United Kingdom | 10 December 2016Finally updated my old planer to a Dewalt, got it today and straight away hanging doors. Dream to use particularly with the 0.1mm depth setting, make easy works of reducing oak doors. First time purchaser from Tool-Net, product came as described with no fuss. Contacted Custumer Services by email to get a delivery date and had a reply within the hour. I will be using Tool-Net again and also will recommend to family and friends.

United Kingdom | 09 December 2016Ordered a Bosch 240V drill, 1 week after order they called me saying the site price was wrong and I owed them more money, so I paid the extra still knowing it was a good deal.. 3 weeks on with many emails and calls to them with no replies back I get my drill. Open it to find it was the wrong size a 110V after waiting almost 4weeks. Now I am back to square 1 waiting on my drill...... shocking customer service. Would not use again! Order number - 570005 It will be getting picked up Monday. But then when will my correct item come? I cant be waiting 3weeks again. Thanks

United Kingdom | 07 December 2016Assured goods would be delivered 3-5 days, 36 days later goods not delivered, but when querying the delay I receive emails alternating between which item is not in stock. Waste of time and effort ordering with this company.

United Kingdom | 06 December 2016Made the mistake of ordering a motorcycle workshop lift from the Tool-Net website. Was very quickly informed of extra shipping charge which although seemed excessive at £78 I paid straight away. I used this company as the item appeared to be in stock and wanted the item asap. Six days later I have heard nothing more from them so thought I had better give them a call. What you need to know at this point is they NEVER answer the phone, talking directly to customers appears to be something that this company avoid. I then emailed to find out what was going on. In fairness I got a quick response to that. I was given some cock and bull story regarding quality control issues at the factory and they should receive stock in about one week. Why didn't they tell me that when the order was placed? At this point I cancelled the order and was told refunds take 3 to 5 days to process! Why is that? Presumably to assist Tool-Net with their cash flow! Six days later no sign of my refund, no surprises there! I then emailed again and received my refund after a couple of days. They did send me a link offering 5% discount on my next purchase, not something I plan on using in this lifetime!

United Kingdom | 03 December 2016Just one small gripe, I ordered on a Friday evening, I didn't expect any progress until Monday, but I did expect my order to be despatched on Monday am. But I suppose it's a busy time of year for internet companies. Everything else was spot on, much cheaper than machine mart for what I ordered, good coms and well packaged, I will definately use toolnet again and recommend it others.

United Kingdom | 02 December 2016Tool Net are becoming my one stop shop for most tools. Incredible range on offer with a great range of prices to suit all pockets. Really good value for money and delivery is always fast. I have noticed that the range is always expanding which is fantastic to see. Well done all at Tool-Net keep up the great work.

United Kingdom | 01 December 2016Short version - Sat waiting for a router table to arrive after purchasing on line. Apparently excess delivery charge to pay - Was I contacted for payment? No - Money taken, no indication of further payment required and wasted over a week waiting for goods that were never going to arrive. When I contacted asking where my goods were apparently it was my place to ask about the carriage. I should have given these a wide birth when signing up to use the site, that took numerous attempts. Then the sign up to news letter that promised free delivery only to find that there is nowhere to use the code on check out. Their prices may well be very competitive, but by the time you have wasted your valuable time you will have wished that you used any one of the excellent well established merchants that have excellent systems. Need further proof to avoid, google and read the many accounts to be found on any of the professional trades people forums. Nothing in Junk mail and just had my server company run a trace on all mail on my account and nothing - and the contact the day after that you mention was me asking why there was no way of redeeming the delivery charge that was apparently being waived as part of signing up to e-mails.

United Kingdom | 01 December 2016I bought a Leaf Blower from tool-net which on receipt I couldn't get started, the instructions were hopeless and after 30 minutes of trying I gave up. I tried to call them to find they don't take calls and only deal with issues by email. Through email they directed me to their supplier to deal with the return. After chasing several times for my refund I was then told there was nothing wrong with the product and that I would have to pay an admin fee and the carriage. After much trying I eventually talked to Nick Brady, the manager of Tool-Net. He told me it was my issue I couldn't start the product and Genpower had no problems therefore I had to pay for the return. On asking to talk to a Director I was told Tool-net Directors don't talk to customers it was customer policy. After debating the issue with Nick for 30 minutes we had to agree to resolve the issue through Pay Pal. My bad luck to have ever come across this company and I would advise you steer well clear there are other suppliers of the same product who will deal with you if you have an issue rather than hand you off and try and wear you down. I have noted Tool-Nets response which just keeps up the excuses. Although they have agreed they believe the product wouldn't start at my location and the instructions aren't great they have basically said this is my fault and therefore I have to foot the cost of the return. They appear to think that a petrol blower that won't start is not faulty. Having also been flatly refused access to speak to a Director for anyone else who is having the same issue the Directors and Owners are Helen and Andrew Gregory who can be found at ETM consulting if you search for this on the internet. Further update tonight. The manager of Tool-Net reviewed all the correspondence between me and then and has kindly now offered me a full refund. He did this off his own back today and called me personally to go through what he had down and inform me of his decision. This has restored my faith in this business as he could have left Paypal to resolve the issue. Thanks to Tool_net for now sorting this out for me.

United Kingdom | 27 November 2016I searched many different websites looking for the cheapest place to buy a twin set of Makita drills and tool-net.co.uk seemed by far the best value. The order arrived quickly and everything was correct with it. I felt there had been good communication from tool-net with them notifying me of any changes to the order.

United Kingdom | 25 November 2016I found a tin of Ronseal Trade Varnish on their site. It's a discontinued product, so I knew it would be stock that was over a year old...but sealed varnish doesn't deteriorate so I was happy with that. Turns out that they didn't have any....and they hadn't kept their website up to date. They were happy enough to let me swap....but the alternatives were all cheaper elsewhere...and they refused to price match. So they agreed to refund me. I had to send 3 emails asking for a refund before I got one. They wouldn't do any one over I don't think....but they are not empathetic, and unresponsive once you've paid your money.

United Kingdom | 24 November 2016I have purchased a Hyundai HYB60 leaf blower. It has been delivered today as promised and I set it up and started to use it within the hour. I have used Stihl before and this was easily compatible. It was easier to start and appears lighter to carry on my back. It didn't use much fuel at all but you need to be careful to replace the fuel cap properly as with other makes. I have been really satisfied already that it will be a good purchase. This was the cheapest deal on the net for the same model. I certainly would not have purchased the equivalent Stihl product because for 3 times the price you get no better a use. The back up of a 2 year warranty makes this a sensible and affordable buy. Highly recommended for sure. Thanks!

United Kingdom | 24 November 2016Great choice of items and a great speedy service, what more could you ask?. Ok free everything!!

United Kingdom | 23 November 2016I ordered several Sealey branded items from tool-net after spending some time searching to find the cheapest supplier on the internet. Tool-net came up with the best price for all of these items. Delivery charges were reasonable and the well packed parcel arrived within the advertised time frame. The items were exactly as described and arrived in good condition. I don't really think you can ask for any better service than that! Item 1: Slide hammer gear/bearing puller set. This is an excellent piece of kit if you need to pull a gear or bearing from a shaft but cant press onto the end of the shaft. The puller attaches like a standard 3 or 2 leg puller, then you slide a 3kg weight down a rod pointing away from the gear/bearing. The impact when the weight hits the end stop is transmitted to the part to be removed and after a few blows is pulled clear of the end of the shaft. Item 2: Bench mounted Parts Washer. Just fill the tank with fluid, plug in and switch on. The fluid is pumped out of a flexible pipe which can be positioned as convenient. Really useful and make easy work of cleaning engine components etc. Even better using... Item 3: Brush to fit parts washer outlet. Just a brush on a hose which attaches to the fluid outlet, but really worth having.
