It means that you're stuck with their CHAT that do not solve any issues..."No worries Sir - we will do out best" - which apparantly is nothing There do not seem to be any response or reaction at all on the Trustpilot evaluations either. I will upon request be happy to document: issue, booking number, ticket reference, names of more than 20 employees that I have been in contact with during the last 1,5 Month e.t.c. But so far, I haven't got neither what I booked nor any refund.

United Arab Emirates | 30 September 2024Etihad call centre, and more so my experience with them, is perhaps the worst and most disgusting experience I have ever had. The level of incompetencey, the deception and lies, including lack of understanding surpasses any thing I could imagine. I beg you, do not make the same mistake and fly with Etihad. I have been travelling with Etihad for 10 years, and past couple of years on business flights, and I am done.

Denmark | 29 September 2024Be careful! They steal from your account! Always use a credit card linked to a bank account that has only the amount of the ticket you purchase. I bought tickets for myself and family two daya after they withdraw the same amount from my account. I call them, i write to their customer service they just stall and deny. My bank confirms the money was withdrawn and is on etihads account but etihad denies. Thiefs!!! Scammers ! Never never again...

Germany | 29 September 2024Ich habe eine absolut schreckliche Erfahrung mit dieser Airline gemacht. Auf dem Hinflug kam mein Gepäck nicht an und ich konnte es erst Tage später wiederbekommen. Auf dem Rückweg hat die Airline dann einfach meinen Anschlussflug storniert, sodass ich die Reise zwar angetreten habe, aber dann ohne jegliche Benachrichtigung nicht weiterreisen konnte. Dementsprechend habe ich ca. 19h in Abu Dhabi verbracht und kam einen Tag später zuhause an, als geplant. Der Kundenservice war zudem absolut intransparent und hat versucht, die Schuld von sich zu weisen. Bisher ist auch noch keine Erstattung erfolgt (2 Monate später). Nie wieder!

United Kingdom | 27 September 2024Absolute disgusting what is happening with our flights at the moment, we went with Etihad Airways (a more expensive option) as they have a good reputation but what is happening to us is ridiculous 😡. We have booked a return flight to Thailand for November and a week after booking ( in June) we noticed a slight misspelling of a surname on one of us (3 of us going). We phoned up and had this changed no problem (or so we thought). A week later we had an updated itinerary through and 1 of the flights have been removed (abu Dhabi - Thailand). All of the others are still fine and correct. Upon calling Etihad to see what has happened they said it needs to be investigated and would take up to a month. We are now 2 and a half months down the line with numerous calls to Etihad and constantly being fobbed off. We have had no confirmation of this booking actually being sorted. Disgusting service and am very shocked from an airline if your apparent standard!

United Kingdom | 27 September 2024I would give zero stars were it an option, as their call centre staff either don't know what they are talking about, dint care or intentionally give false information. They managed to book me and my 13 year old daughter on seperate flights to Australia from London and charged an extra fee too! Then couldn't get us on the same flights and wouldn't cancel them. I downloaded the app, cancelled online on the day we were due to fly and rebooked with BA. They gave me a refund of less than £2000 for tickets that had cost £4800. Thankfully the credit company managed to get the rest back but the moralnof this story? I would rather swim the shark infested oceans to Australia than ever contemplate an Etihad flight again. Unsurprisingly, I've now spoken to others at work who have had the same experience with them. You've been warned!

Ireland | 27 September 2024We were extremely disappointed by Etihad all around! Their service was mediocre for a company that prides itself for excellence! We travelled from Dublin to Seoul, with a stop over in Abu Dhabi, both to and fro. On the way to Seoul, we had to fly some 15 hours on planes which offered little more comfort, if that, as a Ryanair plane, except that Ryanair prides itself to offer a highly straight-forward, low cost and reliable service, all of which it does (and I love my Ryanair trans-European flights). Both to and from Seoul we were freezing; on the way back I asked multiple times for the air con to be reduced and it took 3 hours for them to do so, not once did the crew even offer extra blankets to anyone. One passenger got quite sick on board and none of the crew members offered to place her somewhere more comfortable, nor did they check on her. We did as we sat near her. The food was disappointing both ways, very soggy and tasteless, except for a couple of times when dessert was actually good. When queuing at Seoul airport, there was a lady with two small kids, a baby and a toddler, the baby was crying and people in the queue were quite good in letting her pass before them until one of the hostesses told her to remain in her place in the queue!! That hostess was plain abrupt and disrespectful. This gave us a flavour of what the inflight crew was going to be like, unfriendly, abrupt, and borderline rude, maybe because most of us were travelling economy! Our experience of Etihad is that this airline treats people travelling Economy like cattle!! I will refrain from travelling with them if I can. The choice of onboard entertainment was also quite poor! Another thing to point out is that we had booked our flights in November 2023 and travelled to Seoul of June 2024. During that time, Etihad sent us well over a dozen time changes it was stressful. Just before flying out, Etihad just informed us that our return flights had been cancelled!! We had to rebook the whole flight (Seoul-Abu Dhabi-Dublin) and did not get refunded for our hotel in Abu Dhabi which we lost since our flight was cancelled, as we no longer had the 17 hour layover. Luckily we managed to extend our stay in our hotel in Seoul where they kindly charged us the two extra days in July at the same price we had originally paid when reserving in April. Lastly, their app is poorly designed and far from user-friendly and buying your seat on the plane is pure extortion! Etihad! Worst airline we ever travelled with!!

Germany | 25 September 2024Ich habe erfolgreich einen Flug nach Bangkok gebucht für Dezember 2024, so dass ich diesen genau in meinem vom Chef genehmigten Urlaub nehmen kann. Die Buchung wurde bestätigt. Daraufhin habe ich meinen Reiseplan Stück für Stück vervollständigt, d.h. ich habe innerhalb von Südostasien diverse Flüge mit anderen Airlines und Hotels gebucht. Etwa 10 Tage später wurde mir mitgeteilt, dass sich mein Flug um 24 Stunden verschoben hat. Ich konnte zwar umbuchen, das hätte mich für den geplanten Tag aber 300 Euro Aufpreis gekostet. Die Airline interessiert sich nicht, ob man Reisepläne auf einem beständigten Flug aufbaut und danach seinen Urlaub plant. Es ist einfach nur eine Frechheit.

Buchungscode EYH...Wenn Sie dann Rückfragen haben oder ein Problem aufkommt gibt es keinen satisfaktionsfähigen Ansprechpartner. Etihad Holidays ist nicht zuständig da Etihad-Airways-Buchung, Etihad Airways Hotlines sind nur zuständig für Flüge...Single Point of Contact für Kunden gibt es nicht. Die Linke Hand weiß nicht was die Rechte macht. Werde zukünftig Hotel nur noch direkt buchen. Übrigens analog Stop Over, wenn Sie hier eine Änderung machen wollen, vergessen Sie es.

Portugal | 20 September 2024Booked flights early in advance this year, for a specific price. A few days before the trip, they cancelled my whole reservation without further explanation. But if I search for flights on those same dates, they exist. Because they decided that they could sell those ticket flights for double the price. Waiting for the refund and they state they might not refund the insurance? Which I paid extra precisely because of these issues? I'm done.

Denmark | 19 September 2024This company is a joke. I had to pay for the hotels in their stop over program. When I booked the flights for me and family, it was very clearly stated on the website that we can get FREE accommodation for 2 nights for the stopover in Abu Dhabi. That's the main reason why we chose Etihad Airways vs other airlines to fly to South Korea. I didn't book the hotel right after purchasing the flight tickets because we wanted to better define our plans. Later they said that the program had changed and we had ended up having to pay for the accommodations. This was super scammy practice.

United Kingdom | 19 September 2024I booked a holiday for my brother and I and after he died they only refunded half my ticket. I've called them 20 times. Customer services keep promising a refund an never deliver. I sent the death certificate and eveyrthing. They told me he wasn't really my brother and refused to refund. I couldn't believe it. Customer representatives sound high or drunk half the time. Always file a bank dispute against these people if they refuse to refund you within 3 months.

And kept on stating that that fare isn't available! Like how come if it's tge same flight same basic fare no upgrades and seats are available

Italy | 17 September 2024I was supposed to fly together with my family from Singapore to Rome on July 21. The flight was delayed 1 full day due to technical issues with the plane. We experienced the worst assistance from the ground crew at the airport where we were stuck until 2AM. I am trying to get customer service assistance for the customary compensation for this type of inconvenience, but there is no way to get to the procedure/forms. The website is not clear on this topic and the chat functionality does not contemplate (guess why...). I will do my very best to avoid this airline for the rest of my life and recommend others to do the same. Thanks God there are many other airlines for the same itinerary

Netherlands | 15 September 2024Almost as good as Emirates, but more complimentary stuff, like earplugs and a sleep mask. Great selection of movies and games on inflight entertainment. Check in and boarding went off without a hitch. Staff was friendly on the flight. Seats are comfortable. No complaints here!

Dear Etihad Airways, I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration with the level of service and treatment I experienced during my recent journey with your airline. As a long-standing Etihad Business Class customer, I have come to expect a certain standard of service and amenities, one of which has been the complimentary chauffeur service from Abu Dhabi to Dubai. This has been a consistent and much-appreciated perk that I have enjoyed on numerous occasions when traveling with your airline. However, upon my arrival at Abu Dhabi airport on flight EY654 from Cairo on July 30, 2024, I was informed at the front desk that I was not eligible for the complimentary chauffeur service, despite having booked a Business Class ticket. This was the first time I had encountered such an issue. Furthermore, I was informed that this restriction applied to Business Class Value fares, which I had booked using some of my Etihad Guest miles. There was no indication on the website or during the booking process that this service was not available for these particular fares. Perplexed by this sudden change, I sought to speak with the person in charge to understand the situation better. Unfortunately, the experience only continued to deteriorate from there. I was shuffled between three different representatives, each of whom displayed a severe lack of courtesy and customer service. One individual, Sannan Tariq from your ground operations team, was particularly challenging and even somewhat intimidating in his approach. When I requested Sannan Tariq's name to include in my complaint, he obligingly wrote it down for me, displaying a complete disregard for the gravity of the situation and the impact it has had on me as a long-standing and loyal Etihad customer. I am deeply surprised and disappointed by the attitude and behavior of your staff, which is in stark contrast to the exceptional service I have come to expect from Etihad Airways. This experience has left me stranded at the airport, with no means to return to Dubai, as I had been relying entirely on the complimentary chauffeur service that I had always received in the past. I would like to know how Etihad Airways intends to address this matter and the actions that will be taken to rectify the situation. As a valued customer who has been loyal to your airline for years, I deserve a prompt and satisfactory resolution to this issue. I look forward to your swift response and a mutually agreeable solution that will restore my faith in Etihad Airways and its commitment to delivering the highest standards of customer service.

New Zealand | 15 September 2024I wish I could give them a zero rating because giving them 1 star makes them look good. I booked a flight with Etihad from Christchurch to Manchester and on their app they stated (in bold red) FREE HOTEL UP TO 4 nights. After contacting the customer service they advised me it actually isn’t free on reading the text it says it’s discounted hotels and there is no free hotel. They also charged a booking fee of $32. What an absolute ripoff why say one thing and do another. Really bad advertising. Luckily I was within the cancellation period and cancelled my flight. Etihad needs to be honest with its customers. So please tread carefully with this company they are very dishonest. It’s shame that I can attach a photo of the problems I had with their so called free offer.

Thailand | 14 September 2024I had a flight from Phuket to Abu Dhabi and from Dubai to Bishkek after (by Emirates). But Etihad told me that my flight is overbooked and I don't fly today. I lost time, money for my second tickets, and also now 22 days already and they didn't back my money for original tickets ($2100, not cheap). Etihad Airways is scammers. P.S. And I am an influencer with 2M subscribers in social media, and they know it. Just imagine. upd: They stole my money August, 21, and disappeared from any conversations with my from September, 4, but Visa through my bank (I've asked a chargeback) backed my money. Do the same thing, coz etihad thieves could only steal but never back. F**ing scammers!

Belgium | 12 September 2024Wilde vlucht verplaatsen voor staking 1oktober in Zaventem,maar ze wilden niet gratis omboeken.Ze wisten officieel nog van niks.Ik had wel al in mei de tickets gekocht.Zelfs na meerdere keren contact niks mogelijk.Heb dan maar de vlucht geannuleerd (met kosten natuurlijk) en met Emirates een nieuwe vlucht geboekt een dag eerder.Een slecht bedrijf die niet wil meedenken met de klanten.1 x geboekt nooit meer.Terug Emirates iets duurder maar wel service
