I have called multiple times and spoke to multiple representatives and still have not gotten a response or resolution! When I originally called about having Windows installed (I was told that I would receive a $500 Certificate for doing the estimate appointment on Saturday, September 30, 2023. I met with my sales representative Daniel Taylor, who by the way was AWESOME, however, I did not get the $500 Certificate that I was promised. I did however make a purchase of 4 Windows (only because Daniel Taylor was an Awesome Guy and his presentation was phenomenal)! I have called several times to inquire about the certificate but I have yet to receive a call from anyone! This is not Good Business Practice and I am very disappointed. Over all, a great experience. All the personnel associated with the company were excellent ... knowledgeable, personable. Scheduling was very smooth. The installer was efficient and very helpful. The only minor downside was a bit of pressure to sign immediately which doesn't encourage the natural desire for an independent cost comparison. However, the price was within the range of other suppliers. I had checked with 2 other companies. The first wouldn't even give an estimate because I had only 2 windows to be replaced. The second gave me a estimate over the phone without even seeing the work that needed to be done. Consequently, UWD really wanted the business, and the price was within the expected range. I would certainly recommend that UWD be among the companies that one considers. I would again.

Just got the rest of my windows done. I split the house in two jobs to make it easier to pay off. Universal Windows from start to finish in all aspects were great. Definitely will use them again any day. Installers are so professional you don’t find a company like this one anymore. Thank you to everyone! And always, “I love my windows”😜

Jake Frantz was the salesman. He was professional, thorough and explained the products well!! The install team was exceptional!! John Baker #2 was the crew leader. They were on time. They answered my questions. The install was great!! They cleaned up well! I am very pleased with my new windows!!

Universal Windows - what can I say? Price: reasonable Sales Agent: knowledgeable, friendly, down-to-earth. We felt very comfortable with having him share his knowledge with us. Communication: We were contacted as soon as our product was ready. Even when we had to reschedule the install it was no problem. Installation: Really good. The installers were friendly, fast and knowledgeable. They were able to find an issue we may have with a section of our gutters we wouldn’t have known about prior to the installation. Overall: We are pleased with the entire process. We will recommend Universal Windows to everyone we know.

From beginning to end we have had a great experience from sales to installation. The installer were fast and efficient. No issues there. On the other side dealing with production, there was alot of adhesive left on the windows and took a lot of time trying to scrub the adhesive off. I suggest before delivering the windows they should clean off all the adhesive.

I recommend you do not do business with this company. Salesperson gave false information as to whether the window would match existing windows. When measuring person advised frames would not match, called to cancel and got no response and when I was able to contact someone they advised me the window was in production and would therefore incur a 75% cancellation fee. I cancelled the installation and received a $550 dollar refund on a $2300 window They do not return calls, I had to personally go to their St Louis office to inquire about the window. Their salesperson Jacob Richardson gave false information regarding the frame being consistent with existing frames and their production manager Kim Cancello was unresponsive and unwilling to address my concerns. I called within 7 days of my finding out the frame would not match my array of 12 windows and was responded to with "Nothing we can do" even though they did not return my calls within the cancellation period. In fact the measuring person, the only forthright person in the entire transaction, did not arrive for measurement until 6 days after the contract was entered into. The window with the non matching frame was not scheduled for installation for 10-12 weeks after contract was signed. My concern was that one window in a twelve window array would negatively impact the value of my home. this is a buyer beware company. I refused the installation after seeing how completely different the frame was from my existing windows This company has no customer service focus and I would recommend dealing with a different company. My current option is to take Universal Windows to Small Claims Court to obtain satisfaction. Again, buyer beware!

Over all very good. Window order arrived early, one down side is that you basically have ten days to schedule the install. Install crew was meticulous and very efficient. They did call to let me know their arrival time.

Both installers were friendly courteous and professional. They took the time to protect our floors and cleaned up when the windows were installed. We were given instructions not to clean or reapply our window treatments for 24 hours and we will follow their directions. We would definitely use Universal Windows direct if we need windows in the future.

To start off with, I will say the price of the windows ( for a lifetime warranty) was a great deal. The installation didn't take that long and the workers completed the job in 1 day doing 10 windows. They cleaned up and didn't leave a trace of them being there. That's the good part. The bad part happened about 4 months after installation. The caulking cracked and pulled away and while cleaning the windows for the first time in the spring I noticed the main frame on one window was damaged. I contacted my sales person and they directed me to the customer support to get these issues fixed. A worker came out pretty fast, took photos and measurements for the main frame and sent out to get the repairs started. Then I had to wait from June 30th until Sept 12th to see them come out again. I left work early to accommodate the work crew with the main frame installation. However, the worker measured the old window and mainframe that took months to build and said if he installed it I wouldn't be able to open the window, because it was the wrong size. So he took more pictures and measurements and sent those to the office. He did redo the caulking on windows that was failing (that looks better now, lets hope it stays that way). Now i wait for another main frame for my windows. This warranty which is the main reason I went with Universal Windows Direct seems to be lacking and is making me second guess my decision to go with this company. I would be careful about using them because of this issue I am currently having. It makes me worry if there is ever a real issue how long it will take to resolve correctly. I will say that if this is fixed in a timely manner I may alter this review, but until that happens I can not in good faith say that universal windows direct is the best company for your whole house window renovations. 10/30/2023 Still have not heard about the warranty. Totally would not recommend!

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!! We met with the sales person, who sat in our kitchen and lied to us from the beginning. This will be a 1 day job, forgot about the 3 years to get to the one day. It was over 3 years for them to complete the job. All are crews work for us they said, not contracted. Lie #2. None of the crews work for them other than contract, one crew had only worked for them for 2 weeks. Day 1, they showed up without the sliding glass door and didn't know where it was. Finally found it under some other name. Showed up at leased 8 times and the crews didn't even know why they were there and when informed said they didn't have the parts they needed and would have to come back. Each time was a 2-4 hour window that you had to wait on them and not go to work yourself. The crew day 1 dropped a window on the corner and damages the frame and screen and installed it and didn't say anything about it, we found it later that day. Took them over 6 months and 2 different times to replace the window and the guys didn't even have the screen to replace and had to come back again. They installed the sliding window without shimming them and they sagged and had to be fixed with another visit. They have had to replace multiple screens on new window that were installed wrong and coming apart. They finally sent a trouble shooter out because we had so many problems and he was saying he never seen a job like this and wrote down all this info, that never was given to anyone and no one knew anything about it. He got promoted and know knows what happened to his notes. Any time you try to get ahold of anyone you are on hold forever and never get anyone, they have a nice leave a message that no one calls you back. They are problem tired of hearing all the complaints. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! Oh, they did offer us $400 off a $16,000 job.

UWD people were very professional and responsive. The installation team did a great job of installing 10 windows and 1 sliding door. We were pleased with their high quality workmanship and the good job of cleaning up after installation was complete. Gret job by all UWD people who interacted with us!

Efficient and helpful to understand the features of the windows. They also did a great job cleaning up after.

Worst experience with a business in my entire life. 1) doors and windows were measured wrong and wrong sizes arrived at time of install. The guy that came to measure flipped the measurements length and width. And the crew showed up to install a 6ft tall sliding door. 2) when several months later we finally got the correct doors… they were installed without a pan and let dirt in underneath them. Screens fall off doors when you close them. 3) different crew comes back a fourth time to reinstall doors. They are now installed correctly but do not slide at all. 4) customer service has been horrible. No follow up, no one will answer the phone, everyone directs you to someone else. Horrible product. Sliding windows and sliding doors are extremely difficult to open. Screen falls off every time you open it, it was not made correctly. Doors and windows feel cheap and flimsy and do not function.

Salesman excellent. Really worked with my limited schedule. Other then that service not good. Office not telling the truth regarding building permit windows and doors in process. When windows put in contractors polite and quick. Left glass in kitchen sink and at the front door.

I set an alarm to get up as the technician was supposed to be there between 8-10. He got here at 11. That being said he did a good job once here. However, on to the door. It is installed and seems fine, but I am going to have to take another day off work to have the job completed. White painted wood was sent with him instead of what it was supposed to be. I feel there should be some sort of compensation for this as there is no fault on my part
