Customer service was always kind and friendly but the entire process is ridiculously long. We’re 2 1/2 weeks into it and I still don’t have the check. If you’ve bought a house before, it’s basically the same drawn out process except you’re only buying a $30k boat. Had I known it would take this long, I would have gone through somewhere else. Our paperwork also needed corrected 3 different times because it had the incorrect information on it, causing delays. Personally, I’d use another finance company.

I found myself in a pickle with a boat I no longer liked and wanted to get a new one while deals weee good before spring. SEF was the only lender that wanted to work with me that would allow me to buy now and sell later. Previously I had a Ch. 7 bankruptcy due to self employment during covid-19 shutdowns in 2020 so finding a lender is challenging. Not only did they find options, but the level of communication was par to none. Different kind of lending, and higher rates, however they still allow you to move forward and treat you with dignity.

The process is a little long. Most horse trailers will not wait that long for financing. Other than that it was great.
