Went to Bents yesterday. The place is beautiful with all the Christmas decorations and thats where to good ends. The prices are MASSIVELY hiked and in some cases double that of other places. An unlit twig christmas tree made of plastic should not cost £109. Its cheaper in Harrods. The cafe prices are set as if it is a high end restaurant serving microwave pizza. Value for money extremely low.

Had a lovely afternoon tea in a lakeside pod today with my parents. The 2 ladies who served us looked after our every need - being attentive but not intrusive and could not have made our experience better. They were bright and cheery despite the horrible weather they were working in. The food was lovely and fresh and a great selection. Could just do with the zips being fixed on the door as both broken and was drafty on a cold wet day. However, we were given the option to move and given blankets which helped.

Fabulous place especially at Christmas. My only complaint is the price of the food and something on the children's menu. Absolute rip off the charged over £6 for a small pizza which was not made fresh and clearly a bought in one which costs less than 99p from Iceland. Even my grandson wouldn’t eat it !! Place far too busy to complain to anyone at the time.

We were in the area visiting family and in some spare time we popped into Bents. It is a fantastic store. The Christmas section is massive and has a great selection and the displays are fantastic. We had a good look around and purchased a couple of items, the cashier was pleasant and helpful. When we returned home we were looking for a new Christmas tree, I remembered seeing one at Bents and was pleased to see that Bents had a website, I placed an order and the tree was delivered a day later. I cannot fault my experience with Bents, unfortunately we live 200 miles away but will definitely visit again the next time we are in the area.

Great service from a new company for me. I ordered a pre-lit and decorated artificial Christmas wreath from Bents, after much online research. The item exceeded my expectations: it is well made on a metal frame and looks really nice lit and unlit. The wreath is beautifully decorated too, with berries and frosted pine cones. It came well packed. I am very pleased with my purchase and the service from Bents.

Experience in the shopping area deserved 4 stars just for the layout, festive village is excellent just a little expensive, I really think your staff need to smile more lol its Christmas after all! We normally steer clear from the restaurant as service is always poor, slow, miserable staff, no one smiles, no one cares, think this probably needs to improve as I know a few people stay away from bents because of this. We go back though time and time again and treat ourselves to a couple of Christmas gifts. Overall, it's 4 stars but staff is always a let-down at bents, most staff on the tills one i cannot remember her name is unreal, so polite and makes you feel welcome but others, well, will visit again, don't let this put you off though as other parts of bents are incredible!

Ordered a click and collect before leaving Bedfordshire. Promptly ready at collection point. Had a wander thru garden centre. Beautiful displays. Bought plants which are healthy and reasonably priced. Took our Cavalier KC to Pets centre for light lunch. Clean exc etc. Can't fault store. Fab!

Visited the Xmas preview event with my daughter. We were greeted by lovely friendly staff on our arrival. Fantastic festive atmosphere, the Xmas displays are amazing. Would highly recommended a visit.

I took my Mum for Lunch at bents we have not been for a while. We normally have a great experience but on the 30th of September was a horrible experience I don’t want to experience again. What’s gone wrong service was chaotic and ordering system slow. Some things you have to order at the till and some you have to collect from the hot plate. We was not told this and the table had no number on. Once we eventually ordered after a dreadful experience at the till point too much cash was tendered and caused so much confusion it took 10 mins to get the transaction refunded and process correctly so I could pay the remaining balance on my debit card. The woman on the till had to find someone who could do the refund. The staff seem so inexperienced. When the food that came was not the usual standard and after the experience at the ordering point and till I was not In a mood to enjoy the food. I was still so worked up I went to the customer service desk and explained I was unhappy the very helpful staff manning the desk rang for the fresh approach manager to come to see me. The manger was not really Interested and just blamed it on the host? I was offered 2 cakes just to get rid of me she walked us to the cake counter and shouted to a staff member to let us choose 2 cakes then walked off. We will never go to your fresh approach cafe again after this experience. Worst experience after 15 years of coming to your garden centre. New bank is far superior for food and service.

Excellent service ordered the Tower Express Pro Combo the night before and was here the next day. Searched all over the internet and found one at Bents Garden and Home. All sold out everywhere else. Highly recommend their service. Thank you for the Bents Teddy Bear.

I booked the Christmas high tea event for my daughter and I. Very disappointed as we had to wait over 40 minutes for our food to arrive and in that time asked a couple of times what was the delay. No answer and when eventually the food arrived it was not to Bent’s standards. No clotted cream for the scones which were not fresh. My daughter had to go up and ask for cream as we did not want to wait any longer. I felt sorry for the servers as they tried to help customers, but with no food coming out the kitchen we had no choice but to wait. Very poor quality and service, so very disappointing as we very looking forward to this event.

Christmas preview event, Not worth the £30 for the experience at all. This is the second year I attended this event. The first year was extremely busy and I wasn’t overly impressed with the organization. To accommodate this we arrived a little early this year. On arrival at 6:40 we were told to head for food at 6:55. I noticed how much quieter it was this year so I felt relived that it might go smoother and a more calm experience. Unfortunately when we queued up for our “high tea” we found out our allocated table had been given away and they would now have to find somewhere for our party to sit. We waited about 10 mins whilst they continued to sit people queuing behind us at their tables. These groups also had the same number of people so we had no idea why they couldn’t have sat us at a table instead of a longer wait. Also there were MANY tables available with no one sat at or even allocated to people for the duration. We sat and had pots of tea given. We then Watched every table around us (also seated after us) brought their food. 45mins later I’d had enough and asked where our food was. They had no clue, working on a basis of a spread sheet clearly of what each table needed but Alas as we had no actual table allocated they had no clue we needed food!! Well if I hadn’t said anything we wouldn’t have got any. So far not impressed at all. It took that long by the time we had eaten approx 15mins as we rushed our food and took the remaining in a box home just so we could actually look around! The store closed at 9pm we finished our food at 8pm leaving us with very little time to Look around and enjoy the evening. The high tea was substandard with not enough to go around all of us. My mum asked for a simple glass of water and was met with a blank face like she spoke an alien language and asking for water was totally not expected or even allowed ?! Will not be spending my money on this again it just isn’t worth it. It was supposed to be a nice treat for us mums to get out and we all love Christmas but we will have to find Christmas cheer elsewhere.

Ease of booking and arrival was great. Cheerfully greeted by Hayley and staff, provided with our gift and enjoyed browsing in a quiet store. However at 7pm when we went for our festive tea, things changed. We waited 45 minutes for food to be served or to be offered a drink - as did everyone else around us. Some people even walked out without eating due to extensive delays. When the food arrived, it was sparse and in no comparison in quality to the previous years or worth the cost. Bizarrely, the sandwiches were not placed on the afternoon tea stand but on a separate plate too which spoilt the appearance further. We had to repeatedly ask for drinks, milk and the staff seemed to have no idea what was happening. I find it hard to understand what was difficult when all guests were eating the same food, planned at the same time and numbers were pre organised. A very disappointing experience for the cost.

I ordered a Tower 10 in 1 Air Fryer on the 3rd October and it was delivered by the Wednesday by DPD. Excellent communication throughout. Would recommend this company and will certainly use them again.
