ETIHAD.... Very poor Customer service by team . 5 months ongoing complaint case with many false promises on updates and failed to return updates. Even internal management from call center finding it hard to get answers from ETIHAD Guest team . 1 of 4 case complaint numbers below 240 725 430 4734

I departed from Rome with Wizz Air for the outbound flight, and they didn't charge me for the free hand luggage (max. 40 x 30 x 20 cm). However, on the return flight, in Abu Dhabi, with your airline company it was different, I had to pay as much as 185.00 AED for my hand luggage, which should have been free.

Our family are dual national of Pakistan and Ireland. Our flight was on 7 August from Abu Dhabi to Karachi Unfortunately on the night of 6 August I could not find one of my sons National Identity card of overseas Pakistanis(NICOP) which we use to get visa free entry to Pakistan when I checked what will be the option for us to travel to Pakistan if my son don't have NICOP, because we are Pakistani citizen we can still travel to Pakistan once we arrive in Pakistan we can get 72 hours landing permit this information was given by Immigration wing helpline in Pakistan on +9251111345786. I was very satisfied that it should not be a problem to travel now. I asked Immigration help line if they can send me any evidence of the law what she said to me she said air line should know all the law and SOP,s don't worry you should not have any problem. When I reached Etihad airways check in desk the agent said that we have to get permission from Karachi Airport Immigration. I was confident that they will give permission from Karachi airport immigration but I got a big surprise and shock that we can not fly, According to Etihad airways Immigration at Karachi Airport told Etihad that not to accept us on flight which was very strange and disappointing for our family. My 2 sons 4 and half and 7 and a half years old were exited to go on flight but we could not flyout our families were very upset especially my mother who has stroke last year and I was coming especially to see her she was very upset and sad which is not good for her health. I bought new tickets and came to Karachi when I reached Karachi Airport I share my experience with Immigration officer on duty and asked him what is the law in this situation he told me that you should have allow to travel and get 72 hours landing permit. He said it was very unfair with you it is a normal thing for us and this is a law because you are Pakistani citizen you can fly even you don't have NICOP, When I share my experience with one of the officer of Pakistan International airline at Sharjah airport on the day of our flight to Karachi he said the same thing and said if you were traveling on PIA we would have let you fly because you are Pakistani and you can travel even you have lost your NICOP. Everything prove that Etihad airways does not know the law or policy of Pakistani Government. I have requested Etihad airways to refund my tickets money but they have refused to refund me my tickets money. I am not asking for money of my new tickets I am just asking please refund me my Etihad tickets because I could not fly and that was fault of Etihad airways and their lack of knowledge. I hope Etihad airways will consider my request otherwise I have a right to take legal action. NATIONAL IRELAND (REP.) (IE) /DESTINATION PAKISTAN (PK) VISA DESTINATION PAKISTAN (PK) ...... Je ne comprends pas les mauvaises opinions sur Etihad. Nous avons pris CDG/BKK avec escale à Abu Dhabi en classe affaire. Départ 28/7/2024 et retour le 20/08/2024 pour la première fois avec cette compagnie (les autres années avec Emirates). Service à bord impeccable, excellents choix des repas et boissons(moins qu'Emirates, il faut le dire). Seul bémol : lounge partagé à CDG misérable. Lounges à Abu Dhabi ou à BKK très bien. Pour moi c'est Emirates ou Etihad

We pre booked our seats with Etihad for a trip to Thailand in November 2024, following a holiday that we had booked via Thomas Cook with friends for a 60th birthday It was unfortunate that in August 2024 the tour operator Thomas Cook cancelled our holiday as they had not booked our room meaning we could not travel. I spoke to Etihad to ask if they would kindly refund me our pre booked seats as it was not our fault that we could not travel, the response was a flat NO. Ok, I appreciate that there are booking conditions, but this was completely out of our control and I would have hoped that the alleged 5 Star Airline would have understood our predicament, but no. It shows that they are so commercially focused and not customer focused and for the measly sum of money they could have refunded it as a gesture of good will on their part! Will I book Etihad again, no. We were looking forward to flying with them to be honest having used Qatar and Emirates in most recent years, who provided an exceptional service. I will most certainly not fly Etihad and will choose a proper 5 Star airline that is customer focussed

Purtroppo, devo condividere una recensione molto negativa della mia esperienza con Etihad Airways. Dopo anni di viaggi senza problemi, il mio recente volo con Etihad è stato deludente sotto molti aspetti, soprattutto per quanto riguarda la gestione di un passeggino che è stato gravemente danneggiato durante il trasporto. Nonostante abbia fornito tutta la documentazione richiesta, inclusa una stima di sostituzione del passeggino dal negozio in cui è stato acquistato, la compagnia ha insistito a offrirmi soltanto 50 USD di risarcimento. Questa cifra è ridicola, considerando che un nuovo passeggino costa centinaia di euro. Sono rimasto molto deluso dal fatto che una compagnia aerea del calibro di Etihad, con una reputazione così prestigiosa, abbia un approccio così rigido e poco comprensivo verso i clienti in situazioni di questo tipo. Altre compagnie, anche meno rinomate, hanno offerto rimborsi adeguati e un servizio clienti molto più attento. Etihad non solo ha danneggiato il mio passeggino, ma mi ha anche trattato con indifferenza quando ho cercato un risarcimento equo. Non mi aspettavo questo tipo di trattamento da una compagnia di tale livello. Non volerò mai più con Etihad e sconsiglio vivamente a chiunque di farlo, soprattutto se si considera il loro servizio clienti e la loro gestione dei reclami.

Etihad customer service is appalling with lost and damaged luggage. I made a complaint via email with no human interaction, just given the run and around now they refuse to communicate saying "that I am not courteous enough" for them, what a bunch of B*******. Will proceed to the small claims court which is harder to cancel and ignore.

De ødelagde min bagage, var derefter ET HALVT ÅR om at svare med 6 opfølgninger, hvorefter de siger, at de ikke vil hjælpe fordi vi skulle have kontaktet dem i lufthavnen. Det var i København lufthavn, og der var de ikke, klokken var 4 om morgenen og den eneste servicemedarbejder vi kunne finde sagde, at vi skulle skrive til dem onlkne

The customer service team has not been able to credit the missing mileage for a business class ticket even though all requirements have been provided. The customer service agent Salvador Samson III is the person who always responds (and at least there is a consistency) - however the content of the message always encourages me to be more patient. There is nothing else this person could offer. There is no explanation, there is no timeline to close the matter etc. The experience on the flights is OK - but anything else is not worth.

Parts of the flights related to an A/R booking from India to Italy disappeared after the 1st flight has been rerouted due to weather conditions and, since more than 10days, 5 phonecalls, 1 opened claim, I am still unable to get confirmed by flights back. Furthermore, while highlighting that parts of the flight segments were cancelled without warning I've been offered terrible alternatives: an expensive rebook with no compensation + a No Show fee after they informed me it was impossible to confirm my reservation on a certain flight (for which, instead they offered a week-long delay with no ssupport in a stop over country). It's been 10years that I am not struggling with a reservation which has been cancelled for reasons not to be attributed to myself and not receiving any support at all! Since I relocated to the asian continent I was looking forward to become a Gold customer by only choosing Etihad for both my personal and business trips but after this nightmare experience I will refrain myself from doing so.

I've flown with Etihad many times, and my family often does too, but after my recent experience, we’re done with this airline. Etihad canceled my flight without warning and offered terrible alternatives: an expensive rebook with no compensation, a week-long delay with no support, or a downgraded route with extra stopovers. Customer service was unhelpful and dismissive, and to top it off, they've made it nearly impossible to contact them. If you value reliability and good service, choose another airline. Etihad has lost a loyal customer, and I won’t be flying with them again.

customer service has gone downhill big time in the last year. They do not follow what is written on their web site and they change the rules when they like. Don't expect any reply to messages as they probably delete them. I am a gold member and still don't get a reply or anything for my loyalty. I am still waiting for miles etc from 4 months ago. I have supplied the information 3 times yet they still cannot find my record. I booked directly with them, with an Etihad agent over the phone. They broke my babies stroller and didnt care. the list is endless. their customer support staff are useless and are simply phone operators with no will to actually do anything. A pigeon could do a better job I understand that the management changed last year. its changed for the worst. if their plan was to tank their ranking then they have succeeded

Tot onze grote spijt hebben wij tickets gekocht bij Etihad voor onze aankomende reis. Na betaling via IDeal hebben we geen bevestiging of tickets mogen ontvangen. Meermaals contact gehad met de klantenservice (zowel telefonisch als via chat) Uiteraard ook meermaals van het welbekende kastje naar de muur gestuurd. De volledig Indiaanse klantenservice geeft aan dat het bedrag inderdaad betaald is, echter is de boeking door Etihad niet goed verwerkt. Helaas is het geen mogelijkheid om de boeking alsnog te verwerken door de vanwege tarieven. Het betaalde bedrag wordt teruggeboekt en ik dien maar een nieuwe boeking te maken. Dit ga ik uiteraard niet doen. Gezien de vele slechte recensies heb ik weinig vertrouwen dat ik het betaalde geld ooit nog terug ga zien.

I have read quite a few negative reviews here and I can now see that the negative experience and appalling customer service has now become common with Etihad airways. I wish I had read the reviews before booking. I had relied on previous pleasant experiences with Etihad airlines 9 years ago and I regret this. I wish there was a way for dissatisfied customers to come together and file a class action lawsuit as customer rights are being violated by this airline. This airline will even cancel your flights mid journey and say that they want to give you a refund five months after ticket purchase when you are already in transit and ticket prices are at their peak. I bought return tickets from Birmingham to Nairobi on 29/02/2024. Our flight with Etihad Airways left London Heathrow on 7th August to Abu Dhabi and we had a 4 day stop over under the Etihad free stopover package. We were issued 96 hour transit visa sponsored by Etihad Airways on 8th July. This was on the basis that we had a valid ticket to leave Abu Dhabi and we have a valid ticket to Nairobi. We arrived in Abu Dhabi on 7th August and stayed 4 days as per the stopover package with 2 free nights. On 11/08/2024 we were unable to check in our flight from Abu Dhabi to Nairobi because apparently the flight is non existent. We came to the airport were asked to cancel our tickets to receive a refund. We were also informed that we were sent emails informing us that flights were cancelled. The call centre also asked us to cancel our tickets while we were at the airport mid journey on 11/08/2024 . We were already in Abu Dhabi with children, having left London on 7th August with Etihad airlines on the booking which was apparently cancelled and we were never informed but this was not their concern. I had never received an email saying that my flight had been cancelled, my itinerary on the app shows all the legs of my flight. If my flight was cancelled, how were we able to check in online and travel from London to Abu Dhabi on that booking? How were we issued a transit visa for 96 hours? How is it possible for Etihad to transport passengers from London to Abu Dhabi, sponsor the transit visa on 8th July which can only be done on the basis of a valid ticket leaving Abu Dhabi, and then ask us to cancel our ticket to receive a refund in the middle of the journey? How was the visa issued for without an onward valid ticket from Abu Dhabi? And we had a valid ticket despite their claims. We were also traveling with children and am unwell and had to have wheelchair assist from London Heathrow. I requested for the wheel chair assist on 9th July on the Etihad online chat and this was confirmed on the chat that wheelchair assist was added to my booking. Again even at this point, nobody said that my flight was cancelled or tickets were invalid. The treatment we have received is quite shocking and no one has been able to show us an email saying that our flight was cancelled. Even in the event of flight cancellations, aren't airlines supposed to offer you an alternative flight. After much back and forth with Etihad airlines call centre and airport staff, while standing at the airport customer service counter for hours, we were finally offered an alternative. The alternative flight leaves more than 24 hours after our original flight, and arrives on 13th August. Our initial flight was due arrive at 1305 on 11/08/2024. We appreciate the staff on the ground who tried their best in what seems to be a broken system. We were offered no care, no water or food or accommodation and we are traveling with three children and an invalid. It's unfortunate that one cannot give reviews below 1 because my experience is -15 or lower.

It was a really bad flight. I've never experienced anything like it before. The air conditioning blew very cold air and cooled down so much that people froze and even had to cover themselves with blankets. It also caused me health problems. There was no way to regulate the air in individual seats. To assume that every passenger needs exactly the same temperature and then to set it as very cold is an absolute disgrace. Even reporting it to the flight crew several times didn't change anything. They then said that we should put blankets over our heads...!

Etihad aircraft’s are good but the additional services offered are a marketing gimmick. I had a first class ticket from LHR-AUH and then onwards from AUH-DEL on business. I was told by customer service on 2 occasions that I am eligible for chauffeur drive service and will shortly receive confirmation. However on the day of the flight, upon checking again to confirm, to my surprise I was told I am not eligible for chauffeur since I am on First class “value” and in transit with business class, I am not eligible. Nowhere on their site it mentioned these conditions. Terrible service on a first class ticket. Rather they should not advertise chauffeur drive service being complimentary at all since it is only available for a very selected few fare types even on first class! I will be going back to Emirates for first class as at least they are transparent on their services.

I have been reading the reviews by Etihad travellers and see that most of them have returned negative reports. Based on my own flight from Manila to Abu Dhabi, EY 423 on 20 July 2024, I understand the frustration travellers are experiencing. At Check in I was told my seat 9K, “may not have a working entertainment centre”! “May not” in Etihad talk is “not working”. I said that’s fine upgrade me to 1st. I was told there is no 1st and as Business is fully booked they couldn’t reallocate me! I suggested they let me take the next flight, but strangely that fell on deaf ears with no intention of giving me an answer. Naturally, although the entertainment centre is an essential element to a long haul flight, it wasn’t working! The cabin stewardess offered me complimentary WiFi which was of no use to me as I had neither a tablet or laptop and I had no subscriptions to film or music streaming channels. I have spoken several times on the phone as my emails seem to disappear into the ether! Having spoken to an agent, who couldn’t help on complaints and couldn’t transfer my call, was told that a manager would contact me within 28 days. I said that 28 days is a ridiculous target. He said it was policy. To which I replied policy is more important than customer focus? Roger Friend

Come letto su altre recensioni, ho acquistato due mesi fa due biglietti Malpensa Bali per Agosto utilizzando il pagamento con Bonifico Bancario. Il bonifico è uscito dal mio account verso la società terza da loro indicata ma non avendo ricevuto i biglietti ho contattato il customer service. Per farla breve, dopo circa una ventina abbondante di iterazioni con il customer service, dopo aver mandato n volte le informazioni e aver compilato un form per il rimborso, a distanza di 50 giorni dall'acquisto non mi hanno rimborsato, non ho notizie certe su quando (se) mi rimborseranno e ora vedo i biglietti sul mio account ethiad, peccato che nel frattempo ho trovato e acquistato i biglietti con un'altra soluzione. Peraltro non ho ricevuto mail con i biglietti dal sito, me li ha inoltrati dopo un mese e dopo avermi detto che la prenotazione non era stata confermata il customer service. Ciliegina sulla torta, avendo segnalato la cosa sulla pagina fb di ethiad sono stato vittima di in tentativo di truffa attraverso un contatto su WhatsApp. Prima ed ultima esperienza con ethiad, davvero la peggiore esperienza di acquisto online di tutta la mia vita !
