Was trying to replace a 45 year old electric eye level grill element. Having no luck until I came upon Capital Spares in Rayners Lane. Dipak in their Aladins cave of spares could not have been more helpful and after a very short time found and tested a compatible element for me. 5 star service.

Marcel came to fix our electrolux dishwasher and he was a really excellent engineer who went above and beyond, even giving us tips about how to keep all our other appliances in good working order! He obviously enjoys his job and is good at it. He came to inspect, identified the problem and ordered the part, then came back just over a week later to fit the part. We now have a happy, working dishwasher! Would definitely recommend Marcel and capital repairs, who called to offer us an earlier appointment when they had a cancellation in our area, but we couldn't take it as we were all out at work that day. But good customer service.

I asked Caple - the manufacturer of our range cooker - for advice regarding my concern that one of the rotary switches for the electric oven had become ‘wobbly’ with use over time. They recommended that since the cooker was both electric and gas fed, that I should engage a Gas Safe registered firm (good advice). Caple’s Customer team checked my postcode and suggested that my local accredited Caple repair engineers are Capital Repairs and so I booked in a visit for a fixed fee. On the day, Stuart the engineer kept me informed as to his vicinity and arrival time, even arriving early. He listened for any additional information, checked the operation and after explaining what he intended to do - he quickly and efficiently got the the problem (loose screws behind the fascia), secured the one rotary switched, checked the others and put the whole lot back together. He even reset the clock. All-in-all, a very smooth operation from start to finish. Everyone involved was polite, responsive and professional. I couldn’t have asked for better.

A truly terrible experience. The original price was misquoted on the phone, the engineer came out and didn't bother to wait and see if the problem was fixed (it wasn't) so although he came again he completely misdiagnosed the problem which seemed to be totally based on guess work. When I then called a few days later to check prices and timings for the new part he said I needed (which would have been pointless and a complete waste of time and money anyway) the person I spoke to was unbelievably rude and refused to provide any clarity around pricing or timing. Having not followed up after this or provided any further information they then extremely aggressively chased me for full payment of the call out charge. I ended up going elsewhere to have the problem diagnosed (completely different to what Capital Repairs said) and fixed so ended up paying twice. I would seriously avoid using this company.

Jason came to see my dodgy dishwasher. Friendly and chatty he had it sorted and saved me from a £300 purchase of a new machine. Glad to report it's all almost as good as new. Very satisfied.

Capital Repairs purchased and installed new hob and oven but left the worktop in utter disarray - very poorly sealed. I now have to repair the entire worktop. When I complained they offered to replace hob for additional £550 (after I already bought a new one from them). Avoid this company! They want business at any cost even if they are not able to do the job! Very poor quality!

I bought a beautiful range cooker from Ebay that - despite being described as in 'excellent condition' did. not. work. Capital repairs saved the entire situation. My journey with them started badly. The first guy they sent - Andrew -was dire: rude, arrogant, unhelpful and actually managed to make the situation worse but mucking up the wiring. He came twice, told me I'd bought a pup and that he was an alpha male, then we requested not to have him back. Capital then sent their senior oven engineer Gary who was great - knowledgeable, positive and helpful. The (many) repeat visits that I required while their senior engineer diagnosed the many different faults, awaited parts, fitted parts, and - at one point requested a wiring diagram from the manufacturers - were organised efficiently and smoothly. The diagnosis and repairs took several call outs and re-visits however as Capital repairs only change for the first callout and keep coming back until the item is working properly/ fixed and the customer is happy this was far less painful that it could have been. In large part this was because the women I spoke to on the service desks each time were unfailingly polite, cheery, helpful and efficient. they made a potentially stressful situation as smooth and anxiety free as possible with their reassuring and calm approach. They could always see what was happening, what was being waited on and what needed chasing. In short, I now have the oven of my dreams and I know that if I ever have any other issues with a household appliance I will be calling Capital Repairs again. I would have given them 5 stars but for Andrew... However Gary and the rest of the team did a great job for us and I'm grateful to them for their wonderful, all-round service - Thanks gang.

Very bad experience with the customer service Rabindra from this company. Had a repair for the extractor last month and they ordered the faulty product from the manufacturer. I have to call them every week for an update for a month still no update. Now I have doubt if they actually ordered the product since Mr Rabindra couldn't give me the info about the part details they ordered. He is very elusive and not helpful at all.

Gary the engineer was outstanding. What was meant to be a regular Range installation turned out to be a lot more complicated due to faulty pipes found behind the old cooker. Gary worked tirelessly to ensure everything was perfect and he was superb. Amazing job, thank you so much.
