After looking around the internet for a Mig Welder I decided to buy a Clarke MIG150EN welder from Tool-net.co.uk - they offered this product at the cheapest price (much better than Machinemart) a nd also very reasonable delivery (£6.99). Item arrived within 2 days so very happy. Also they kept me informed what was happening at each stage of the purchase, when let me know when the item was despatched and also what day and time it would be delivered, so 10 out of 10 for communication. Looking at some recent reviews I am absolutely amazed that overseas customers are reporting a fast delivery window. I ordered and paid from Tool-Net eight days ago. It took them over three days to 'process payment', unbelievable considering that I paid using PayPal which is an instant transfer. Since then my order has been in 'the warehouse'. Maybe someone has forgotten where they put it? This isn't the first time that this has happened. The last time I was in this situation I had to chase up my order and I was told that two items were out of stock. All items that I ordered were shown as 'in stock'. I am assuming that the excuse for the current order will be the same. Anyway, why not notify me!? All in all I am finding business with these people extremely frustrating and stressful. If you are a sole trader like me and rely on essential consumables to be at hand then my advice is (unfortunately) pay more and use guaranteed delivery dates. Many sites offer this service, such as Screwfix, Toolstation, WoodFinishes Direct, MyToolShed, eBay, Amazon to name but a very few. Come on Tool-Net, sloppy service is unacceptable!

Bought a Moore & Wright vernier caliper, which was cheaper than at other sites, and was delivered 2 days later - can't fault it! Recommended.

DO NOT USE! Your cash is safer with any other online reseller! I came on here to review Tool Net and to my dismay I found a Mr. Singh with exactly the same issue had posted a review some 70 minutes earlier! Just goes to show what a disaster this company really is. I placed the order on the 4th January 2016, Was told I would have the goods within 5 days then no response until I logged back on to track......still no news. Bearing in mind this was for Trend items (who operate a 24 hour delivery service to distributors) and Bosch (who also offer a 24 hour delivery service to retailers). Phoned and cancelled the order on the 12th Jan as placed the order with someone else (who got the items to me within 48 hours as they were out of stock and actually apologised for it!), was told the money would be refunded within 3 - 5 days. Chased the refund on the 26th Jan as still no refund. As of the 2nd Feb 2016 there is still no refund. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

Do not use toolnet here is why I purchased a makita bits and bobs in January, I didn't hear anything from the company after the initial email. This was placed on the 3rd of Jan, I then chased up on the 6th and had a reply from Dannee loosely on the 7th explaining that they didn't have the item in stock . Forgiving I appreciated this I asked for my order to be cancelled as I found it elsewhere. On the 8th Danne explained to me I would be refunded in 3-5 working days. On the 25th I chased again as I still didn't receive my refund, I was told by April Prescott I would receive a refund in 48 hours . It's now been a whole month since I placed my order and no refund. January a difficult month as it is for the trade and holding on to your hard earned cash is some what unforgivable. Don't use these guys stick to screwfix or toolstation.

Ordered a Clarke 4x4 trolley jack, as Tool Net were the cheapest supplier I could find and had good service reviews. I was kept well informed of the delivery status and the item arrived in good time. The trolley jack itself is an excellent piece of kit, very easy to lift a 4x4 and I wish I'd bought one years ago. Thank you Tool Net I will definitely use you again.

I was quoted and invoiced £30.60 to deliver 2 heavy tool chests but after few hours I decided to purchase online instead of bank transfer. After choosing £6.99 option on the website I called in to pay delivery balance and suddenly £30.60 became £40.60 and was still asked to pay full delivery charge. There was no argument that I should pay the balance as the person on the other end didn't seem to understand. I gave up after while as I needed to order quickly. So was ripped off for almost £17. No one ever answers the phone, I called all 3 numbers about 10 times until someone bothered to take the payment. For almost £700 spent I expected better service.

Turned up on time, decent price. However, the bulbs were the incorrect Voltage, I'm pretty sure they will resend. And the delivery driver just left the package on the building site without a signature... Not great. In response to tool-net's response (as I don't know how to do it via trustpilot interface). The order was placed with you Invoice 530324 on 14/01/2016. I was surprised by the delivery driver, as I could have just denied I had received the goods - however, I'm a good customer ! But it was basically left on a building site !! The other lights are up and running and allowing us to work until late - thank you !! Ok, my girlfriend does not like you !!
