Do not buy anything from this company, we bought a pair of wellies from Wilko and they lasted 10 years , cost under £10 . Next we paid £75 for what we thought was quality, they have lasted with minimal use for 2 /3 years and are now split and unusable . You only have to look at all the terrible reviews to realise that the company is care less and clearly their products are made in asia and nowhere near up to standard. Come back Wilkos . I bought a waterproof jacket, flimsy made in Vietnam so the worker probably got 1:50 pounds, its 100% polyester so cheap, it costs 189 pounds jackets probably worth 30 quid, so the label is around 150 quid, if it didn’t have the label showing, you think it would come from primart, I don’t think the hunting/country aristocracy buy this crap anymore, they aim at drug dealers and gangsters. North Face has gone the same way, charge a fortune for mediocre goods!! The lining resembles tissue paper!!! And the sizes are made for twig people, Barbour doesn’t want oversized people wearing their clothes!!!!

0 is not an option and looking at these slippers (my second pair) after giving benefit of the doubt I am not happy and won’t be buying the wax jacket I was saving for or anything again for that matter. Gutted if I’m honest. Finally got to a position I can start to afford “decent” items and this happens again. Would like to put a pic but no option to.

AVOID £50 polo shirt shrunk on cold wash hahahahaha. But I got refund from store - Nice lady 🙏🏼 Barbour please just concentrate on jackets because you are destroying your brand. Even the jackets feel crappie these days. Shame

Just got my coat back after sending off to the repair and rewax service for the first time and the results are far better than expected. I had quite a few small rips and areas of wear, so was worried that having only paid for a few ‘small holes’ and one ‘big hole’ it would extend the life of the jacket a little bit wouldn’t look great; however the patches neatly cover all of the problem areas, lining up with the seams where possible, and with a full rewax the jacket really does look as good as new. The stitching to rips of the inner lining is matched so well you wouldn’t know it had been repaired.

BOOTS - Do not buy. The very first time i tied my boots up, one of the metal loops you thread the lace thriugh snapped off. Not only thay within a couple of wears, the stitching came out of the material at the top of the boot, revealing a white foam material. Awful, awful quality. Barbours only saving grace are the wax jackets. Their clothes are poor quality, to

What a fantastic service! I clumsily managed to rip a press stud out of my jacket. Chloe at Barbour kindly provided me with replacement ones. Saved me a lot of hassle. Highly recommend

I washed my Barbour coat. Not a wax one. It's not waterproof any more. I have now bought Boden Borg parka which is not only warmer but waterproof. I wouldn't buy again. Don't believe the hype

I bought a pair of exceptionally comfortable Barbour Cairngorm boots earlier in the year, which I've worn to work daily just in an office environment. I bought them from a well known online stockist. The boots began to split where the sole and upper are attached. I thought I'd contact Barbour directly for their thoughts instead of the retailer, as 6 months had passed since I bought them. I got a very fast and apologetic reply, requesting photos and proof of purchase. I sent these in and was quickly offered a replacement pair of my choice. It was even pointed out to me that those particular boots aren't waterproof and that the retailer's website was wrong to say that they were. Return instructions and label supplied, and fast dispatch of the replacements. Exceptionally helpful customer service, fast responses, 5 star customer service (4 stars given because of the original problem!). Hopefully the replacement pair last longer, but can't fault the response I got from Barbour whatsoever.

I've got all sorts of Barbour kit including 15 wax jackets, shirts, tee shirts, polos and other jackets. My wife has about 7 wax jackets, even my dog as 2. The wax jackets, whether they are made in the UK or elsewhere are great, as are the rest of the clothing. But the boots are awful.A pair of Redhead chukka boots fell apart after a few wears and a pair of Chelsea although great to look at are very fragile. So clothing 👍, boots 👎

Boots arrived in ok condition however Barbour box literally falling apart. Ripped literally all over with sellotape attempted on one corner to keep together. Sent photos to customer services. Said was done in transit as they “pride themselves on leaving warehouse in a high quality condition” completely missed the point of my email and photos showing sellotape attempted to hold all together. Clearly not interested. These were a gift and now look crap and pre owned. Hardly premium feel which is what I thought Barbour was supposed to be. This is second time happened. If H&M, Ted Baker, Fatface, Joules etc can send in nice presentation why can’t Barbour. Clearly not bothered with creating quality feel and experience. Won’t bother buying from Barbour directly again will just buy sale items from places like Next if item I like. Very disappointing. Surely in these competitive and difficult times a company would pull out all the stops to retain and encourage your custom. Will try and add photos.

Tried to order an item from Barbour on their UK website. I wanted it delivered to the UK even though I live in Spain. Couldn’t complete the purchase. I contacted the company via customer services, only to be told “We don’t deliver to Spain” Yes, I know that you muppets, try reading the email next time!!!

Got a fault with my 4oz wax jacket. Took it back to the store. The jacket was over its guarantee but less than half its life expectancy. Barbour offered me an exchange on the jacket or a spend up to the price of the jacket in store. Excellent customer service. Great attitude and full of understanding.

I bought a pair of Barbour boots at a cost of £140 from local Barbour retailer. The boots have next to no sole wear and have had very little wear. I was out on a day out with family and I noticed the (fake stitching) lining around the sole has come away. Very poor quality and on inspection I see that the stitch edging on the soul is not real and is indeed fake. I am disappointed as the local shoe repair shop has informed me that they cannot be repaired and the soul would need to be purchased fully replaced.

Very poor customer service. 1st time put on jacket, noticed stitching gone at the cuffs. Returned 2 weeks later (as shop 50 miles away) to Barbour shop. Advised no refund as has been worn. Manager unhelpful. Stated no issue with the coat initially and only on our insistence did they then agree there was an issue with stitching. Refused a refund. Said only option to send away for repair. It has been worn for about 5 mins. Do not buy direct from this brand’s store. If had bought from John Lewis then would have had a refund no problem. Poor customer service and would not go to this store again.

About 3 1/2 years ago I bought a pair of Barbour Readhead Chukka Boot Tan from Dune London. They are a casual smart looking boot that go perfectly with a pair of jeans and are comfortable to wear. On that point they have had very little wear since I’ve owned them, maybe worn around 10 times, so there’s no wear on the sole, I’ve only worn my boots when going out socially. In June I was on holiday in Wales and wore my boots to a restaurant which involved a very short walk from where I was staying. When I got back and started taking the boots off I felt the heel area was coming away from the sole. The next day I took photos and emailed Barbour, they replied the next day stating they do not offer any footwear repairs and due to the boots age and that I bought from an alternative retailer there was nothing they could do but offered me 10% off a future purchase from them. I took the boots to a local shoe repairer that I found online with excellent reviews. They commented on how my boots had no wear and kept my boots to be re-glued. When I collected them a few days later they said how poorly and cheaply my boots were constructed, the only positive being the upper on the boots. They said how Barbour had such a good reputation in the past, he had Barbour clothing but if this was the direction Barbour were going, he wouldn’t be buying Barbour products again. My Barbour boots have again failed with the sole coming away. A new pair are £130.00, Barbour will not be getting my business again.

i purchased a Beadnell Barbour jacket from the Rushden Lakes store in February 2023. The in-store staff (Sammi and Jane) were absolutely lovely and made the whole experience such a pleasure. They helped me to ensure I had the right colour and size and were very patient and kind even though it took me ages to choose. I love the jacket, it's warm and comfortable and the firm hood structure is fantastic in the rain. I hope this jacket lasts forever as I love it! Thank you Sammi, Jane and Barbour x
