Very efficient service

This was my first time using clear it. I had a large order coming in from the US to Canada. The seller asked me who my customs broker was, I had no idea I even needed one. So I scrambled at the last minute and searched the web. Clear it seemed simple. I signed up and my order arrived with no issues. The fee seemed hefty but I had such a large order it was literally a heavy pallet full of box’s. No idea if it would have cost more or less going with a different broker. It made it here with no issues so I will recommend clear it. They are fast and efficient and simple to use.

Tyler worked hard to process the transaction in a quick manner, despite the fact that I was late (my fault) providing him with the information on a tight deadline. I was importing a roof rack for my vehicle for personal use. The rack is made in the US. Clearit asks you to put your visa on file to help get the paperwork faster. Once the bill was paid, I received the invoice, and I was charged duty. After doing some research, I found if I had a CUSMA form, I wouldn't have paid the duty. All I got back from Clearit was to send the form, and Cleait will reimburse you for the duty. I'm not a broker and did not know about the CUSMA form; I feel I should have been asked if I had the CUSMA form or helped fill one out. We pay way too much tax, and any help would have been good customer service.

The process of using Clearit was very positive, simple and easy to use. In fact, I plan on using them again very soon. Only one issue....When the items arrived, they were not mine, but belonged to a person in the USA. So, I paid the taxes and duty for my shipment that never actually arrived. How would you explain to the CBSA that the declared items weren't actually what was in the box ? I'm now still waiting for a replacement item, in which I will have to pay taxes and duty a second time, as well as the Clearit fee...No fault of Clearit that the shipment was messed up, but it seems unfair.

I am so happy I decided to do a Google search and see if I could clear my customs fees another way rather than using the forwarder I had. I saved some money and I just had to upload a few documents and my items were cleared in minutes! I would recommend and use again. Thank you.
