The checkout process was straightforward and the delivery options were as expected - pay more to get the items more quickly, pay less if you're in no hurry. I opted for standard delivery and was pleasantly surprised when I received the parcel a few days later. Just bought a dowel jig and some sash clamps. The cost was around half that advertised for the identical product on Amazon. Delivery was next day, one of the sash clamps was damaged in transit (pull your socks up UKMail), Tool-net immediately sent out a replacement. Can't ask for more than that.

I placed a substantial order for a Triton workcentre and accessories but was slightly concerned that communication around the delivery charges etc was not all it could have been and this had similarities with some of the poor reviews I subsequently came across. Needn't have worried though as the complete order arrived exactly as promised. The prices were the best I could find. So all in all very pleased with my purchase and I am very happy to recommend the supplier. Would have been five star rating except for the issues at the beginning.

What a pleasant surprise dealing with Tool-net. The website is very easy to navigate around with a huge choice of items. What I particularly liked about Tool-net was the customer service department, I had to add an extra tub of fence paint to my order after I had originally finished and paid for it all as I realised I hadn't quite ordered enough. I decided to call back to Tool-net and ask if I can just add something to my order to save on postage. I spoke to a lovely lady called April and it was all sorted with minimal effort on my part. No long waiting on the phone, no getting passed from department to department, just got straight through to a lovely, polite and efficient lady. All in all a great shopping experience that I will be doing again very soon

Ordered a level and disc cutter, ticked only delivery box option suitibleand assumed all ok, had phonecall to say items were over volume for option selected so had to pay more, feel this should be highlighted when delivery selected, not after order placed. other than that, all arrived as expected and products as described.

Invoice 474969 On the whole a good company to deal with, often with very competitive prices, just let down by sometimes not having an item available for delivery when website said it was in stock, and by having relatively slow delivery. If, like some other tool websites, they could provide next day and even free delivery, they would get a lot more of my custom!

Invoice 537582 There are several problems I had with this company when bought a Dustex 25, mainly to do with their computer system. First problem was with the Free Delivery voucher. This offer appeared on the screen and gave me free delivery on my first order if I subscribed to their newsletter. I filled in my details and got a 6 digit code. When I came to checkout there was no obvious place to put this so I had to delay the purchase until I'd talked to Toolnet. It seems I had to place this number in the search box then I got a voucher in my basket. How on earth was I suppose to deduce this. I suggest the instruction to retrieve the voucher should be be on the same form as the voucher number. Having sorted this I ordered my vac and paid with Paypal. All ok, I thought, until I reviewed my order in my account where there was no order to be seen. So back on the phone to be told that Paypal had created another account. So now I have two accounts which is far from ideal. Something needs sorting with your computer to prevent this. I have now ordered my vac and I think I've got free delivery as it's under 30kg and less than 1.4m. Not so it seems and this is the bizarre action that I feel is false representation bordering on fraud. It seems that this item has fallen into the next carriage category due to it's volumetric weight. There is no mention of what this constitutes on the web site. It seems to me an arbitrary amount plucked out of the sky. There is no way a customer should pay for something only to have the price changed at a later date. The cost of volumetric carriage should be quoted at checkout. I wanted to cancel my order when I was asked to pay another £17 approx plus vat. I ended up with a compromise of paying £6.99 +vat. Had I known about this ridiculous practice I would never bought from them. The last comment is about the phone system. I find it frustrating that when I ring if the call is not answered within 2-3 mins I get a recorded announcement telling me to email. You need a better queueing system with time related waiting time announcements. PS There delivery times of 3-5 days is hardly the speed of a quality internet company when so many other companies offer next day delivery.
