I heard about Star insurance on my BMW motorcycle Facebook page last year, Have been dealing with them since. I have shifted 5 policies from my existing insurance provider, which I have been with for more than 14 years! Reason better premiums and comparable policy wordings. I haven't made any claims in the past 10 years with any Insurance company so can't comment on claims experience with Star. I have a few more policies to switch to Star when they come up for renewal with my existing provider. Good service and friendly staff. Cheers Nev

Just so easy - a five minute phone call and it was all done, so different to what I'm used to experiencing with insurance. If it was AMI (they have my house, contents and some cars) I'd have been on the phone for an hour before I got someone at all, then it'd be 1001 questions before giving me a quote. In fact, that was my experience a week before my caravan arrived, then they told me they couldn't give me a quote until I gave them the registration, which I'd already told me it didn't have one yet as it had only just got off the boat. That was what their supervisor (sales prevention officer?) told the disinterested person I was talking to - unreal. They could learn a lot from you guys!!

The repair guys turned up! Arrived quickly and fixed stuff, excellent. Could have done with a heads up phone call...

Easy to understand reply of policy types and costs. Quick response to request for quote. Prices and cover seem very competitive. The only minor issue was the roadside cover in the quote did not account for 2 vehicles which I requested. This was quickly picked up by one of your staff at the Rock n Hop stand in Timaru and amended.
