I bought a cardigan on sale on the 5th of August in Regent St London. I was told I have 28 days to return it. Nobody told me that I cannot be refunded. I went back to the shop and to my dismay I was informed that I cannot be refunded. The only option is exchange or a voucher. I don’t want either and it’s my customer right to get a refund as in other shops. There was a small print about your policy on the slip but you don’t expect every customer to read each invoice you get in each shop. I should be informed by the assistant and I was not. I wouldn’t have bought it if I knew about it and you can be assured that I will never shop in Barbour again .

Tremendous repair and rewax of a (very) old jacket. Excellent customer relations (Jarrow). One point knocked off because it took a while ( 2 weeks) for them to get the estimate to me before starting. Thank you.

Asked one of the staff ( Alisha ) if I could pay to fix the hard wear on a Babour rucksack which was obviously copper hence the rust. I was told to take pictures of the rust therefore they could see what could be done. I explained how I don't have the original receipt as it was a gift so completely baffled about how long i'm meant to know how long the other person used it. Anyway, it was sent to customer services and six days later got a very rude e-mail back accusing me of causing the rust because I washed the bag. I washed the bag because it was rusty to begin with! Was also reassured they did not have the hard wear to begin with to replace it. In that case I don't get why they have asked me to send the bag back to them to begin with.

Bought a Barbour messenger bag. The dye ran from the leather and destroyed my clothes. Rang customer service and they did not care. Such much for the perception of Barbour trying to he know as a quality brand…

I was given two pairs of Barbour pajama trousers for Christmas, both have split; the fabric is very weak and not durable. I assume that production of this once great brand is now farmed out to somewhere Far East of here. In my opinion a waste of money and poor quality.

Awful. Purchased shoes for £100 and they split within months. I contacted Barbour who said that as I’d lost the receipt there was nothing they could do. I have the box with all the codes on and the shoes I appear almost new - except for the huge split. Clearly manufacturing issue - would never buy Barbour again.

I ordered a jacket size 14 and it arrived very quickly - tick . However due to their erratic sizing I can be a 10 or 16. I have a few Barbours. This jacket was too big. I returned it the same day by InPost (6th April) - I did not hear anything until an email after I had called a very unhelpful ‘Customer’ Services Team they had the jacket on the 14th April 8 DAYS from the InPost collection! To date I still have not received a refund despite another call to an equally ambivalent and unhelpful Customer no service representative. Last time I will ever use their website - if you read this anyone from Barbour take a look at how another good brand deal with their customers- Boden ! You could learn a thing or two ! very very disappointed with your service.

Although I was disappointed with the quality of a pair of ankle wellies that I purchased (both boots started to split after only a couple of months wear), I must say that the customer service was excellent on dealing with my complaint (hence 4 stars!). My email complaint was dealt with quickly & efficiently, & a Royal Mail code provided so that I could post the faulty boots back to them. Didn’t even ask for proof of purchase. Replacement boots were sent back to me within a week. Best service I have had from a retailer in a long time!!

Bought some wellies for my dad as a gift. He wears them for about one hour a day to walk the dog. In less than a year, the boots have a huge hole and let water in. Really disappointed in the quality as they're an expensive brand! Not worth the money at all.

Fast delivery of boots, but received them with numerous tiny defects on the leather, like it was used or poorly manufactured. Expecting better quality from expensive boots in my opinion, had to send them back and hoping to receive a refund soon.

Quality of clothing is very good even though sizing is erratic However ordered online and it was bad and never again. Their customer service team are bad at answering queries and take forever. Had to return item and used INPOST or snail mail as it should be known took ages to get back to them and took them over two weeks to process a refund ( not in my account yet) I thought the item was lost so had to chase Barbour with emails . Will not use again better if ordering Barbour online use Next or John Lewis

My partner purchased a Barbour Corbridge jacket as a Christmas present for myself in December 2021. By January 2023 the stitching in the right sleeve failed and was gaping open and the lining of the pockets had also given way. On top of this a hole had also developed in the cuff, probably as my arms aren’t quite long enough, causing a crease in the waxed cotton. I contacted Barbour customer services, but was very politely informed, 12 months plus receipt, so that was a no go. Eventually the very helpful Barbour shop in Windsor agreed to pay for it to be repaired locally. Apparently not an uncommon fault. Disappointed with Barbour’s customer service, having had a number of jackets that are still, just about hanging in there after 30 years service. For the price the Corbridge is definitely not worth the money if planning to be worn.

Horrible customer service. After buying a not jacket and asking for a sleeve adjustment they say that adjustments are only for the wax products!!!! So why they even bother selling non wax products.

Given Barbour McKeand leather ankle boots for Christmas & they're already falling apart after a few wears in March - the trim on both soles is coming apart. Really unimpressed - thought these would be good quality & they weren't exactly cheap. Won't touch Barbour again.

I got my hubby a Barbour waxed jacket a few years ago to use during our walks. It looks great and he loved it. After a 2 years of use it started wearing down (wasn’t waterproof and the pockets ripped) at the seams) so we had it re-waxed and fixed by Barbour. Took a while and cost a bit of money but hey, you want to keep it looking good and make sure it’s fixed as per manufacturer’s instruction. 12 months on, with this lovely constant raining this winter the jacket is leaking again at the shoulders and armpits. I’m not impressed by durability of waxing. It’s not like my husband wears this jacket every day.

Disappointed with Barbour. Having been a loyal customer for many years, even my dog has Barbour jackets, I made the error of ordering a coat through House of Fraser (never again). It arrived all crumpled and creased chucked in the bottom of a bag and basically unwearable without being fixed. I do not expect to spend almost £200 on a coat to have to have it treated before I can wear it. Barbour simply don't seem to care about the items they give to their suppliers and the conditions they are kept in before sending out to their customers. I appreciate my contract of sale is with HoF but since they view nothing wrong in poor storage there is no chance of anyone putting this coat in a wearable condition. Barbour should seriously rethink their relationship with this store as its damaging their reputation also when their goods are sent out unwearable. Chloe in CS was great, Robin was unhelpful to say the least. I don't see myself shopping with Barbour again after this.
