United Kingdom | 09 June 2024I am a silver member with Etihad and in March booed 4 flights with them. Because I am a silver member I could choose my seats for free, but my husband had to pay to choose his seats so that we were seated together. So that's what he did he paid 4 different charges for the seat next to me, but then Etihad decided to move us on the aircraft which meant we were separated for all 4 flights. When we returned from our trip I wrote a complaint email to Etihad to get a refund for the cost of his seats. The intial email was on the 14th March I got an email back saying a case had been created, since then I have made dozens of phone calls and written numerous complaint emails and still nothing has been sorted. They don't reply to emails, they promise call back and NOTHING. The customer service is disgusting. I am at my wits end they won't put me through to the complaints department and they keep maing false promises. Disgusting I don't now how to make them reply to me. It is now the 17th September and still NO REFUND from Etihad on an online chat yesterday they asked for me to wait a further 72 hours its an absolute joke. Disgraceful company AVOID

France | 03 June 2024A EVITAR si no quieres quedarte sin maleta. Es en los detalles que se la juegan las malas y las buenas compañías. Etihad entra dentro de las malas. En nuestro vuelo de regreso el 17/04/24, al recoger nuestro equipaje, una de las maletas apareció rota, los tiradores de la cremallera estaban arrancados y la maleta estaba abierta, ha quedado totalmente inservible. Realizamos la reclamación correspondiente. La respuesta de Etihad fue que ellos consideran que es un daño menor y que no se hacen responsable, es decir, para ellos dejar una maleta totalmente inutilizable es un daño menor. A pesar de que existen convenios internacionales para las aerolíneas donde son obligadas a hacerse responsables del equipaje que tienen bajo su responsabilidad, Etihad se niega en bloque en compensar los danos ocasionados por su negligencia. Para nosotros es un NUNCA MAS pues su política hacia los pasajeros está muy lejos de su mentira de considerarse una de las mejores compañías aéreas.

Indonesia | 03 June 2024Without doubt the worst airline in the world. Ten years ago I had several terrible experiences in a row, so I complained in great detail but got no response from the airline. I was so angry I gave +/- 250,000 Etihad air miles to charity and told the CEO I had done so. No response. A few days ago I made the mistake of thinking they may have improved over the years. I was wrong. They are worse. So bad I can't even be bothered to waste my time writing about it. Just fly another airline. Any other airline. Or walk. Or take a bus. Or stay at home. Don't subject yourself to Etihad for any reason.

United Kingdom | 02 June 2024First, I traveled from London to Japan return. Before 24 hours online check in after you choose a seats they also need pay for the seats. I used many airlines this is the first time 24 hours online check in need money for the seats. If you don’t want pay it, you need waiting 4 hours or go to airport to take the tickets. But if you need in somewhere transfer you never enough time to online choose your seats. Second, when you buy the tickets website said join the club to get free WiFi for the trip. When I login on the plane, the WiFi just chat only. Other need pay money again. Everything just ask customer pay money. If you don’t want free WiFi, write clear to customer. Last, this is the worst thing when I finlish my trip. We arrived the airport before 3 hours. In front of us about 60 people. But about 1 hour just move less than 10 persons. Near Korean airline just 15 minutes finlish all 50 peoples and no one need waiting to check in. At the last I wait about 100 minutes to check in. After inside near the plane start on boarding. I early to arrived but they make us near miss the plane. Ask the staff just said follow the queued enough time. This airline experience is the worst. I will not choose it anymore. Hope you use this airline before must thinking.

Germany | 31 May 2024Finger weg von dieser Abzocke ! Bieten im Vorfeld billige Flüge an. Diese bezahlt man und man kann zusehen wie dann die Flüge anuliert werden ! Geld zurück ? Fehlanzeige. Warte nur seit Juni 2023 auf mein Geld auch über die Schlichtungsstelle !!! Nehmt ne andere Airline spart Ihr Euch den Ärger.

France | 30 May 2024Après avoir fait une réservation Abu Dhabi Paris/ Paris Abu Dhabi avec supplément bagages pour les 2 vols, j ai du changer ma date de départ et payer un supplément… ok. Lorsque je reçois mon nouveau E ticket il n’y a plus de bagages pour le retour. Cela fait 2 mois que j’appelle Etihad pour leurs exposer le problème et qu’ils me remettent le bagage… rien à faire ils me disent que le superviseur est en reunion( tous les jours depuis plus de 15j) et qu’une enquête est en cours…. Ils font une erreur mais ne veulent pas le reconnaître et surtout ne font rien pour régler celui ci UNE HONTE!!!!!!!!!! Plus jamais je ne prendrais cette compagnie surtout qu Air France fait maintenant les vols direct Abu Dhabi.

Netherlands | 29 May 2024Vlucht geboekt van 18 juni tm 31 juli naar KL. Betaling in orde, €668,- afgeschreven. Echter geen mails ontvangen met de boeking. Volgende dag gebeld met custom service, fijn en sociale mensen. Echter konden ze me niet verder helpen. Dienstdoende manager Mohamed gesproken. Situatie uitgelegd. Geeft aan een nieuwe boeking te doen, ticketprijzen opgeschroefd naar €730,- en vertrekken vanaf 20 juni. 2 vakantiedagen weg en €62,- duurder, manager zou kijken of hij een refund of een upgrade kon regelen. Dit is tot op heden niet gebeurd. Vanaf 1 mei iedere week gemaild voor een update, maar tevergeefs.

United Kingdom | 28 May 2024On 26th April 2024, I was travelling from Melbourne to London via Etihad. For this flight, I'd specifically requested wheelchair assistance to help me through the terminals and board the plane. The airport ground staff wheeled me to the Eithad booking desk, where an Eithad desk worker started heavily quizzing me about why I needed assistance, what was wrong with me, and what was going on. Firstly, your staff need customer service training. This is a disgusting way to speak to a paying customer, and secondly, it is NONE of her business what happened for me to need assistance. This line of questioning is incredibly insulting. Unfortunately, she made me feel like I was under significant pressure to answer her questions, so I explained I'd sustained a grade II muscle tear in my left hamstring and right calf and was temporarily incapable of walking more than short distances, therefore I prebooked special assistance. She then began to say I might not be able to fly and needed 'cabin crew final confirmation' before I got on the flight. Like what the hell is this all about? Eithad has a duty of care and a legal obligation to provide assistance for people with reduced mobility!!! I told her you have people who can't walk on your planes all the time, what is the issue here? The airline PROVIDES wheelchair assistance for these such cases. I had no idea what the problem was. She kept saying she needed to ensure I was 'safe in case of an emergency landing'. At this point, I'd been travelling for half a day from Sydney and had a very long flight home to London... I literally began crying out of sheer desperation and anger. I told her, I NEED to go home. It genuinely felt like she was trying to obstruct me from getting on the plane, and if I was one wrong answer away from being put in a detention zone. She told me to wait while the cabin crew arrived. This woman left me on an airport seat for an hour. When they came she said, oh sorry yeah you're free to board the plane. That was it. Barely any apology! I was extremely upset by how I was treated by Etihad and will be taking matters further. Avoid this airline at all costs.

United Kingdom | 25 May 2024One of the people on the booking had to cancel her fight. It’s been a nightmare trying to get a refund. They originally said 45 days before she received the refund, then when queried stated 45 working days. Still no refund after that period of time and when using online chat they just say they will escalate and wait a few weeks until you contact them again. Do not use Etihad, the flights are no better than budget airlines and the customer service is awful.

United Kingdom | 23 May 2024I paid for my flight, and I had my tickets for my flight to Australia, I got to the Etihad desk and they asked for my credit card, I gave it to them and they said we need the credit card you paid for your flight with. I said I haven't got it, you cannot fly then, I asked for the manager and he said we need your credit card the one you purchased the flight, I said I haven't got it, he said you cannot board until you give us your credit card, I said I can't give you something I haven't got. I said why do you need my credit card he said for security, I said I have been through security with the airport. I have my tickets, I have my Australian visa, I have my passport and credit debit cards with my details on how much more security you need. I was not allowed to board. I asked when the next flight was they were not until the following day, I asked was there any other flights and they said Emirates, I agreed to go with them and they asked me for £3000 I said I have paid you £2100 for the flight you won't let me board, you have to claim that back, I can't give it to you now. It cost me a total of £5100 to travel economy class to Australia! I had to sit on the awful metal chairs in the airport for fifteen hours before I got my flight I am a pensioner and not fit enough this. I collapsed on the Emirates flight from exhaustion! I put my claim in and a few weeks later got a reply saying I would get my refund this was 13th December 2022 and I still have not received it. I have phoned emailed, and used their chat service, I have kept a record of all the emails, phone calls and chats. Every time I contact them they say I will get my refund in a few days, I have waited for over 700 days and still not have received it. Do not TRUST ETIHAD

Spain | 18 May 2024Calidad de los aviones es razonablemente buena. Cogimos 4 vuelos. Fue mejor el Airbus que el Boeing. Con el Boeing cuando el de delante reclinaba el asiento no te quedaba espacio. Tienen bastante entretenimiento. Lo malo es que sufrimos un retraso de 2 horas en uno de los vuelos.

However, upon boarding the aircraft, I was informed that there had been a last-minute change, and I was moved to economy seating instead. Despite my concerns, the cabin staff provided no assistance or alternative solutions, simply stating that I would be refunded upon arrival in Manchester. This experience has left me deeply disappointed in Etihad Airways, not only for the inconvenience caused but also for the lack of customer service and communication throughout the process. As a paying customer, I believe that I am entitled to the services and accommodations that I have paid for, and the airline's failure to deliver on this front is unacceptable. I kindly request that Etihad Airways address this matter promptly and provide a suitable resolution to compensate for the inconvenience and disappointment caused. I hope to receive a response from the airline regarding this issue and look forward to a swift and satisfactory resolution.

Australia | 14 May 2024I would give them zero if I could. Apparently a broken ankle and rehab does not constitute medical grounds for a travel voucher. We are not even asking for money back just the option to rebook when the injury is better. We will never book Etihad ever again!!

Specifically the customer support (email, application) it is horrendous and very disrespectful agents. NEVER AGAIN even though i have been flying with them for more than 10 years, 4 flights a year AT LEAST. So disappointed

Poland | 12 May 2024Sehr schlechte Gesellschaft. Ich bin jetzt am 07 Mai von Phuket nach Abu Dhabi und von Abu Dhabi nach München geflogen. Mit der Familie. Nach Abu Dhabi: wurde mir Essen verweigert weil ich Platz mit 2,5 jährigen Kind getauscht habe - das Kind wollte zum Papa. Ich habe Essen nicht bekommen Trinken auch nicht. Auf Nachfrage wurde mir gebracht und niemand hat sich entschuldigt - nur Vorwurf dass eben Platz getauscht. Ich habe nur Wasser genommen. Crew nicht professionell Versorgung schlecht und auch schlecht geschult. Zweite Flug: mit Essen das Gleiche. Bei allen schon aufgeräumt bei uns noch nicht verteilt. Ich wollte endlich Kaffee- habe ich zur Stewardess das gesagt - also wir haben Essen bekommen danach jedoch wie polizeiliche Ermittlung ich soll mein Name sagen (haben die doch jede muss doch Reisepass vorlegen) dann habe ich nein gesagt - was soll Befragung dann kam Manager und lange Diskussion. Unfreundlich echt so schlechte Service habe ich noch nicht erlebt. Passagiere das ist notwendige Übel. Der Scheich will eine Fluglinie da sollen wir zahlen und Mund halten. Hinnehmen: Unfreundlichkeit und schlechte Management. Nicht zu empfehlen. Also liebe Fluggesellschaft: Note 5 -. Einschüchterungen wenn man Kaffee will? Wer zahlt hier wem und wer ist Kunde und wer ist Leistungserbringer. Nicht zu empfehlen. Mit Emirates nicht zu vergleichen. Nie mehr. Ich habe echt Angst bekommen.

Germany | 10 May 2024Wir sind von München nach Phuket geflogen und auf allen Flügen gab es nichts zum aussetzen. Flüge waren alle pünktlich,das Personal war super freundlich,die Beinfreiheit war toll,auch auf den normalen Sitzen. Essen war auch sehr gut.Der Transitbereich war toll,mega viel Platz und die Wartezeit verging schnell.Ich werde wenn es geht immer Etihad wählen da die Preis Leistung einfach passt.

Austria | 10 May 2024Etihad hat den Flug ohne Ersatz storniert. Zwei Mails blieben unbeantwortet. Der gebuchte Flug Zürich-Tokio retour wird an meinen Daten (um ein paar EUR mehr) immer noch angeboten. Immerhin habe ich nach ein paar Wochen das Geld zurück bekommen. Dafür gibt es einen Stern.
