I have recently moved home (Exmouth) and was keen on getting a quote for shutter blinds for my three bedroom windows. I was initially going to get 3 quotes. I had a lovely lady called Alison from Hillarys blinds (MELIA advisor 117577) come out to measure up and give me a quote. Alison went through all the options, showing me an AI of each window so I could see what they would look once installed. I honestly never felt pressured into a purchase. We have a very large oversized window in our living room (with a sea view), I was never ever intending to get blinds for this window, but happened to ask Alison about a quote for this said space. Her response was advising me against it as we have a spectacular view that in her personal opinion she wouldn’t cover! This honestly made me realise that, I was dealing with the right person and a very well respected and long established company. I felt that Alison had my back when making my choices and final decisions. Needless to say I went against the grain and didn’t even consider getting further quotes, putting a deposit down for 3 window shutters. In the past 11 months of living in our new home, I’ve had some terrible sales advisors (kitchen sales) who clearly just want a sale and are pressuring to the point of being ‘creepy’! It was so refreshing to see the other side of sales, zero pressure, helping me make the right choices. I’m so excited for when the time comes for installation! Our experience with Hillary’s has been positive from the outset. Planning what to have on each window. Our experience brought the same advisor and fitter Steve Andrews (117355) this meant by the time of fitting we knew who we had to do the job. I must say he was polite and tided up after himself. He did an excellent job of fitting our shutters went through how to use them and how to clean and look after them. Overall a good experience.

Very efficient sales visit and good understanding of my needs. Measurements and quotation were completed in no time. Installation was also very efficient and quick - no fuss, no mess, packaging and rubbish all removed immediately. Minor adjustments made upon inspection. Very satisfied.

It was a long wait for my shutters to be ready for fitting but I am very pleased with them. The fitting was very professional and they look really nice. I had them to keep the sun out and to help keep the warmth in, it is still early days but they appear to be perfect for the job.

Nick (Thistle), advisor 118032, came to measure up and then returned to fit the curtains when they were made. Fast, efficient, friendly service. Great attention to detail, tying the curtains so they settle in good pleats, with the ties to be taken off after a week. Good quality curtain material and a good price in the sale.
