Flight cancelled after we had boarded and sat on the aircraft an hour. Sent a letter recorded delivery at the end of April asking for compensation, no response, filed a complaint via their website, no response. Poor customer service. Will be issuing court proceedings as have no choice. Avoid at all costs as they don’t care once they have had your money!

I recently flew on Etihad Airways flight EY12 from London to Abu Dhabi on 6 July 2024, and I have to say, I was quite disappointed with the experience. Firstly, there was no access to in-flight entertainment such as movies or TV shows, and even basic flight data was unavailable. This was really frustrating, as I was looking forward to using these features to make the long flight more bearable. To make matters worse, my friend and I each paid $9.99 for unlimited WiFi, but the WiFi did not work at all during the entire flight. This was a significant inconvenience since we had planned to use the internet for work and communication. Additionally, we paid £55.40 each for seats with extra legroom specifically to enjoy the entertainment and other expected amenities. Unfortunately, with the lack of functioning entertainment and WiFi, this additional expense felt completely wasted. I tend to have positive experiences with Etihad Airways, but this is becoming quite a common letdown lately. I hope the airline addresses these issues promptly. Based on this experience, I can’t recommend their services unless they make significant improvements.

Geld machen mit behinderten geht gar nicht! Ich hatte einen Unfall und würde einfach auf einen Platz in der Mitte gesetzt, obwohl ich ein Attest hatte das ich Beinfreiheit brauche. Der Chat ging gar nicht darauf ein. als ich sagte das keine Plätze mehr zur Verfügung stehen mit Beinfreiheit gab es dann plötzlich wieder welche zu einem Preis von 27€. Auch beim Einchecken haben wir 2 Stunden gebraucht bis wir einen Rollstuhl hatten der uns zum Gate gebracht hat. Ich bin mal auf den Flug gespannt...

So much disappointed with their luggage handling services. I was alone at the airport with two bags one big and one mesium size. The guy at the check in refused to take a medium size bag as they only accepted certain dimentions like other cheap flights. I had to leave luggage at excess baggage and are paying extra money everyday for the baggage they couldn't take. The main thing is that the weight was right and they refused take my small bag due to dimensions. I chose Etihad instead of Air India, Vsitara or Qatar and paid extra 10000 ruppees for better experience. But I would say very well done for your poor grounds of service.

Was told from check-in counter that my pre-booked seat (which was booked two weeks earlier!) is not confirmed because the flight was over-booked. Untrustworthy airlines. Why did the airlines overbook the flight? Why are they not giving a passenger a seat even after he had booked two weeks prior with full payment? Making profit is a good thing, but is cheating the way to make money? Aint it better to steal? Who are they planning to sell the seat to? The worst airline experience ever.

Mein Flug von Phuket nach Abu Dhabi hatte wegen eines Fahrwerksdefekts Verspätung. Ich habe angefragt, ob es eine Entschädigung in Form von Flugmeilen gibt. Es hat zwar etwas gedauert, aber dann kam eine Mail mit einem Voucher über 300 US–$, die ich auf zukünftigen Flügen einsetzen kann (man speichert den Voucher auf einem extra Konto). Und das, obwohl EU–Recht hier keine Anwendung finden kann. Ich habe mich über diese Kundenfreundlichkeit sehr gefreut!

Ich hatte einen günstigen Flug nach BKK (über weg.de) mit Bahnanfahrt gebucht, der dann angeblich annulliert wurde. Nun soll ich nach einigen Wochen der Ungewissheit, noch über 30 Euro weniger zurück bekommen, weil ich mein Geld zurück haben will und nicht irgenwelche Versprechungen, die in der Zukunft liegen. Das ist unverschämt! Ich vermute es ist eine Masche, hier billige Flüge zu verkaufen, um sich beim Kunden Geld zu borgen und auch bei der Rückerstattung noch zu verdienen.

Borderline scam airline, with hidden policies and charges inconsistent with the terms of service on their website. Their customer service is robotic and feels like you’re talking to a 2016 chat bot, their tech offering is obnoxious and their customer experience is worse Ryanair. I was misled about flight change policies, then they wanted to leave me stranded without a solution. I was also charged €350 instead of the $30 cited on their website for a change of flight, even though the new flight was half the price of the original. This is a laughable company by western values and laws. Their trustpilot score is 1.5, let that tell you everything you need to know.

Not the first tier airline experience that I had expected. Business class was ok with door booth, but in-flight entertainment horrible! Flight departure was late at least one hour both ways, with no lounge in Malaga or Narita. In flight food was very salty, could only eat half. Abu Dhabi lounge was very good, Cabin attendants seemed to be poorly trained and in state of fluster.

ταξιδεψα 1/3/24 απο αθηνα αμπου νταμπι κ μετα τοκιο. επιστροφη 11/3/24 απο ναριτα ειμαστε 4 ατομα .οι πτησεις ηταν στην ωρα τους,ταξιδι υπεροχο,προσωπικο τελειο,γευματα τελεια, το μονο ασχημο ηταν η βαλιτσα απο την πρωτη πτηση εσπασε κ συνεχεια μεχρι το τοκιο καταστραφηκε με φωτο,δεν αποζειμιωθηκα ποτε.ακομα και οταν γυρισα αθηνα.

Was refused to board at the gate despite having checked in with boarding pass in hand. The reason cited being an airline policy that I would need a transit visa as I had a connecting flight the destination, despite my checking with destination country government that I would not need one. The check in process should have checked for this if it was a policy. Gate agents at the airport were very rude and completely unhelpful, staff seemed not well trained in this regard. Etihad provided travel credit (half the value of what I paid) as a result, but upon looking at the redemption flight options, they jack up the prices almost double what you would pay booking a normal flight. I found I would have to pay thousands more than what I originally paid just to rebook the same flight. Thus my travel credit is useless and thousands of dollars are now down the drain. This business is a scam and I will avoid and warn all others to avoid at all costs.

Seat sizes and leg space reduced to least possible capacity. Seats cannot be reclined. No onboard entertainment; you need your own phone to attach it to their system or something. But if you have a c type wire, forget it. Only regular usb connector. Carry your converters. BRUTAL experience.

Second time travelling with Etihad airways at first I thought great airline had no problems until my flight in May to Abu Dhabi Dinner was served and I swallowed hair about 12 inches long. I was choking My husband had to help me we got hold of it not a nice experience. I beckoned the crew member over showed her the hair, she took the hair and said a report was going to put in her senior came over and asked for details etc. I have heard nothing filed a complaint got a case number and nothing else. This is disgusting.

Mi dispiace molto dover fare questa recensione perché Ilaria del servizio clienti è stata comunque molto gentile, ma purtroppo ci siamo trovati in una situazione veramente spiacevole con questa compagnia: il 4 giugno abbiamo acquistato due biglietti per un volo da Roma a Kuala Lumpur (2.500€ circa per due persone a/r). Abbiamo utilizzato come metodo di pagamento il bonifico bancario. La procedura prevede che questo bonifico bancario arrivi alla loro società intermediaria (Global Collect). Purtroppo, Global Collect ha evidentemente perso il nostro bonifico, tanto che Etihad questa settimana (15 giorni dopo) ha cancellato la nostra prenotazione. Dopo varie chiamate ed email inviate per riavere QUANTOMENO i nostri biglietti al prezzo a cui li avevamo pagati, la conclusione è stata la seguente: noi riceveremo un rimborso tra 8 giorni lavorativi, e di riprenotare il volo. Notate bene, il volo attualmente costa ben 300€ in più rispetto a quando è stato prenotato. Etihad, a detta loro, non può confermare i biglietti al prezzo iniziale, non può emettere un buono sconto e non può nemmeno fare in modo che l'intermediario paghi per questo errore.

Etihad's policy on dealing with damaged luggage: 1) give passenger wrong information at luggage desk in baggage hall - I was told to go online to file my claim by an Etihad staff member sitting behind the counter. He confirmed I wouldn't need anything in writing from him nor a form. Afterwards found out he should have given me a form with a ref number 2) not properly maintaining the webpage on which to report damaged items - I had trouble uploading photos and was unable to verify whether certain photos had indeed been uploaded. 3) ignore passenger's emails and reply only after passenger has mentioned the Civil Aviation Authority . 4) request the same information that had been uploaded onto the webpage again and again, then not answering any further mails from customer until she threatens to involve the Ombudsman. 5) refusing damage compensation on grounds of non-compliance to company's 'Damaged Baggage Policy' without providing evidence of said policy, but providing a faulty link that gives no information about any such policy. Done. Got rid of pesky customer.

Wir hatten Sitzplatzreservierungen gebucht und bezahlt. Hinzu klappte es, zurück bekamen wir total andere Plätze. Plätze, die wir weder gewollt noch bezahlt haben. Unsere Rückforderung des umsonst bezahlten Betrages wird ignoriert. Trotz mehrerer Anfragen - telefonisch wie auch schriftlich - wir bekommen weder eine Antwort noch unser Geld zurück. Der Flug war Ende März, jetzt haben wir Mitte Juni. Und ansonsten kein Unterschied zu anderen mittelmäßigen Airlines: enge Sitzplätze, Essen eher schlecht. Kein Vergleich mit Emirates, etc.

I recently travelled from Toronto to New Delhi and return in business class. I updated my Aeroplan account number for the points at checkin and boarding. I learnt later that after I boarded the airline Etihad changed the Aeroplan number to VA (velocity). I don't have a loyalty account with them . The fact I didn't get the points and someone got the points is unethical and irregular practice by their staff. Repeated email have resulted in their saying points once given cannot be reversed. No action/explanation as to how and why this occured. Do not trust this company. Staff can manipulate your personal data.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Etihad this evening. A few weeks ago, I booked a flight for my mother scheduled for June 11th. Initially, it was a one-way ticket, but I later realized that visitors are not allowed to arrive on a one-way ticket. I contacted customer service via chat to add a return flight to the existing booking. The agent booked the return for June 21st. However, I mistakenly gave the wrong date and requested a change to June 28th. The fare for the new date was quite high, so I asked the agent to keep the return flight on June 21st as it was. Without my consent, the agent canceled the return flight booking. I then spoke to another customer service representative who helped me book the return flight for June 28th, for which I made an additional payment. I also requested a refund for the June 21st booking that was canceled without my consent. The representative assured me I would receive the refund within 7 to 40 days. A week later, I followed up with customer service about the refund. Another representative informed me that I would receive it within 7 to 40 days and sent me a refund notice. However, I didn't realize that this representative had canceled all my bookings (arrival and departure) without my consent, and I didn't receive any cancellation notification email. When my mother reached the airport on June 11th, Etihad staff told her that her flight was canceled and insisted that I had canceled it. This led to an extremely embarrassing situation, especially since I wanted my mother to join us for the birth of our baby. Instead of celebrating, I spent the time arguing with airport staff and trying to reach Etihad customer service, who did not answer my calls. Here are my two key takeaways: 1. Poor customer service: Instead of listening carefully, they take actions based on assumptions. 2. I would never buy online tickets again, as they do not answer calls when you urgently need assistance.

Aereo con 10 ore di ritardo, ho chiesto un indennizzo e, dopo una quantità di solleciti, mi hanno risposto che loro non sono UE, quindi i rimborsi che spetterebbero me li posso scordare. Hanno proposto, solo come gesto di buona volontà, uno sconto di USD 100 ciascuno, per un totale di 200 USD, sotto forma di Crediti Etihad, da utilizzare per voli futuri con Etihad entro 12 mesi. Una vergogna, ovviamente ho risposto di tenerseli e che non viaggerò mai più con loro. Neanche una piega...saranno abituati
