United Kingdom | 05 June 2021The markup Capital changes on parts is close to 100%. For that reason alone I would not use them again. They supplied and fit two burner caps but one was the wrong size. Engineer said "our fault, so keep those - we shall post you the correct size". I then threw away the old ones. Capital then said I had to pay for the replacement cap unless I returned one of the new ones - not what the engineer had said and no longer possible. I shall be ordering the cap myself from the manufacturer!

The runner on the bottom salad tray had come apart and the Capital Repairs' agent used his creativity and skill to repair it. He was professional, friendly, efficient and extremely capable. I would recommend this company to anyone that needs a problem solving!

Second repair man could not fault however customer service a little bit lacking. Four weeks without a fully working cooker not ideal for anybody with a family.

United Kingdom | 27 May 2021Only use this company if you are happy to wait 2 weeks for a repair. My experience of the process is as follows - first appointment booked quickly - no time slots and no communication from engineer so you have to wait all day at home - you will probably need a part and second visit but the part will take 5 days to arrive and you will have no communication about status - if the part is less than £50 it will be ordered automatically (good) but you won't be told so you will still wait for a call (bad) - you cannot book an appointment while part is on order, only when it arrives - no option for express delivery - if you call you may be offered a 'reservation' rather than a booking, this is a nonsense term to get you off the phone. You don't have a booking. - no-one will call you, if you chase they will answer the calls, but it is pointless because they have no information to share and can only follow the process - if you complain about the lack of communication you will be told how great capital repairs are - when the part arrives you will get an engineer visit booked a week later - again no time slot so wait at home all day - after two weeks in total you will have a working appliance All of this could be improved by some simple communication. Even better would be if they used an express parts delivery service. The rest of the world seems to be on next day delivery.

He was particularly helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks - we will be sure to use you guys in the future. Happy to give this review.

United Kingdom | 24 May 2021Do NOT use Capital Repairs. I received an appalling service. One of their tradesmen came to repair my washing machine on 4th January 2021. He spent a lot of time faffing around claiming he couldn't pull out my integrated machine. I later easily pulled it out on my own. He then flooded my kitchen by draining the washing machine without using a bucket or any towels to mop up the excess water. This caused damage to my kitchen. My washing machine was left unrepaired and I was charged for the tradesman’s time. I called Capital Repairs and emailed over photos of the damage caused to my kitchen . Four months on and over 10 follow up calls and Capital Repairs have still not made contact to readdress my complaint.

Engineer turned up at a random time when I was out and left. Now they are charging a further call out. What was I supposed to do? Stay inside waiting all day?

United Kingdom | 17 May 2021Had a 7 year old Wine Fridge which had stopped cooling. The manufacturer would not service it, but referred us to Capital. After an initial visit and assessment, I was told that it needed new parts and refilling with cooling liquid. Parts were ordered, engineer turned up and fixed it. Unfortunately,stopped working again a week later, but a quick call confirmed that all work was guaranteed, no questions asked. Took 2 more visits to finally detect that there was a leak in one of the pipes which was well hidden. Very impressed with the follow up and the no quibbling (contrasts massively to a recent experience with Siemens). Thoroughly recommend

Booking is done over the phone with someone who is always friendly snd helpful, all three engineers phoned ahead with their estimated time of arrival, all three were polite and efficient. My 54 month old kenwood A rated washing machines baring made the spin cycle sound like a plane taking off. I stripped it down and the baring has serious play in it. Phone capital up and not only were they very helpful with advice as to how best fix it. I ordered a new rear drum housing and baring complete and it came the next morning and reassembled and worked beautifully. Traditional old style service a breath of fresh air. Thanks Ronnie Baron

Sometimes the phone is not picked up and left to ring which can be frustrating. However once you get through the team are very helpful and knowledgeable.
