Good honest service!

They took a while to reply to e-mails (I struggled to organise over the phone due to time differences). But, the communications were clear and the repair was perfect. I'd recommend!

For 9 months I have been trying to have Capital Repairs repair a Caple wine cooler. So far I have paid them pounds: 387.76 and still don’t have a working fridge. After all this time they will not refund my money and are blaming a supplier. A brief synopsis of my experience: April 2021 they came out and told me the fridge needed one new part. I paid 85 pounds plus the call out cost. The part did not arrive until August. The staff in Capital’s repair office were incredibly rude and repeatedly failed to return calls despite promising to get back to me. I was told I should call them myself each week. In August the part came and was fitted, the engineer then told me another part was needed (I had never been warned this might happen). He told me it would only take a few weeks. I paid another pounds 191. Again I was left having to call Capital Repairs to chase the order and was repeatedly told they would call me back. No call came. I was then told the order would not arrive until the Autumn. When October came I was told there was a delay until January. I called in January to be told it had arrived and would be with them within a week. I’m now told the part has not arrived with their supplier. They claim the only way they can contact their supplier is by e-mail. They say they are left waiting on the phone if they call so cannot put pressure on or gain more information. I have tried to be understanding about the current supply issues in the world right now but the way this company treats its customers is a disgrace. Avoid.

Highly recommend! Really professional and went above and beyond to make sure my Range cooker / Oven was in good working order. Jason ( engineer ) was so helpful and explained exactly what the problem was. Would definitely use again *****

Dreadful. What should have been an easy repair on my 3 year old washing machine took almost 2 weeks to resolve. In the end, we couldn’t wait any longer and ordered a new machine from AO (who provided a fabulous, next day service). Wouldn’t go near these guys again. The actual engineer was very helpful, but the office was awful. They also try and charge 40 percent for a part they order on your behalf and then cancel.

This is the most reliable service. The engineer who serviced our AGA was experienced and extremely professional. Highly recommend

Excellent communication and quick response

No problem with fixing my dishwasher-although not difficult repair(rats had chewed though drain hose!)it would have been physically difficult due to weight and size of machine, which had to be worked on after disconnection and upside down! Technician knew what he was doing and was more than competent, repair /new hose fitted in about an hour and working fine afterwards. Suggested agile/thin cat and or poison to eliminate rodents(BUT BE CAREFUL WITH POISON AS IT'S TOXIC TO ANIMALS AND HUMANS!!)

Good service throughout, but unfortunate that in the first instance a faulty replacement part was installed. Now satisfactorily replaced under warranty.

3 stars is the average of 5 stars and 1 star. 5 stars for the effort by Capital Repairs' engineer to solve the problem of my CDA washer/dryer overheating, and his courteous and helpful nature: in the end it seems that the problem might just have been a loose wire (which he would have tightened in his investigations). 1 star for the extremely poor and annoying admin surrounding his call: (1) the promised email the day before to confirm his visit the next day did not materialise (2) when I phoned late on the morning of the scheduled visit to establish if it was still on the call handler was unhelpful, saying that I would have received the confirming email, saying that if I had called earlier in the day I would have had confirmation earlier, saying that any non-appearance of the email would have been a technical matter which was not her responsibility (3) the error code thrown up by my washer/dryer had been wrongly reported to the engineer - F09 (fault 09) instead of ERR09 (error 09), which was apparently significant and meant that he devoted most of his visit looking for the wrong thing (4) it had not been conveyed to the engineer, as I had asked that it would be, that I would have arranged parking for his vehicle outside my property at my expense before his visit, with the outcome that he paid on arrival, meaning that Westminster Council was paid twice for the same parked vehicle.

We just had an extremely rude and abrupt engineer visit to diagnose a minor issue in our AEG dishwasher .I have elderly parents and his manner was not compassionate and downright rude . I will not be using this company ever again !

Capital Repairs have always got me out of a jam. Very reliable and well organised company. All the engineers that have been to me over the years have been well experienced.

I was lucky a nice early start, job done, and all tested by engineer Stuart a great job, showed me the faulty appliance which was replaced. Polite and reassuring of my appliance. Great engineer

Great quick service

Money hungry scammers. I’ve made an appointment to have a filter replaced on a washing machine. I was given an appointment 2 weeks later and the filter was replaced and have paid for the parts and call out fee. The engineer left without testing my washing machine, My washing machine then started leaking on the same afternoon and I’ve phoned the company who said they will bring out the engineer back out. He came and loosened the filter which was stuck and said you have to use a plier to ram it shut. Then hypothesised the leak must have came from hardened detergent in the detergent box. Then the following day get called to pay and additional call out fee as there’s was “new problem” even though they state unlimited call out fee for the same issue”. The engineer clearly must have put his hypothesis (no actual fixing as already resolved itself) but also tightened/loosened filter which is the main issue. Having tried to explain the situation I was shut down and kept being asked pay the additional fee. No chance to explain no chance to speak to a manager. He even refused to speak to the engineer who came out who could confirm everything. All in all, I’ve paid the additional fee knowing that I will never use them again. They rather get that one time fee than provide customer service to get a returning customer. Absolutely disgusting

Rubbish company terrible customer service

I have recently used Capital Repairs as we needed a replacement fridge freezer. Dan the sales manager was so helpful and sorted everything out for us. The two chaps who came to install the integrated fridge were very nice and took our old fridge away for us. Many thanks I would recommend and definitely use the company again.

BEWARE! If they can manage a successful repair, this may be a good service, however, if they deem that something can't be repaired (even when proved wrong) they will charge you anyway... RIP OFF! While a fixed price repair is offered, that is very much not what was delivered for me when I took my kitchen appliance in for repair. Despite claiming to be experts and proclaiming that "we’ll fix it quickly, easily and for a price you can afford", what they actually did was: no work; confirm what I told them when taking the appliance in for repair (that an external part was broken and needed replacing); claimed that a repair was not possible as the part was unavailable, and charged me the full repair fee anyway! After retrieving my appliance, I simply searched online for an original manufacturers replacement part, bought it and fitted it myself. I wish I'd done this in the first place, but I thought the peace of mind handing it over to 'experts' would be better... How wrong I was! After lengthy communications with them, they still refuse to refund the 'repair fee' and refuse to acknowledge that this is a substandard service and poor treatment of a customer. They have offered a token goodwill gesture based on a separate issue of poor service (they told me it was all done and ready for collection, when in fact - nothing had been done!). However I am still substantially out of pocket despite giving them ample opportunity to make amends. Wished I never bothered. AVOID!
