This was a fantastic solution - especially for a dog that does not do well in cages, crates or institutional type settings. Our dog came back so happy and without any stress at all. She ate while we were away and didn't need to spend the next week sleeping, which is the usual routine when we come back from vacation. Our host took pictures every day and communicated very well - answering questions right away. This app was very easy to use and extremely user friendly. Fantastic!

This service is wonderful. It helps to meet with the sitter and let doggie and sitter get to know each other - enabling you to go away knowing your pet is taken care of by someone who cares.

We have 2 shelties who are very pampered. One is a bit dog aggressive so it was important for us to find a place with no other pets. We found our family and the experience was wonderful. We received texts and pictures 2-4 times a day with a full account of what they were up to. They weren't even really excited to see us when we returned to pick them up which showed us that they were very comfortable and content. I would not hesitate to use the family and service again when we plan our next trip.

its our second time bring our dog to boarding in Christina's place. after we picked our dog home, we found out our dog is lameness seriously. and during the boarding time-10 days, Christina didn't send any message telling us our dog is not ok!. during the boarding time, all the message she sent to me is our dog doing ok, he is playing with other dogs. However, after we picked him up, our dog is lameness. We even send messages to Christina for why our dog is lameness. And she said " oh it's because three days ago our dog laying behind the door and she closed the door without caution. " shouldn't you send me a message for this? No, she didn't send any message of telling me this do happen. after we taking our dog to the vet, and they said how would this happen? he got inflammation. have to take a rest and restrain his activities area for 5 days. it really makes me heartbroken and guilty I shouldn't out of town without my dog. And the medical fee is over $200, which is not a small amount of money, plus, might have to go back for the second time. I would not recommend Christina anymore, moreover, you guys should be aware don't let the careless people take caring of your beloved dog.

I've had an overall pleasant experience booking vacays for my dogs twice within the last 3 months. Issues are resolved at a decent speed and their concierge service is very good. They've even offered me a nice coupon due to a sitter cancelling on me.

DogVacay does an excellent job allowing owners to find acceptable, reasonable housing for our pets while they are away from their family. My pampered pet is very anxious when left and got along amazingly well with her pet sitter. She was actually excited to see her on my second trip!!! A good sign.

My experience with DogVACAY was amazing. There was a meet and greet required which was quick and delightful. My dogs stay was easy and I was given plenty of updates and pictures. I would definitely do this again.

I feel so lucky to have found this site and to know we don't have to consider a kennel. We found a great DogVacay host about ten minutes away and I can't imagine taking our dog anywhere else. If that host were unavailable, I'd definitely use the site to find an alternative as opposed to trying another method. The response time was super fast, communication very easy, and payment went smoothly. Most importantly though, the site seems to be a way to connect dog owners with true dog lovers, who will not only give your dog personal attention, but welcome them into their home and family. It makes it much easier to be away!
