Found item i needed cheaper than other tool suppliers, delivery was quick, would definitely use again

easy to use website with checkout, a vast selection off tools and offers and good customer services, albeit there easier to contact through the web rather than calling. all items came well packed and secure.

The strangest and most complicated ordering system I've ever come across. Postage. You add your items to your basket then have 3 postage options, (one is irrelevant if you live outside of the UK) which then leaves you 2. One for 1 parcel under 30kg & the other for 1 parcel over 30kg. I have no idea how much my delivery will weigh or how many parcels it will be. I checked out using option one, 1 parcel under 30kg, for £6.99. I then received an email saying my postage would be more as it will be more than 1 parcel, therefore I need to pay an additional payment of £5.39. I requested a PayPal request for this amount, but what I dont understand is the delivery total amount was different to anybody the delivery options available to me at the time. Meaning I couldn't have chosen that postage option myself. Why not make that an option at check out? Why is postage not calculated at the time of checkout ? like 99.9% of online retailers. I contacted customer services to share my frustrations, who never responded. It then took around 3 days for my order to be dispatched. People are busy expect items delivered at a lot quicker in 2016. Overall a bad and frustrating experience.

Ordered petrol hedge trimmer that was claimed to be in stock when it wasn't! This delayed delivery until fresh stock arrived with them, meaning goods arrived a week later than originally expected. A pity about the above because a good price.

I haven't shopped like this before online. Usually I shop, the site adds on the delivery cost, I pay and then I wait for my goods. Tool-net gives you a delivery option based on size and weight (would have been handy if their goods were advertised with the size and weight - they are not). So I was a little surprised to get an email telling me I hadn't paid enough postage and to send them another £5.38. I did understand their conditions before I purchased but was ordering 3 items and had to find their weights from other websites (incorrectly as it appeared). All that said, the final delivery price was still reasonable, the goods were the cheapest I could find anywhere. The products were packaged well and arrived in good time and were exactly as described. Customer service was pleasant and prompt both by phone and email. Overall I am very pleased and providing you make reasonable adjustment for potential delivery excess I found Tool-net to be very competitive and will definitely purchase from them again.

This is the first time I have dealt with Tool-Net and so far I'm very impressed. Firstly they offered the cheapest price for the Chainsaw I am buying anywhere on the web that I could find, and despite my over zealous use of discount voucher codes that caused them some confusion, the customer service team sorted it out in a very professional, fair and friendly manner.
