they were to do it for free.

Following end of tenancy inspection, there were a number of major repairs and maintenance that needed taken care of. As I live 250 miles from the property, I left it to Sophie B. in property management team to coordinate and organise the repairs. She was extremely helpful, always prompt in her correspondences, very proactive and never hesitated, when asked, to help me with decisions in choosing materials, etc. She gave sound advice on property improvement with the right balance between spending Vs investment benefits. Overall excellent service.

DO NOT use as a landlord. I’ve had quite possibly the worst experience as a landlord when my property was transferred from The care of Getaghty-Gibb agents in summer 2023. They are impossible to get hold of, charge hidden fees, and don’t actually do anything to ‘manage’ the property at all. They will go ahead with work youve not signed off on and won’t bother to get quotes from different tradesmen to do simple tasks. They are clearly only interested in profits and completely disinterested in making sure managed properties are fit for purpose/marketable for prospective tenants.

We rented an apartment via DJ Alexander as property manager for two years. During our tenancy I wasn't too impressed with little regular contact and some maintenance issues not attended to. However the check-out experience managed by Alison McInnes went very smoothly and I have to credit her efficiency and the way they handled the whole process of move out, checking inventory, meters, keys, deposit etc

Everything was super easy and very quick. People are very kind and helpful
